I am writing regarding the NHTSA Recall Number23V651000. I have been on a waiting list since July when the recall notice about a remedy finally being determined was sent in the mail. I have now called Hyundai of Cool Springs in Tennessee about where I am on the list. At one point they were saying September, then when I called again they were thinking some time in November. We are now almost out of November and I am not getting any updates and would like to park my daughter's vehicle in the garage. The dealership is saying that parts or something on back order with no idea on when I can expect an appointment to resolve this issue. I didn't let my daughter take the car to college thinking I would be able to resolve this by the time we were hitting winter break and her returning to school i

No known malfunction at this time on my vehicle - however a recall #251 has been issued with no repair available. Recall strongly recccommends parking car outside and away from structures due to possible fire which can also occur during driving. This problem has been going on with Hyundai cars for several years - AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION??? I called my two local dealerships and neither was aware of recall campaign 251. I asked if my ABS module completely failed - what module would they replace it with? I was advised that they would probably sell me a new one costing $1900 plus labor THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Hyundai is not taking this seriously - This is not being repaired in a timely manner. PLEASE RESTRICT THEM FROM SELLING ANYMORE CARS IN THE USA UNTIL THIS RECALL HAS A

Hydraulic tensioner failing resulting in timing slip and catastrophic engine failure. Our car had stopped working while travelling on a residential neighbourhood, and needed a tow to the dealership. Upon investigation, we found out that the timing belt tensioner failed, likely due to lack of oil pressure. There was oil in the engine at the time set at the correct level. We later found out that this similar motor on other models has had a large recall. Pluggage could have LED to lack of oil pressure causing it to fail. Luckily no other damage occured during this incident but this could have potentially high consequences if travelling on the freeway. Hyundai has shown no support or recognition in this issue so far and it should be reported.

While driving, the rpms increased, and the engine revved and made a clicking noise. All the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and smoke emerged from the engine. The contact lifted the hood and noticed oil spilled all around the engine. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who stated that the engine needed to be replaced. According to Hyundai it was a bolt that got loose and caused all the havok. While driving my 2011 Hyundai tucson manual stick shift on the freeway in 5th gear, the clutch came apart. According to the service tech, the clutch had no significant owner wear and tear. Today I was out in my 2011 Hyundai tucson. Two of the lights came on the dash, one is for traction control and the other had to do with hills(sorry my car is at the dealer and I don't have the book to tell you the exact light description; one is orange with a vehicle and little skid marks after it the other is red with a vehicle going down a steep hill). I went to stop at a store and my car would not go into park from drive, the farthest I could get it was in neutral. After messing with it for 5 minutes I finally got the car into park. After leaving that store I went to go to another and had the same issue. I immediately called the dealer for service and took my vehicle there. I have done some searching online and see that this is not a new issue with tucsons as people with older mod

The car would not start when I went to start it up. It was parked outside overnight in 20 degree weather and just clicked when I went to start it. I had to call Hyundai roadside assistance to come and jump the car. They did and it took them a couple of tries and they had to use their vehicle, not the portable starter. They said that the battery was drained. There was no reason for that because there were no lights left on. I took it in for service and they checked the battery and said it was it happened again on february 3, 2013 and I had to do the same thing. I had the dealership check the battery and it was fine. On march 15, 2013, the dealership checked the battery and it registered a strong charge. The dealership wanted me to leave the car there overnight to duplicate the c
