Takata recall - I have owned a Toyota corolla 2011 for about 2 years now, & within 6 months of buying this car from a dealership I get notice from Toyota that my car has the front passenger airbag recall. I have called corporate Toyota about 5 times in 8 months and still to this day, they have no answer for when they can fix this issue, and all of the Toyota dealerships I have gone to in my area (3 of them) cannot help fix my vehicle as well. I asked if I could take off my passenger airbag until it becomes fixed and they said "no". So now I literally am driving a death trap. I'm not supposed to have anyone in my front passenger seat, but I have a family, how the heck can I not have someone in the front passenger seat. Tbh I don't know if this airbag issue for Toyota will ever be fixed. All

2011 Toyota corolla. Consumer writes in regards to passenger side airbag replacement parts not available to repair recall and no loaner vehicle available to consumer. *smd
It was a four car pile up. A car that was two cars in front of me suddenly stopped and cause traffic to come to a complete stop, nobody was hit at first. A black truck did not realize traffic had stopped and had a lot of speed on him and crashed into a van that was behind me which crashed into my Toyota corolla which caused me to run into the suburban in front of me. My car and the van who hit me were totalled out, but during the wreck my air bag never deployed and the guy who worked at the towing place said he does not see why my air bag did not deploy. He said it should have deployed. *tr
"takata recall" I am concerned because the notice I received states in bold underlined letters, until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. It has been 6 months since I received this notice... I don't feel safe driving my own car and it is extremely inconvenient and ridiculous to have my regular passengers sit in the backseat. When will a remedy be available? I have gotten no answers... I pay a lot every month for a product I don't feel safe in. *tr

Takata recall. This issue has gone on too long without a remedy and I have not been properly advised of my rights. I contacted Toyota (corporate) and they told me to contact my local dealer to get a loaner vehicle. My local dealer has since told me they don't provide loaner vehicles. What am I entitled to? My insurance agent tells me there has to be an incident before they can cover the cost of a loaner vehicle. This issue has taken over six months so far. I have a disabled husband who has trouble sitting in back seat. I have a carpool partner who has trouble sitting in back seat. Although it is over six months later, Toyota still does not have a timeline for a remedy. I have received no updates since the may 2016 notice of recall.

Takata recall .I want to submit a complaint about my 2011 corolla airbag inflator recall from Toyota ! I received the first safety recall notice on may but until now this safety recall issue is not fix yet ! I believe that Toyota has failed to remedy within the reasonable time ! Thank.
Takata recall - when I visited the safecar.gov website to find out how to replace my airbags, the website instructed me that, "recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available". It has been more than 6 months since I received the original notice, and I have been driving around with dangerous airbags that Toyota still can't repair?! *tr
cruise control 3 complaints shown
I purchased this car as a new vehicle. Ever since I have had it there has always been an acceleration issue to where it does not slow down for several seconds after releasing your foot from the gas. It accelerates often to where you have to apply the brakes firmly to where the anti lock then kicks in. During servicing it has been brought to the attention of the dealership but they have continued to say that there is not an issue. I have had other family members operate my vehicle to verify that this issue is in fact an issue and they experienced the same situation. This is very dangerous and will end up costing someone their life due to the manufacturers dragging their feet on addressing the issue. *tr
More noticeable at highway speeds. Take foot off accelerator pedal, car maintains constant speed as if cruise control in engaged (cruise control was not activated). Unable to coast to reduce speed. Have to firmly press brake pedal to disengage. Taken to dealer for service. Toyota servicing dealer advised me that the care was operating properly and that this was a designed safety feature. *tr
Approx. A week after this vehicle was purchased it was involved in a crash on 08/29/2011. This vehicle was crashed due to an higher than usual rev which delays the time for a vehicle to come to a stop. The rev on this vehicle does not decline sometimes when releasing the accelerator. The vehicle came with Toyota car so I have went to the Toyota dealership many times to have a multi point inspection and they said everything was perfectly fine. They were unable to "duplicate" the issue. Feeling like there is nothing I could do I gave up and just continued to drive it with extra caution and make payments on my lease till the term was over. About a year later at 11,000 on my recent service visit the Toyota mechanic told me I needed new brakes. He stated that this was unusual at this m

Transmission shift 1st to 2nd gear is hard, all other shifts are fine. Sometimes the transmission "chokes" and you get a hard bang in the drivetrain. Also, the driver's seat doesn't lock properly, sometimes I have to slam on the brakes really hard in order to get the seat front-to-rear adjuster to lock or "click" into place. The seat also squeaks while the car is in motion, and I weigh only 175 lbs. Car has about 3000 miles today, and the sales dealer will not schedule me for an appointment on my only day off from work (saturday) so I guess I will have to take a personal day off during the week because apparently an oil change is more important. *kb
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Toyota corolla. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle began to jerk back and forth while decelerating. The failure recurred constantly and was more noticeable when driving between 40-50 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.

engine 1 complaint shown
I recently purchased a 2011 Toyota corolla with 45k miles. For the past month when traveling between 40 and 70 MPH the car looses power. The tachometer will go down 200 to 300 rpms in a matter of a few seconds. It is like the engine is fluttering then after 10 to 30 seconds power returns and the rmps return to the previous setting. This loss of power makes the vehicle dangerous to drive. I started looking at complaints from other owners of the same vehicle-some found the problem to be in the accelerator pedal. I changed the pedal but it did nothing to fix the problem. After more research I discovered that there is a an official service bulletin regarding this problem. The cars computer has to be reprogrammed (flash). I called the Toyota website to ask about the proceedure and
