The instrument control screen is failing as the glass is separating from the glass and unable to view icons on the panel. Telsa is not going to replace unless 1500 is paid for replacement with updated screen that does not separate from the glass. Some people are reporting it as bubbling or impression of water marks behind the glass but it is the glue failing. This is a known issue. For the wheel issue, the TPMS system is failing and telsa will not replace unless 1k is paid to "upgrade" the system.

The contact owns a 2014 Tesla Model S. The contact noticed that there was acid leaking from the vehicle onto the contact’s foot causing the foot to burn. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the screen seal failed which cause the screen to leak and both screens needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.

Door handle extension. The car has experienced multiple door handle defects, wherein the handle will not extend to open the door. Without extension the door cannot be opened. This issue happened when the car was new and all four handles were replaced, and again at 62,000 miles, when the driver's door malfunctioned. This is a significant safety issue, as it is impossible to open the door to render assistance if the driver were trapped or incapacitated. Also, it makes it impossible to enter the car without crawling across the interior and opening from the inside.

I am the current owner of a 2014 Tesla Model S equipped with MCU1. While driving, including at freeway speeds, the center touchscreen has rebooted unexpectedly, showing only the Tesla logo before recovering. During these reboots, critical vehicle functions are unavailable, including the rearview camera, HVAC/defrost controls, and other essential features. This failure matches the exact safety defect described in NHTSA Recall 21V-035 related to the MCU/eMMC failure. I reported this safety issue to Tesla Service and provided photo evidence of the screen rebooting while driving. Tesla has refused to address this as a recall or safety repair. Tesla claims the recall was previously completed under a prior owner but refuses to provide any documentation proving that the recall repair was actual

After updating vehicle to software version 11.0 (2022.8.10.6 d2b84545e244) my center screen which controls the majority of my functionality and safety features including my backup camera AND my instrument cluster will intermittently go blank. This prevents me from being able to use my backup camera, see warnings about the car, as well as be able to tell how fast my car is going. In addition, my turn signals no longer have a consistent audible tone when engaged.

My [XXX] mother owns a 2014 Tesla Model S P85+ (VIN: [XXX] ) with only 50,367 miles. The vehicle suddenly became completely inoperable without warning. It would not turn on, would not charge, and the charge port would not open. The vehicle had to be towed. Tesla diagnosed failures of the high-voltage battery contactors, the onboard charger assembly, and HV circuit integrity. These are essential high-voltage components that should not fail at such low mileage. When these parts fail, the vehicle loses all ability to charge, loses all propulsion capability, and becomes a stranded hazard. This represents a safety concern because the vehicle can shut down without warning and cannot be moved, which could leave occupants stuck in unsafe conditions or traffic. The charge port failing to open is

While driving with my son on local roads, with no unusual bumps or potholes, I experienced an alarming loss of stability. I slowed my speed down and made it home. Once the car was in the driveway, I saw that the rear wheel was cantilevered about 15 degrees from vertical. Once I was able to hoist the car and look underneath, it became clear that the cause of the problem was a broken lower control arm (see photo). To be clear, there was no accident or incident which caused this and it could have resulted in a dangerous/fatal accident if I'd been driving on a highway or busy road. This appears to be a known issue covered by the service bulletin sb-19-31-001. I had the rear control arms replaced by a local Tesla service center at my expense. This issue is a real safety risk though and affected

When driving at low speed and turning the car over slightly uneven surfaces like a driveway or car parks the front suspension makes a clunking and clicking sound. Vibration and thuds can be felt through the steering wheel and footwells of the car. I brought to Tesla and they said this is wear and tear and charged me $2,700 to fix even though my car is under warranty. Many similar issues have been recorded of other teslas with worse cases of parts breaking during slow or highway speeds. Tesla service center stated that if I do not want to pay for the repair the car is still safe to drive! Even though there are cases of parts breaking while the car is moving. Very negligent of Tesla staff to state this. Car details model s85 61,000ks (38,000miles) year 2014 see attached

Here is a model s in the salvage yard. Somebody ran into the back of it. Most likely because the front wheel and suspension fell off causing it to slow down unexpectedly. Https://www.copart.com/lot/58905699/photos even the headlights are intact. The air-bags have not deployed. So why did the suspension fall to bits? I think we know the answer to that. The suspension parts are as fragile as a sparrows leg. Teslas are stuck in ludicrous/insane mode. Please investigate. Thank you. Keef

Rear lower control arm broke, causing extreme twitch and near loss of vehicle control about 1/4 mile before getting on highway. There was a loud ping in a parking garage the day before while turning, but nothing seemed to be wrong with the car at that time and I assumed there must have been a water bottle cap or something that went under the tire (can't see ground well in a tight parking garage, which had some litter here and there). Drove about 30 miles home without incident. I suspect that the control arm was only fractured at that point, but retained enough metal to hold the wheel in place (terrifying to think we were driving at highway speeds like that). The following morning, reversed out of garage and was approaching highway at neighborhood speeds when car veered very suddenly. Imme

This is similar to the many other cases where the suspension has failed and caused a crash. It is almost impossible that the wheel and tire would have rotated enough times after a crash to have caused such damage. The suspension components are much too fragile for a car of this weight and power. Please investigate. Note that date of crash and milage are only approximations. Biohazard sticker suggests that persons were injured. Further information should be available from crash reports.

Hazardous feature -- do not use -- notify Tesla immediately -- incident 1) I tested the recently downloaded "autopilot" feature on a freeway with solid lines at both edges and a dashed line between the two lanes. Speed was 70mph, wind light, visibility good in daylight, traveling in the right lane. When the vehicle encountered an off-ramp (on the right) where the right edge white line followed the ramp's right edge, all hell broke loose. The car tried to follow the line for the ramp. I braked and steered left, winding up in the triangular no-mans-land defined by the right lane of the freeway, the ramp, and the various barriers and landscaping at the top of the triangle. I accelerated out of the triangle, wondering why this feature was released by Tesla. Incident 2) a few mile

Both the main lcd computer screen and the speed display have leaked the liquid crystal fluid out from the displays due to high cabin heat even with the cabin heat protection feature enabled. This has been brought to teslas attention and they are requesting I pay $1750 to upgrade the entertainment system which replaces both screens but I have not asked for an upgraded entertainment system. I am asking that the flat lcd panels do not leak from heat in the first place !

Tesla has, by design, altered a safety feature in existing cars (via a software update) that decreases safety when defogging is needed. When I purchased my 2014 Tesla Model S, the defog could be turned on or off with the press of a button that was always visible on the touchscreen. Recently, Tesla made a major change to the user interface (version 11), that cannot be reverted, which removed the defog button. It now takes about 4-7 steps to activate and then turn off the defog. The new system also requires viewing pop-up window(s) while driving. Now, when you notice visibility is decreasing due to a fogged up windshield, you have to press the temperature (e.g. "70") twice, which brings up the full climate control window (if you press slightly high/low, a "Climate Popup" instead appears,
