For 1 month the vehicle was difficult to start. It would crank just fine, but the engine would not 'ignite' (especially when cold.) the vehicle would finally start after 5-10 long attempts (turning the engine over and over and then turning the key to the off position before trying again.) this difficult startup issue lasted for 4 weeks. At that point the vehicle began to stall after running for 10 - 20 minutes (sometimes while driving.) finally, after parking the vehicle one evening, the fuel pump continued to run after the engine was shut off and the key was removed. It wasn't noticed right away, so by morning the battery was completely dead. All my research indicated the fuel relay is faulty. But the relay is built into the tipm and there is no easy fix. This seems to be happening
After driving at highway speeds for 2 hours, when returning home and shutting off the engine, I heard whirling noises coming from my fuel tank. Upon moving the vehicle, 30 minutes later, the van experienced a rough start. The following morning, the battery was dead. After jumping off the vehicle, it ran smoothly but I am concerned this will happen again.

In addition, while driving, the vehicle suddenly shut off. The vehicle was taken to jacksonville Chrysler in jacksonville, florida where it was diagnosed that the tipm module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact also indicated that both sliding back doors randomly opened and the front windows would sometimes fail to close. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 68,000.

Tipm failing. Our 2011 Dodge grand caravan only has 78,000 miles on it, yet the tipm is causing all sorts of problems. The biggest issue is that the vehicle won't start on occasion, and it's progressively getting worse. The engine turns over, but it doesn't start after several attempts. This happened again today. Other times it won't even turn over. When it doesn't turn over, we usually put the vehicle into neutral and back into park, then it usually starts. We've also had the check engine light come on many times. One set of codes was for a camshaft positioning sensor, so we replaced those. Then a couple weeks later it did it again, so we had them replaced again. After a few months we then had the light come on and the dealership eventually had the pcv hose and valve replace
Our 2011 Dodge grand caravan started having major electrical issues, where the vehicle would run, but the blinkers, the dash lights, heater/ac, radio, and bluetooth would all not work at once. The win module had to be replaced. As soon as that was done, the vehicle would not start. Then, shortly afterwards, when the vehicle was parked in our enclosed garage we noticed a phantom noise coming from the vehicle. After investigation we were able to determine that the vehicle had not turned all the way off, but was in fact still running and producing carbon monoxide. We tried turning it on and off again several times to see if it would turn all of the way off, to no avail. Let me be clear. Our vehicle was turned off. It was in an enclosed garage with the usual amount of ventilation, I.e. Very li
Wireless ignition node (win) module position fails compromising the ability to start the engine with key fob. This was repaired once for 122 dollars. Three months later, dealership wants 1200 to fix it. Vehicle was stationary and tow truck was required.
My tpim is bad found out after getting my alternator, battery, and starter replaced. It is not sending signal to my fuel pump.
At first starting my Dodge grand caravan mainstreet was a headache. We would go out to start our caravan and it took about 20 to 30 cranks before it would turn over. It stopped cranking on saturday december 5, 2015. We had to get it towed home. Mind you I work 2 jobs and had to be at my second job on saturday at 2:30 pm. We got it towed and had a mechanic come out to look at it. He found that the starter had stopped. We took the starter to an auto parts store for them to check it. The starter had died. We purchased the starter and got it installed and our car still would not stay cranked. The mechanic tested all our fuses and our fuse pump and found that one of our fused(m25) that goes to the fuel pump was not getting enough power to it. Researching online I found that Dodge has a civil su
My grand caravan has issues starting, it just cranks and does not start. I had a Dodge mechanic check it out and he found it had the common issue of a bad fuel pump relay in the tipm. This same issue exists in the durango of the same year and it has a recal, why tfk aren't the caravans included. It's the same fix installing an external relay bypassing the one on the tipm.

The fuel pump relay on the totally integrated power module (tipm) on my 2011 Dodge grand caravan is operating intermittently which is causing engine stalls and hard starts. After researching the problem, I found that there is already a recall (safety recall r09 / NHTSA 15v-115) for the same issue for other Dodge and Jeep vehicles equipped with the same engine & tipms. Troubleshooting has verified that the fuel pump relay is indeed the issue. An attempting to purchase the relay kit cbwpr091aa specified in the recall from my local Dodge dealer in conway arkansas failed. They tell me they can't sell me the part because the recall does not cover my vehicle and that I would have to bring the vehicle in for a $1000+ tipms board replacement. While driving through a roundabout at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle was hit on the right side rear sliding door by another vehicle. Two of my children were in the second row seats. The right side door was crushed and the glass was shattered and projected through the van to the left side. The side curtain air bags never deployed. The air bag light was not on, so there was no indication of a fault. This is a serious safety concern and should be addressed.

Driving straight, approx 35 MPH on 2-lane state highway passing through small town with rush hour traffic on both lanes and no shoulder. With no prior warning, all red instrument warning lights went on at once, including fuel pump/throttle, brakes and others. Car stalled dead and instantaneously lost power to steering and brakes, was impossible to control. Would not restart. Fortunately driver was able to steer vehicle partly off road into a driveway of busy store, blocking driveway to customers. State police were unable to get car in neutral to push to safe location. Police ordered car towed and it is currently awaiting diagnosis for totally integrated power module("tipm") failure at Dodge dealership. This was a life-threatening failure and if it had happened at nearly any other lo

Check engine light is not resetting due to p0740 code even after changing valve body and related solenoids on transmission. Van does not have any issues while driving. No gas mileage issues. Currently it is ~93k. Dealer is also not sure. He says need to overhaul the torque converter (cost $1100) then he will know if anything else is damaged. In that case he has to rebuild the transmission (cost $2800). 2nd option to put a remanufactured transmission (cost $3100). I have read online there is a ongoing issue with Dodge transmissions (2011 to 2014 models) which is not being recalled. Many a times changing transmission did not solve the issue. My personal mechanic also said he got this issue in many of the Dodge vans. Would request NHTSA to seriously consider this investigation.
