Takata recall : since february dealer has been unable to supply part and cannot provide a date repair can be made. I live in hot humid climate and car remains outside. If I die it will be one in a long list of fatalities. Don't want to be a statistic.

Takata recall I have contacted two BMW retailers in my area asking to schedule an appointment to have my airbags replaced and both responses were "we don't have the part but will order it and call you back when ready to schedule the replacement". I haven't heard back from either and I contacted BMW mountain view over 9 months ago and BMW peter pan over 4 months ago. I am deeply concerned for the safety of me and my family since there is a known defect in the airbag that could be deployed in the case of an accident. I hope this never happens but the fact there is a known threat in my car which could be life threatening at any moment and there is no urgency to resolve this issue from BMW or the airbag manufacturer is very disappointing.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 BMW 335i. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact's vehicle collided into a tree without warning. The air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact declined assistance from the emt, but went to an urgent care. Facility for cuts to the right hand, fracture to the right pinky finger, a concussion, an unknown partially deflated lung, and inconclusive x-rays. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company to an auto body collision center to assess the damage. It had not been determined if the vehicle was destroyed. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
This recall came out in feb 2016 and the estimated resolution is "beginning of 2017" my vehicle requires shipment to the uk and the shipping company won't do it unless the recall is complete or I receive a letter saying it's safe to ship, which BMW won't provide, but it's safe enough for me to drive for 9 months?

Engine seized 10 miles after oil filter housing gasket was replaced. Car has 107k miles and has been meticulously maintained. Now I'm going to have to spend from $8k-$10k for a new engine. Never received a warning light. From what I've been reading, this is not uncommon after that specific job is done and the gasket starts leaking around 100k so it is necessary to address.

I would formally like to report a major safety concern I have regarding my new 2011 BMW 335is convertible. From a standstill without modifying any of the default configurations on the car, flooring the gas pedal, the car lurches forward (as expected) and then power completely cuts out for a second and then will continue on its way. My guess is the dsc is kicking in causing power to be reduced and then re-established. My concern is that a brand new car should be able to be floored without this happening. I recently had this exact situation occur as I was pulling out into traffic and very narrowly missed getting pummeled by another car when power was cut to my car. I have taken my car to my BMW service station and although they agree that the car should not do this?they at the same time
November 25, 2016 approximately 17:44 (5:44 pm est) my 2011 BMW 335d stalled while driving. "engine malfunction reduced power" alert was on screen. I was able to re-start it, and continued on my way. This is a re-occurring dangerous problem with this car. BMW needs to fix this before somebody gets killed.

Before I start my description I need to mention that my car has been serviced for all recall notices related to the vehicle make and model!! On december 15, 2015 my 2011 BMW 335i sport model stopped while I was driving. There was no warning messages for this issue. Several minutes prior to the car stopping I received a warning message that my wind shield wiper fluid was low. I was driving straight with traffic on a city street approximately 35-40 MPH on a clear evening, no weather issues. The stearing wheel became hard to turn and when pressing on the gas pedal the car would not accellerate and it slowed down . I put my flashers on and moved to a safe lane where there we no cars driving, put the car in park, turned it off and removed the key from the ignition and waited for a minute.

While driving the car will automatically go into neutral. When idle too the car goes into neutral and you can't shift into drive. When driving on the highway it hits neutral and the car redlines, the car will coast down the highway until it hops back into gear
Loss of power failure, it lights up several times when turning corners and then accelerating.
BMW 335d automatic with approx 60k miles. While driving on the highway at approx 60 MPH, the vehicle suddenly began to make noise, shake violently and fill with smoke. The passenger side curtain airbags went off from the violent shaking. My husband piloted it across 2 lanes of traffic to the shoulder. The center console and shifter were lifted up several inches. We were shocked that we did not wreck. We set the emergency brake and called BMW roadside assistance. It was towed to the nearest dealership. The dealer said it was 100% mechanical failure and the driveshaft broke and caused significant damage to the transmission and that they could not repair it. *tr

Fuel sending unit has broken and began to expel fuel out upwards within the rear bottom of the back seat were the sending unit is located. The plastic that ensembles the gas sending unit itself cracks over a certain period amount of time and causes gasoline to spray in that area. Gas has began to accumulate outside the gas tank right above the sending unit part, which causes harmful and incredibly strong gasoline odor inside the car and outside the car, predominantly on the back seat of the driver area. Very dangerous for even a small amount of fire to be near it. The problem cause a harmful and overwhelming amount of dangerous gasoline fumes to tolerate breathing near that area or the car itself.
