Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan murano. The contact stated that during routine maintenance with an independent mechanic, it was discovered that the fuel tank was leaking due to a failed seal. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 06v054000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 211,000.
The drivers seat frame broke for no apparent reason. The vehicle has never been wrecked.
2005 Nissan murano with a broken drivers seat lift mechanism. Bought car used and did not know about the broken seat. This is dangerous because the seat is moving when driving. This should be a Nissan recall, that simple...... *tr
While driving along, I took a slight turn and heard a crack sound. All of a sudden the back left corner of my driver seat fell, upon stopping the vehicle, I found I can now easily "rock" my driver seat up/down. Due to this, I have severe back strain while driving along with great concerns of safety, if I go over a bump will my foot slip off the accelerator or brake? If, in an accident will I end up in the back seat while the vehicle is in drive? Is my young family in jeopardy? *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Nissan murano. When the contact sat down in the driver's seat, the seat extended to the back seat inadvertently. He exited the vehicle and noticed that the seat frame failed. The vehicle was driven to the dealer and they could not determine what caused the failure. The driver's seat was replaced. Approximately one year later, the driver's seat frame failed again. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The current mileage was 115,000 and failure mileage was 51,524.
The metal frame on the power drivers seat has broken, causing a rocking-chair affect. While this is only moderately dangerous as it is now, the other pair of welds (assuming they are welds) on the seat frame can snap causing the seat to break free from the frame. A quick search on the internet finds that there are numerous Nissan murano owners w/ the same issue.. And Nissan dealerships are not repairing under warranty, but making "good will adjustments" if the individual dealership is so inclined. In my opinion this is a significant safety risk and needs to be looked into. Thanks. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan murano. The contact was driving approximately 50 MPH when the driver side seat began leaning to the left abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was located at the seat adjuster assembly. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated to the contact that the failure was not a safety issue and denied any further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 98,000 and the current mileage was 99,024.
Driver seat bracket broke unsafe in the event of accident or quick braking. Why would a seat break shouldn't last as long as the car? Dealers won't fix as a warranty issue. *tr
The driver side seat has come off the track on my 2005 Nissan murano. Upon further examination, the seat now lifts on the rear left side which is unsafe and unstable when driving. I have read forums on the internet and I see that this has happened to many Nissan murano owners causing me to report this complaint. *tr
When sitting in the driver's seat, I heard a breaking noise and the seat gave way on the left side. Upon further inspection, the frame on the bottom left of the driver's seat has broken causing the driver to sit in a dangerous and potentially harmful position when operating the vehicle. Contacted a Nissan dealer and was told only fix was to purchase a new seat which would cost $1,700 - $2,000. *tr
05/Nissan truck/murano/4dr sl AWD v6 delivery miles 45,500. Inspection miles 50,131. The drivers seat leans to left, service department verified the main rear crossmember to the lower seat frame is broken & needs to replace track assy . Please refer to this website for numerous identical defects:http://www.aboutautomobile.com/complaint/2005/Nissan/murano/seat dealership states cost to repair is $974.00 and will not honor warranty under my certified used vehicle. If not a recall issue this should fall under the strict liability rule (justice traynor in escola v. Coca cola). *tr

The driver's side sun visor falls down and will not stay up. This distracts the drivers ability to see and is a serious safety concern that will directly result in accidents. This is a common problem on this vehicle and an issue that has been reported by many murano owners.
Issue with the sun visor on both sides. The passenger side has been falling for the past 6 months and now the driver side is starting to fall. Poor workmanship on the part of Nissan and it should be corrected. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Nissan murano. While driving 35 MPH the driver side sun visor fell down every time he drove over a bump in the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that it would cost $400 to replace the sun visor. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 42,000.

The intelligent key system and the key fob do not unlock the doors consistently. They do not unlock the driver or front passenger doors at all, and from time to time will unlock the rear doors. We have been experiencing this for over a year. *tr
Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light stays on after driving about 10 miles. Light does not return after restarting vehicle until driven another 10 miles. Tire pressure checked and rechecked, but no problem with pressure, around 35 PSI. *ln

Transmission seized up without any prior warning. I was traveling on interstate 81 at about 65 miles per hour when I had no power. Engine was working fine, but, as I found out later, my CVT transmission have self destruct, due to a code sent from the TCM module. I was in heavy traffic any was fortunate enough to be able to get to the shoulder of the road and not be involved in an accident. *tr
