Sparkplug popping out while driving 60 MPH on highway ,thought it was a blow out of my tire had to quickly move over to the right and exit .found out it was the sparkplug . Later after a few phone calls to dealers and mechanics this is a problem that happens regularly and that Ford knows about this problem. This should never happen. I feel cheated and I would have never bought this truck f-150 at all if I new about this. After all this I will contact the media and local papers to let people know about this problem. I also found out if will start a fire if I kept driving. *tr

The engine began to tick on top. Later it began to tick on the bottom. The engine light came on and I had it checked. The code said it was a cam sensor. As it turned out the engine was not getting the proper amount of oil due to a clogged a oil port restriction. End result had to replace the engine. While at the service center another truck came in with the same problem with similar mileage. Now my son who has a 2005 Ford f150 is experiencing the same issues with his truck with 96000 miles that's three that I know of. *tr
Vehicles misfiring and stubbling during moderate accelerations and cruising when a load is put on motor. ( going up a hill, slight incline and passing). *tr
I own a Ford f150 2006 truck. I took the truck in for the 100k service per the factory specs for a tune up/changing of the spark plugs. The spark plugs are defective and build carbon around the bottom and when they are removed, the ceramic bottoms break off into the cylinder of the engine. *tr
OEM sparkplug in 2006 f-150 king ranch (3-valve engine). Experienced premature plug failure and resulting high replacement costs due to defective sparkplug design. Plug failure resulted in sluggish engine performance that LED to a near accident. *tr

2006 f150 4x4 lariat, 7557 miles. In cold temperature backup sensor sounds alarm as if obstruction is close when there is none. Took to local dealer and sales said this is normal for this model. Am waiting for service to schedule appointment as truck only has a few months left of warranty. Truck is only driven in winter and this is first time in 3 years this has happened. *tr
Computer keeps throwing code for intermittent cam shaft position sensor circuit a bank 1. Cause truck to run on only half power. Poor MPG. No horsepower. Hesitation in shifting.
Motor is missing and the codes are p0345, p0349 and p0171
Under normal operation the gas pedal stops responding, the check engine light comes on and after about 30 seconds the engine shuts off. I have to stop , put the truck in park , turn off the key and restart the truck. This resets the computer and the truck seems fine for a while till it happens again. This has happened several times mostly on back roads. Today it happened while I was entering a busy highway. I was almost hit by on coming traffic. *tr
steering 3 complaints shown
While driving I noticed that the steering seemed sloppy and unresponsive. Difficult to keep the vehicle in the lanes especially going into or out of curves. Upon reaching my destination I asked my associate to observe the steering components while I turned the wheel with the engine off. He immediately noticed the entire rack and pinion assembly shifting back and forth. Upon further inspection I found that of the two bolts that hold the unit to the chassis one had a loose nut and the other had no nut at all. The threads on the bolt w/o the nut appeared to never have even had a nut but I can not be sure of this. Needless to say I was a little more than upset that I had put myself and others at great risk over poor assembly quality control. *jb
Was driving my 2006 f-150 over a mountain pass in canada. There was compact snow and ice on the roadway and I was traveling with other vehicles around me at approximately 40 MPH. The vehicles ahead of me began to brake, I as well tried to brake only to find my truck had lost power and was no longer running. I had lost power to my brakes and steering. This caused my truck to begin sliding on the snow and ice and I was unable to control my vehicle. The cars around me were slowing and stopping and I could not. I began to fish tail in both directions while trying desperately to control my truck with no brakes or power steering, I eventually did a complete 360 degree spin and somehow managed to get the truck under control with out rolling over and into the ditch or smashing into the other vehic
Last week I started noticing my steering starting to get stiff and the wheel does not recenter after a steer to the left or right. Ive had to do some quick muscling to recenter the wheel. I've just finished researching some other Ford forums for this vehicle and many owners have reported the same issue with the u joints on the steering column rusting or seizing. I will try spraying some anti seize on the u joints tommorow until I can get it to a garage.my truck has approximately 103,000 miles on it . This is dangerous and with the amount of complaints on this it should be recalled by Ford to correct.

All Ford light trucks, suvs, and cars manufactured since 1987 all the way until 2006 need to have the headlights adjusted. I have been driving for 24 years and I have seen these vehicles switch from high to low beams and the lights are still too bright. This is dangerous because it blinds incoming traffic drivers. This is also true when Ford products are driven behind other vehicle. This is far too dangerous and the problem needs to be investigated. *nm
