2014 f250 diesel experiences multiple 'death wobbles' while driving on highway at speeds over 60mph and passing over expansion joint on bridge or other like crevices. Felt like the front end was falling apart with violent front end shaking, had to slow down to 35 MPH to regain control of the vehicle. Took truck to dealer and had to pay $150.00 for diagnosis. Ford claims all front end suspension parts need replacing as well as a front end alignment. The truck has just over 100k miles on it and is mostly highway miles. It's just out of an extended warranty and Ford estimates the repairs at over $1,300.00 with no guarantees that this will solve the problem. This is a design flaw by Ford. I've owned Ford trucks for many many years and have never experienced this in any of the past super duty's

Driving at 55 mph and hit small bump in the road and front end started shaking violently. Had to come to a complete stop to get it to quit
The truck developed a "death wobble" about a year ago. Over the past year the death wobble has happened almost every single time we have drove it. We have had multiple diesel mechanics look at it numerous times. We have replaced all the tie rod ends, drag link, steering stabilizer, track bar and track bar bushing. When the truck starts shaking, the driver has to immediately engage the breaks, running the risk of being rear ended and risking losing control of the truck. No warning lights have displayed throughout this time. The shaking has happened when driving between 35-55 mph, while the truck is alone and also once while pulling a horse trailer, loaded with horses- posing severe risk to the horses and passengers in the truck. The truck is available for inspection if need be.
Vehicle will have violent shaking at highway speeds know as a "death wobble". Death wobble happened at different speeds and on different road terrains. This issues also happened when at highway speeds and braking around curves.
vehicle shakes uncontrollable on the front passenger side when driving over 50 mph. took to the repair shop and was diagnosed with the death wobble. told it's unsafe to drive until repaired and repair will be over 1,600.00
Traveling down the highway at 55MPH, I hit a little bump or crack in the cement and the front end of my truck shacks so hard that my glasses fell from the ceiling storage. This happend 2 times on the same commute. Very scary and dangerous.
Driving at 70 miles per hour on a state hwy my front end started shaking violently. It almost caused me to crash ,I applied the brakes but made it worse.finally was able to regain control and stopped.
Vehicle wobbles violently on highway when it hits a bump. Had several near collisions. There were no warnings, happened suddenly.
On November 26, 2024 we experienced our third incident of the death wobble. During this third incident it threw the truck into oncoming traffic. After the second incident of the death wobble, we had the steering stabilizer fixed that was November 11, 2022. There was also damage to one tire due to truck leaving road. There was no warning lights or anything else prior to the uncontrollable shaking.
Driving at highway speed 65-70 MPH on ca-99 on 11-30-2019 between bakersfield and fresno I experienced several "death wobbles." this vehicle was repaired for this problem at future Ford in sacramento, ca. On 03oct19 by replacing steering damper and track bar. Also an alignment was done. Evidently the problem still persists on certain occasions.
When driving approximately 58mph on city roads or interstate a slight vibration starts and turns into an uncontrollable wobble in front tires and steering wheel. No way to power thru the vibration you have to come to almost a complete stop at times for wobble to stop.

My 2014 f250 has recently had the condition described by numerous others as the Ford death wobble. The truck has 35,000 miles and this dangerous condition just started. The first occurrence was on 12/9/20. Second on 12/11/20. Third and fourth occurrence on 12/13/20. The first two times the shaking was extreme, nearly jerked the steering wheel from my hands and could have easily caused an accident. The last two were less extreme but I still needed to slow way down to stop the shaking. All four times this occurred I was driving on straight, paved, roadway and hit a small bump in the road. The small bump set the shaking in motion. Approximate speeds were 60, 70, 65 and 65 MPH in order of occurrence. I was driving alone each time this happened so do not have any witnesses to this condition.
As I am traveling down the road, usually betwenn 50-70 MPH and I go over a bump in the road, the vehicle starts to shake violently to the point that it is almost uncontrolable. Steping on the brake slows the truck down but does not stop the shaking. It appears that the tires shake back and forth, and the entire truck, especially the front end, shakes back and forth very very violently. I have heard that this condition may be called the "death wobble"
Traveling about 67 mph. Hit a bump on the road. Truck started shaking violently.Lost control of truck and entered ditch. No other vehicles involved. Had to use 4 wd to get onto road. Has done this couple times before but not to this extreme danger.

Currently my f250 6.7l diesel engine has a CEL code of p20ba (reductant heater). During an extensive search on this part, it was discovered that the reductant heater was built by bosch and similar variants were installed in vw, gm, benz, and other diesel manufactures. Volks wagon has already increased the warranty of this part as it is prone to failure. Ford has yet to make a stb or a recall notice to service and repair this vital emissions component. While searching several 6.7l Ford truck forums, I learned that this is a reoccurring issue in many 6.7 trucks. It seems odd that a truck with 70k miles that is not used for commercially purposes, has failed within the first 3 years of the vehicles life. Nationally this repair, if done by a Ford dealer, is approximately $750. The cost of dele
The drivers door latch froze this evening. I need to slam the door 20-25 times before the latch would latch and stay closed. This is after Ford repaired the same door last year for the same problem.
