The car was driving fine until I heard a grinding sound and pulled over to the side of the road. I turned the car off and on again, put it in drive, and pressed the gas pedal but instead of driving the car started to roll backwards down the hill I was stopped on. No check engine or other warning lights came on. I had the car towed to a mechanic who said the transmission was broken and needed to be replaced. The car is outside of the manufacturer's power train warranty but is only 7 years old with 95,000 miles. I was lucky to be driving on a residential road with no other cars around when the transmission failed instead of potentially driving on a busy highway. After having the car repaired I learned that this car once had a recall regarding broken drive pulley shafts. There are 0 open re

Pressure caused transmission plug to pop out unknowingly. Vehicle now jerks at low speeds or when accelerating from a full stop position. Likely that missing plug is allowing dirt and debris into transmission fluid. Transmission likely negatively impacted. This vehicle has less than 75,000 miles. Seems this vehicle should have been included with the NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 15V574000
Transmission problem I think is cvt that a lot of people had the same issue
Purchased 2015 Honda civic (special edition) in nov, 2015. When driving the vehicle at any speed (highway or streets), when I take off my foot from the accelerator, the car "kicks" a bit, like there's something going on with the transmission. It does it more often when driving the streets. Then when accelerating, it does not feel that it's changing gears properly. It "kicked" once on the highway and was pretty loud. I'm not a mechanic so it's hard for me to describe what is happening. I thought the car was just "breaking itself in" so I was not concerned. But my boyfriend says it sounds like something with the power train/drive shaft. I looked up any recent recalls on 2015 civics and there is one for the power train. I contacted the dealer but was advised my car is not affected in
Transmission failure, similar to NHTSA Recall No. :15V-574, resulting in inoperable vehicle. Transmission serviced following maintenance schedule, with no signs of issues before incident.
Catastrophic failure of the CVT transmission.
While driving the check transmission light came on and vehicle would not accelerate above 20 mph. Vehicle made loud whining noise when pushing the gas pedal. Mechanic found that there was transmission fluid leaking heavily around the transmission fluid pressure switch. It is currently sill in the shop waiting for the replacement switch. Waiting to se if there are any other issues. I have seen many complaints on forums concerning the transmissions in these cars. Where is the recall?
While driving I felt a vibration. About 15 miles later the rpms were high and I was unable to accelerate. The car stopped completely on a major road going up hill. There was no check engine light, no warning of any sort. The dealership service center claims it is the transmission and keep insisting that it was a faulty switch, although it has never been replaced. The transmission is completely burnt and the car's diagnostic system still does not register that there is a problem. Their estimate claims: "replace transmission (DTC p0741 torque converter clutch stuck off, during inspection found transmission pressure valve loose on transmission allowing fluid to spill out, causing transmission to burn internally, DTC p0741 torque converter clutch stuck off, during inspection fou
No warning lights or symptoms prior to issue. Driving on the highway and vehicle suddenly started revving like it was in neutral, failing to accelerate, then died on the side of the highway.
The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, felt a vibration and noise at low speed and would go away as soon as the vehicle got up to speed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had driven the vehicle to an independent mechanic who referred the contact to a transmission shop. The vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer for diagnoses. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V574000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
My vehicle was showing no obvious signs of issues when purchased at about 28,000 miles 11/1/18 upon my first oil change at 39,000 miles it was noted that though transmission fluid was at safe levels there appeared to be a leak as condensation was noticed by the third party oil service technician. I was told to keep an eye out for any issues. I drove my vehicle with no obvious issues of driveway leaks or service lights on the vehicle indicating a transmission issue it also seemed to drive normally. At 43,900miles while driving the vehicle the service light came on indicating a transmission problem the drive light was blinking and my car was making a noise I never heard before. I was not able to make it to my destination as my car just stoped accelerating as I was trying to pull over on
My 2015 Honda Civic LX (automatic) began feeling like it was dragging/hesitating under 40m/h while decelerating. This would also happen while decelerating and then (without braking) accelerating (stop and go traffic or at signal). One time my car started shaking (think going on your brake and gas and brake and gas) that motion but way faster. it seems the fill cap/dipstick keeps popping out every 1000 miles and i have to manually put it back in.

The diagnostic showed that the vehicle had a faulty front driver’s side air bag inflator. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but the contact was informed that the vehicle warranty had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 45,452.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Honda civic. The contact stated that while parking, the air bags inadvertently deployed causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. A police report was filed. It was unknown if there were any injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Airbag light intermitantly comes on for past two years. Issue started at 50,000 miles. Dealer said it is a clock spring or airbag issue with a $1400 repair cost.
At around 130k miles, air bag light comes on. Goes on and off sporadically. Been doing this over 2 months. Happens anytime from when starting the car, to driving, stationary, turning, anywhere.

Brake problem. Safety concern. Had to panic brake hard and fast to avoid an accident while going straight at street speed of less than 25 MPH. New noise immediately after event: 'metallic cluck' sound upon brake pedal return coming from firewall where vacuum booster and master cylinder are located. Also now experiencing intermittent 'high hard brake pedal' (vacuum assist problem?) several times while driving and while parked. Towed to dealer. Brake problems should not result when they are used as intended. Safety concern. *tr
