Excessive out-of-balance vibration with 20"pirelli scorpion atr tires on 2007 f-150. The internet is full of similar complaints. My service Ford dealership says there is a tsb that explains that this condition for the "first 20 miles from rest" is normal. That's hardly acceptable. My mileage is just under 12,000 and my tire warranty is soon expired. They have rebalanced the tires 4-5 times during this period. *tr

Hankook dynapro as p235-70-r17s tire with approximately 60% wear (according to Ford dealership where vehicle was purchased and tires replaced). During normal driving noticed abnormal bumping that appeared to be associated with tire or front end. Took vehicle to shop to check balance and wheel alignment. Tech found the above described tire had separated and the steel belting was protruding through the tread and top of sidewall. Tire was about to fail. Driver contacted hankook and forwarded a photograph of the tire to the representative. Hankook agreed to a 40% refund of the amount that Ford paid (not what I paid) for the tire if I would return the tire or a piece from it containing the DOT number. Ford took the tire for return to hankook. Three weeks have passed and I have not hear

2007 Ford f150 was leased from enterprise leasing on march 31, 2008 at gainesville, florida. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) showed low tire pressure at time of lease delivery. Agent for enterprise had tires inflated at time of lease delivery. Was informed by enterprise that tires and air pressure were fine. On april 6, 2008 (6 days later), the vehicle hydroplaned going 55 MPH in 55 MPH zone on straight, level roadway and crashed almost killing complainant and wife. Discovered uneven tread on tires and defective tire valve stem on front passenger side tire. *tr
Front left tire deflated rapidly while traveling on an interstate. Before I could get safely off the highway the tire came apart. Upon examination the only reason for the loss of air appears to be a cracked valve stem. I checked the other 3 wheels and found the valve stems all cracked. I could have had multiple tire failures! I purchased a new tire and am having all 5 valve stems replaced. This could very easily have been a deadly accident. Ford customer service will not acknowledge that this is a defect, they say it falls under the 12 month tire warranty, my vehicle is 17 months old. *tr
I bought a used Ford 2007 f-150 super crew cab 4x4. New tires were put on by the dealer. I have had three separate incidents of the tire valve stems breaking and causing deflation while in movement. After two breaking I went to the dealer and complained. I was told they had no reason or complaints of this occurring.while traveling out of state I had a third stem break. Each time I had new stems replaced. I began researching for myself and found an article which stated that Ford had complaints of defective valve stems on almost all their vehicles including mercury's. After two attempts and complaints to my dealer I went to a local tire distributor and they recommended replacing all rubber valve stems with brass high pressure valve stems. After doing this I have not had a problem. The cost f

Pickup would not stop at stop sign with the brake on. The rear wheels were spinning with the brakes on firmly. This has now happened twice and both times I threw the transmission into neutral to stop the malfunction.. *tr
Started to accelerate out of a parking lot and heard a loud thumping so I pulled over got out looked at the driveshaft seen it had slid back. A bit out of the transmission also out of the carrier bearing. *tr
Gear slipped out of park as I was exiting vehicle. I had not yet closed the door and the truck began to move down the driveway. I was caught by the door and dragged along until the door threw me to the ground, injuring my back. The truck came to rest on both of my legs. I was able to pull out my left leg easily resulting in just a few cuts, scrapes and partial black and blue spots. Wounds all heeled themselves. However my right was thoroughly pinned and I had to pull long and hard to remove it from under the tire resulting in lost flesh at my ankle bone to right below my knee and about 4 to 5 inches wide. *tr

Engine was replaced in 2011 under warranty at 51,864 miles. Now at 105,662 this engine is doing the same thing. There is defiantly a problem with the engines. Ford needs to recognize and acknowledge and fix this issue with their product. If your engine does not work correctly, how can your Ford be - Ford tough!
Was experiencing a shutter similar to the feeling of a misfire when accelerating up a grade from level road conditions. This shutter was between 1250 and 1500 RPM. Took the vehicle to Ford dealership who eliminated coil pack and torque converter as the source of the problem. I had taken another vehicle I own to a repair shop I have used foe several years for an oil change and when I picked up my vehicle I mentioned the problem I was having with my 2007 Ford f150 and they advised that my problem was probably misfire on one or more plugs. They advised me that they had dealt with this same problem over the past few years. They proceeded to inform me that there was a major problem with replacing the plugs-they could break when removing. If that happens and it did (4 plugs broke) then additiona

The fram is eat up on my truck and Ford wont fix it at alli call and they keep giving me the run around I think that the truck will break into and cause a serious wreck because of it
The coil spring on the driver's side strut broke which appears to be a well documented reliability problem on the f150 trucks. The mechanic said that this failure always happens on the drivers side and the spring breakage is always in the same spot. The id tag on the part was u 4l34 5310- but the rest was not legible.

I started my truck after washing it, it was running rough so I shut it off and tried to restart it and it would not start. After having it towed to a repair garage the technician discovered the fuel module was bad, and had to be replaced it. After looking on line I found out that this is a common problem with these trucks from 2004-2008 models. Sounds like a poor design. *tr

brakes 1 complaint shown
At slow speeds, 5 to 10 MPH, and when the engine is cold, when you attempt to brake for a stop, the engine can rev to 1750 to 2000 RPM, prohibiting your stop, potentially causing an accident. A hard braking action is necessary or shifting to neutral is required. After discussing this complaint with another Ford truck own, we'd decided that our right foot was not only attempting to depress the brake pedal, but also the gas pedal simultaneously. Both are in close proximity of each other, which provides for this opportunity. I'd suggest a design change, toward Ford, separating the two pedals slightly in a better attempt to avoid this from happening. I'm sorry for the form submission, but it was in an attempt to correct a something I'd thought was a real issue. Thank you for your time.

My wife was driving her 2007 f150 crew cab with 33,000 miles. She was approaching a stop sign and the engine revved vary high and she could not stop for the intersection. Fortunately there was no oncoming traffic as she shot straight through the intersection before she got the vehicle under control. She was scared to death. I called the Ford dealer and they say they never heard of the problem! I told them to do an internet search and they will see thousands of documented cases but I've yet to see a solution posted. *tr
