Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen eos. While the vehicle was in reverse or drive, it failed to move forward or shift into neutral. When the contact powered off and restarted the engine, the vehicle resumed normal operation. In addition, the check engine warning indicator remained illuminated and the brake warning indicator intermittently illuminated. Also, while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to Audi buffalo (5255 gneiss st, , ny 14026, (888) 420-1357) where it was diagnosed that the gear box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic who made the same diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. My car doesn't always go in reverse. The rem panel signal goes from 0-5 in minutes but feels like it's stalled. The engine light is always on. I read that there has been a recall because of a gear malfunction. And an extended warranty for cars up to 10years old or 100,000 miles. I fit into this category. This happens when I start the car and stop at a stop sign. I've taken my car to vw dealerships and private dealers and they can't seem to figure it out.
After driving my car of and on for about two hours, I was leaving from a friend's driveway and realized my car would not go into reverse. I had to put the car in neutral and push the car out of the driveway. This way very humitating. After speaking to a Volkswagen dealership, they advised me that this has been an ongoing issue for sometime. Well I'm sorry Volkswagen I don't have money to waste, especially when they know that this has been a serious problem. I have children that I have to transport back and forth and at this point I dont feel that my Volkswagen is a reliable car. Please tell me there is a recall in place for this problem.
2010 vw eos. Dsg transmission.<43,000 miles. Issue: intermittent - loss of motive power attempting to move from stationary position to reverse/drive and/or delayed power engagement (jerking). Loss of power when shifting into reverse from stationary position on common drive (slight incline) causes the car to roll forward presenting risk of collision (oncoming vehicle from opposing garage, pedestrian, infrastructure). Delayed engagement jerk in same situation presents risk of collision (passing vehicle (waiting for me to move, decides to pass, clutch engages and jerks car backwards), pedestrian, infrastructure). Parallel parking on major city street lost power in reverse and drive causing traffic backup and other vehicles to veer into oncoming traffic lane. Unpredictable delayed drive engage
For at least the last year the car has been "jerking" and/or "not taking off" when I step on the accelerator (when accelerating from a stand still or if pressing on the pedal when in motion). I have told the auto dealer more than once and was told they checked it and it was fine. So, the last time I took it in (the car only has 39,000 miles on it) I insisted that someone from the dealership take a ride with me as the problem still existed. The tech advisor did and admitted there is definitely a problem. I was 1st told it was a mechatronis coding error having to do with the dsg. Now I have been told it is a clutch pak and that is not covered under warranty. I spoke to vwoa and they said some of the vehicles had been granted dsg warranty extensions however, mine was not one of them b

Driver's seat airbag is defective. This was discovered when the vw dealer repaired the steering wheel airbag on recall. I've researched the seat airbag and taken to an independent master auto mechanic who told me the wiring to the seat airbag is getting caught on the drivers seat track. Definitely, an assembly design defect that vw refuses to acknowledge. There is an internet full of identical driver's seat airbag issues.

While my wife was driving home from work last night on a dark curvy two lane road, the right front headlight, fog light, marker light/signal, right rear tail light/brake light/signal, third brake light, and strangely the left front side maker, all went out at once. Only the daytime running lamp, side marker light, and mirror signal light were still functional on the right side of the car. When she parked in the driveway I checked the fuses and found the 30-amp fuse at the rear of the under hood fuse block was very hot but not blown. When I wiggled it all the affected lights came back on. I then removed the fuse and the plastic around the terminal that was towards the passengers side of the car was melted. The fuse block itself also suffered some melting at this terminal. The 30-amp fuse wa
Last week, while turning into our driveway, the steering wheel made a sound like rubber grinding. Immediately, an error message appeared indicating an airbag failure. The following day, while driving on a 4-lane highway, another vehicle began a lane change while I was in its blind spot. I applied the brakes, and attempted to sound the horn to alert the other motorist to avoid collision, however the car's horn failed. The accident was avoided, but the experience was unnerving. My wife took the vehicle to a local vw service center on 10/5/18, and was told the failure was related to an issue with the clock spring, a repair which she was told was uncovered by recall. We were a little suspicious, because the dealer had just performed a takata airbag recall service in february, then today

In 2015, there was a recall for the clock spring. A repair was made, not a replacement when the vehicle had approximately 30,000 miles on it. In sept. 2018 at approximately 56,000 miles, the airbag light came on and all steering wheel controls were lost including the horn. Vw is refusing to cover the repair under the recall because of the cover that was initially installed in 2015. It is obvious that the cover did not fix the issue and the clock springs are faulty and extremely dangerous as they airbag and horn do not work when they fail. If they had replaced the clock spring in 2015, I would understand a second one not being covered. However, they did not replace it, they placed a cover over it. Their refusal to address the recall properly and replace the part is unacceptable. I h
