On city street and highway, especially after full stop. The car would not accelerate. Whining on left front. Rolled backward on slight hill. Had towed to mechanic. Attached is list of issues, mainly powertrain and transmission. Mechanic said there was a recall for this issue (campaign # 16v461000). Dodge dealer claimed no recall on my specific VIN, but for vehicles made at a similar time. Only 69000 miles on vehicle.
Drove down the highway, took an exit, came to a red-light, turns green, press the gas car won't move for about 2-4 seconds then jumps into gear and stays stuck in first...look up the problem see there was a recall for the Transmission on the year and model but only some of them.

The driver's headrest deployed without collision. The incident occurred at an auto service center and I noticed when the vehicle was returned to me. The mechanic inspected the headrest and stated a part in the headrest broke causing it to deploy. He advised to call the dealer for repair. The incident has been reported to the dealer and I am waiting for a return call. There were no warnings for seat malfunction or symptoms prior to deployment. Headrest is available for inspection. This defect puts the driver at risk for concussion, head and neck injuries that could affect the ability to control the vehicle.
When stepping on the brake. It grinds and goes forward. The lights on the dashboaed comes on and off . On more than off
Noticed oil where I normally park my vehicle. Took the van into a mechanic so he could look at it. He stated that the oil leak came from a broken/ cracked oil filter housing. Which he also stated it was an issue among multiple Grand Caravans that have been brought in. It did not give me a warning and the mechanic said if it would have fully broken I could have lost all oil and my engine could have seized up. Which poses a concern considering it is my daily driver and it did not warn me about low oil. I’ve also taken it to the same repair shop for issues with the fuel injectors and coils. Which could be an issue because that caused stalling while I was driving on the highway.
The front passenger headrest deployed for no reason. We had just parked the van and my 13 year old daughter was behind the passenger seat when the headrest deployed and something hit her in the face. We were in no accident nor rear-ended.

Cracking front windshield (temporarily fixed by clear tape), broken window regulator motors on both passenger and driver sides stop lifting the glasses up and down, passenger side plastic window part (vertically snapped on the upper part of passenger door) fell off, engine light sometimes on and off with unknown detected problems.
Went to roll down the window on the drivers side panel and it started to smoke and short circuit. We removed the panel because we believed of could have caught fire. Problem has not been replicated due to dealership service department being closed. There were no warning lamps or messages and had occured randomly when using the panel.
The driver side passenger sliding door lock actuator is frozen, keeping the door perpetually locked. The passenger sliding door actuator will not lock at all, so the passenger sliding door is perpetually unlocked. I've been told by an auto mechanic that the passenger side sliding door is in danger of permanently locking as well. If that's the case, passengers will have to enter by the front doors (or the back hatch, which is too inconvenient). In the case of an accident, I'm concerned that exiting the vehicle will be dangerous for backseat passengers. I understand that there's an extended warranty for the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan lock actuators, but the extended warranty only includes those manufactured after May 1, 2015. My 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan was manufactured February 2015. My fami

Etm was stuck merging onto a highway while accelerating. Vehicle accelerated itself. Had to pull over and turn the car off to get it to reset. Vehicle would would redline RPM's while braking. Happened approx. November 2015. Hasn't happened again. Then a couple months later the clockspring behind the steering wheel went out rendering the horn and all steering controls (volume, cruise control, etc.) useless. It also caused the driver side airbag light to remain constantly on.

Premature failure of valve lifters and damage to exhaust and intake camshafts. Engine had 59074 miles on it and used appropriate Valvoline synthetic blend oil since approx 15,000 miles. Valve train started ticking and got progressively louder in less than a two week period. Engine oil system was flushed and reserviced with appropriate Valvoline synthetic blend oil once again. Valve ticking got progressively louder and the vehicle went in for repairs. Valve Lifters had premature bearing failure on multiple Lifters causing excessive wear on both the Exhaust and Intake Camshafts as well as the Valve Lash Adjusters. The vehicle was outside of the warranty window. Cost for repairs was $2,272.34. I was informed by the garage who did the repairs that this is a ongoing problem with the Pen

The driver's side headrest deployed unexpectedly. My vehicle was parked in my garage. The car was stationary, not running and had not been in any kind of collision. When I inspected the inside of the headrest, the plastic brackets that hold the metal pin were compromised. The metal pin is still in place, but the plastic prongs that were supposed to hold onto the pin to keep the headrest in place both failed. One cracked and is partially attached. The other prong came off completely. I believe the plastic broke from being under prolonged tension. Why would something that is designed to be a safety feature be made out of something as flimsy as plastic? I'm so thankful that I wasn't driving when this incident occurred because it could have caused serious injuries. There are many other reports
