First sign was it kept saying low power mode activated. I took it in to dealership but they said everything was fine. A month later I was driving on the highway and everything electrical turned off (steering, ABS, battery, etc.) and the car started smoking heavily. My car stalled out in the middle of the highway and I had to push it to the side of the road. Very very scary to lose all control of your car all of a sudden when driving at high speeds. I pulled over and got car towed away only to find out that the alternator was messed up causing the battery and serpentine belt to go out as well. I asked if my 300 was covered part of the faulty alternators but apparently my VIN doesn't cover the recall so here I am hoping to cause awareness so I can get my $1500 bill covered especially sinc

While driving, the vehicle warning lights indicated systems starting to shut down---warning lights for ABS, traction control, battery low, check engine, etc. Then "brakes" red light started flashing, and car felt like brakes were on. Car systems lost all power and car stalled, and I could not even run the "blinker" warning lights or any lights at all. I was able to swing car to side of road just in time before it basically "locked up" dead and immovable. Had to have car towed 2 miles to home. I had previously called local dealer and Chrysler headquarters 4 different times to schedule the 17v-435 alternator recall service over a several month period starting march 2018. Was told twice I had been moved up the waiting list for parts and they would call to schedule appointment. As

Also, the radio turned off, the traction control and anti lock brake indicators illuminated, and the vehicle suddenly stalled. The battery was later replaced. When the vehicle was started, smoke appeared from the alternator. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer (pearl Chrysler in peotone, il). An investigator from the manufacturer was sent to examine the vehicle. It was determined that the alternator was severely damaged. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. I recently ran into some mechanical issues that have concerned me. I was driving my vehicle october 9th 2019 on the highway with an average speed of 70mph 'speed limit' and without any warning the vehicle cut off while still in motion. There were no warning lights or any indication that I was having any issues mechanically. I was able to pull over safely and the vehicle would not start. After 15-20 minutes on the side of the road and a few phone calls to a towing company I tried to start the vehicle and it started right up. I contacted the nearest dealer to me 'rocky mount Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, located at 1340 s wesleyan blvd, rocky mount, nc 27803 at phone number 252-977-1340'. I was told by the service manager my vehicle had already had the recall for the electrical system: alter

I had a recall performed at the dealer for the shifter recall in for which they performed a reprogram that would supposedly keep the car from rolling if the drivers door was opened and the transmission was not put in park. Well here's what happened. After the reprogram whenever the drivers door is opened while the car is running and in gear it jumps into park which is bad for the driveline. I guess that's how it was reconfigured. I was use to the old way because when I pull into my driveway I always open the door to see how close I am to the edge of the driveway. (I have to do this to leave enough room for my wife to get in and out of the garage on the other side of the car) having over 45 years of experience in the automotive field as a technician and technical trainer I can say this is

While driving my car during a stoplight it suddenly stalled and died. My gear was still in drive. I tried to restart my car but it wasnt able to start it jus kept making a clicking sound like it was trying to start but couldnt and last for 30 secs. I wasnt able to put the gear into neutral. So in was stalled ok the road. After trying to attempt to restart the engine light went on. I am very frustrated because I just got my car back from the dealership after them replacing my water pump and thermostat twice 1 year apart. Now it's back at the shop and I have to pay 140 to have them diagnose it after spending 1200. I checked my warranty and service contract and they all expired.
Lfirst I must say, I have begun to hate ever buying a Chrysler. I have had at least 3 recalls in the short lived of me purchasing this car. Now, I receive this "safety recall notice" on the alternator just before christmas. Initially, I thought no problem, I will be off work, I will go by the dealer and have this check/fixed, but as I continuing reading the notice that said you will notify me when these parts are available is unacceptable. I am planning to travel for the holidays, now I can't, I don't trust this car. I can only imagine at this point traveling amongst a convey of other cars and my car could just stop does not make for a happy christmas, this has ruined my christmas plans and my question to Chrysler since this is my only form of transportation. What am I suppose to do? The

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 3 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed and there was an eight second delayed response. The failure recurred ten times while driving at low speeds. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer twice and the brake pedal sensor was replaced. The dealer also inspected the brake pedal wiring in which there was no defect. The failure recurred after the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 10.
lighting 1 complaint shown
This vehicle has very poor lighting output from the headlights. The projector lamps are terrible. There are no high beams. There is some type of shutter that moves to redirect the light. The high beams are worse than the low beams. Worse headlights I have ever had on a car I owned. This car is dangerous to drive at night period then add some rain and a construction zone and it really gets even worse. I have almost been in many accidents because of these lights almost hitting a pedestrians and other vehicles. I avoid driving this car at night at all costs. I cannot afford another vehicle so I am stuck with this vehicle I guess. I wish I would have driven this car at night before I purchased it because there's not a chance in hell that I would have bought it

My car started smoking with black smoke. The car started overheating. We opened up the hood and the water pump looked like it exploded because the antifreeze was everywhere. I took my car in twice 1 year apart for the same problem and was replaced with aftermarket equipment from the dealership. I'm wondering if the use of aftermarket is breaking my car apart. Now I'm having a engine issue.
