The severity tags here tell you which is which — based on what NHTSA documented in deaths, fires, and crashes, not what the press release said.

An instrument panel display that fails to show engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, or electrical charge increases the risk of a crash.

A ball joint that separates from the lower control arm can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
