I went to check on safercar.gov since I received a letter saying Mazda would be replacing the dash due to glare condition potential (2015) to find updated status and also for air bag. The air bag issue is still incomplete for over 7 months. By VIN look-up, I find two additional recalls for door latch and fuel tank in which I was unaware. Date on this complaint reflects first contact from Mazda. Also, 4 interior items broken, including a cracked rear-view mirror. *tr
Takata recall: called Mazda to have the aribag recall I rcvd remedied book the appointment then received a call moments later that no Mazda has the parts yet to correct this issue.
My Mazda was recalled due to air bag inflator that could explode resulting in sharp metal fragments striking the passenger or other vehicle occupants. When I called my Mazda dealer to get it in to be fixed I was told the parts are on back order at Mazda and they could not give me an eta on when they would get parts in. How can Mazda allow it's customers to continue driving their car with no recourse to give us a rental car in the meantime if they can't fix an issue that I would consider extremely serious and needing to be fixed immediately? My wife is pregnant and we have a toddler who rides in a carseat in the backseat and we now feel unsafe to drive our car. I would expect this matter to be taken much more seriously than it is. I'm very disappointed in Mazda and the way this recall is be

Right front headlamp repeatedly goes out and it's neither the bulb nor the fuse! Subsequently stuck driving home with high beams (to see well enough to navigate safely) but fearful the glare creates a safety issue for opposing traffic - a twofer! Note; banging on the side of headlamp assembly with closed fist 'sometimes' has it come back to life. Looked online and - surprise, surprise - there are lots of complaints about this same thing! Sadly, I'm afraid someone's going to get killed and I just hope not to be involved. Please read what others say about this here; http://www.carproblemzoo.com/Mazda/mazda6/headlights-problems.php . . . And many more complaints on youtube
I'm having problems with my head lights on my 2010 Mazda 6. My head lights went out in november 2013 and I've changed the head lights out three times since within a 2 year time frame. I'm using the expensive sylvania h7 silver star zxe head light bulbs and they're burning out. Also the seal around the head lights aren't secure because water and condensation has always been an issue with this car.
Low beam headlights turn off on their own with slight vibration, or knock that can be caused by either a pothole, bump in the road, or speed bump. I discovered on the internet that this, is a super common problem for all Mazda 6 (second generation) owners, and they have to bang their fists on the headlight assembly outside the vehicle to turn them on. I tried this method as well, and it worked for me despite being dangerous.

The dashboard in my 2010 Mazda 6 is melting into a sticky, shiny substance with a tar-like appearance. In sunny weather the reflections created by the meted dashboard severely affect my visibility out of the passenger-side of my windshield. When taking right-hand turns I often need to crane my neck to see around the bright reflections created on my windshield from the affected dashboard material, which is about 1 square foot in size. I have trouble seeing pedestrians coming from the passenger side of my car due to the reflections. I have tried to clean off the sticky material to no avail. This safety issue is making me feel uncomfortable while driving my car, both on the road, highway, or even in a parking lot.
Since I have owned car, gradual deterioration of interior components to include safety item; cracked rear-view mirror, ceiling sunglasses holder (blocks rear-view mirror, change holder (hit every time get into car), seat track cover (danger of putting finger inside), and steering wheel plastic loose. I have images of the remaining items, although file size prevented upload and can send under separate cover.

Years of unexpected battery drain and rough starts which caused several other issues. Different mechanic advised of a faulty body control module BCM.
Both rear tire pressure sensors failed due to either over-tightening or corrosion. Both sensors snapped off right below the sensor stem cap causing both rear tires to deflate. On a newer car still under warranty, Mazda claims sensors are only covered until 36000 miles. And they're not cheap either ($80 each, not including installation.) *tr

For many years and I've run into a serious issue with my current 2010 Mazda 6. Over the last five years I've had to replace the master cylinder multiple times, which I'm to understand from the mechanics is "extremely unlucky", however I feel there is another underlying issues. Attached is the brief timeline of the incidents based on the paperwork. Regardless of whether the car is in motion or powered down the car has 'mushy brakes' with the brake pedal "collapsing" to the floor with little applied pressure. As you can see I have had three previous attempts to have the problem addressed, which were unsuccessful. The root cause of the issue was not even considered until a mechanic friend of mine suggested they look at the master cylinder as the root cause, which was looked at on ins
When applying foot to the brakes, the pedal "collapse" to the floor with little to no resistance. Releasing the brake pedal and quickly pumping does regain some resistance, but braking is affected. The problem is intermittent and is not triggered by any specific event. *tr

My front sub frame was completely rotted, unsafe to drive and was repaired with Mazda's recall. It now appears that the REAR sub frame is rusting at an excessive rate. I have been reading several complaints where the same incidents are happening with the rear sub frame snapping while people are driving. Car is not safe. This needs to be addressed by Mazda. They are aware of front sub frame, but failed to include the REAR sub frame. Not sure what to do at this point, it will costs thousands to repair, yet is NOT SAFE to drive. Please look into this matter as this is a very serious issue and will result in serious injury or death.
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
When I enter car and attach seat belt, at some point during starting out or in the process of going down the road, the seat will start leaning backwards due to the seatbelt being hooked around the lever to tilt the seat back. My feet no longer reach the gas or break pedal when this happens. I have been fortunate enough that it has not been the cause of an accident so far. It happens at any time after starting out or anytime during driving or in motion. Seems to be happening more often the longer I have had it.

Fuel tank assembly ⁃ my vent line was clogged to where my fuel tank created a leak & then fuel tank collapsed while I was driving . I drove my car for 2 days without knowing & did not realize it until I was filling up gas into my car & I noticed the gas leaking profusely . I took my car to the dealership, in which I discovered that my fuel tank assembly was installed improperly.

Vehicle was repaired as part of NHTSA campaign number: 11v134000 on 21 july 2011. However, vehicle's fuel tank cracked in april 2013 and had to be replaced at owner's expense. After smelling gasoline after fill up and noticing a puddle of gasoline in driveway in april 2013, owner had vehicle towed to Mazda dealer for repair. Dealer replaced tank on 15 april 2013. Over the last year and several attempts, Mazda has since declined to reimburse owner for repair and reprogram ECU per NHTSA campaign number: 14v114000. Recall from july 2011 was supposed to eliminate the possibly of a cracked fuel tank, but it didn't. Owner has pictures of cracked tank and dealer work orders from july 2011 and april 2013 and can provide if needed. Owner worried that if the ECU isn't reprogrammed, the tank w
