Death wobble. Second complaint. Truck worked on 2 months a ago ($600). Wobble returned with a vengeance. Maybe 2,000 additional miles on truck. 82,000 miles currently. On freeway, speed 55-65 MPH. Hit a crack in the road ( not a pothole or anything significant ). Steering wheel shook back and forth 3-4 inches. Noisy, hood shaking strongly. Aggressive braking to below around 40 MPH to stop the death wobble. Happened 3 times within 3 miles. Drove home at 35 MPH. I wasn't too popular with the rest of the freeway traffic. I believe i25 surface in that area is concrete with the occasional crack in the surface. Scary as can be.
Have been experiencing Wobble of death multiple times driving on the highway. Very scary. Having to stop or slow down quickly in heavy traffic. The Last time was 3 times in 15 minutes on 12/26/21. This happened on IH 10 leaving Beaumont. No warning signs or messages. Just started shaking violently.
At highway speed on Interstate-95, I hit a rough patch of asphalt paving and front end of vehicle began to shake uncontrollably. Vehicle continued to shake violently until speed was significantly reduced below the flow of traffic thus creating an extremely dangerous situation. All 4 shocks and steering stabilizer were replace with upgraded Bilstein brand products bya Ford master mechanic within the last 6 months.
Both Control Arm bushings and Steering Stabilizer have both failed causing a severe Death Wobble at highway speeds. This condition has nearly caused an accident on 4 separate occasions.
Violently shaking can not control truck, I’ve looked this up and it is known as the death wobble. It looks like they have recalled /027 but not 2016 models what can be done about this. It has happened about 6 times in 3 days
There was a violent shaking from the front end od my Ford F250 Super Duty trucks happening on the freeway while driving over 50 miles and hour. This has happended 3 times in the last 6 months. It is very dangerous and causes other vehicles around to try and get out of the way. It only stops after reducing to a dangerously low speed on the freeway. It is very scary and life threatening in my opinion. Please recall and correct!
I have experienced what is known as the “DEATH WOBBLE” with my 2016 Ford F-250 super-duty pickup. I have taken it back the dealer after the first incident to have it repaired ($291.00) worth and it done it twice since then, less than 3 weeks after repairs. I’m out of town now so I hope I can get it home for it to go back to the dealer for more repairs. I don’t agree with Ford motor co. Decision not to recall all the trucks with this issue. I will not buy another Ford truck unless I know for sure this is resolved.
On multiple occasions over the past few months the front end of my truck has begun to shake violently. The steering wheel shakes badly and the only way to regain control is to brake quickly. In each instance the vehicle was traveling between 65 and 75 MPH and the shaking seems to be instigated by hitting a an uneven section of the road'I specifically recall a bridge expansion joint and a pothole that set off the shaking. All incidents occurred on freeway straightaways. I tow a travel trailer and this shaking has occurred both when towing and not towing. In reading a blog frequented by travel trailer owners, this problem with the f250 has become known as the 'death wobble' and seems to be experienced by many. I have been fortunate enough to have not been in an accident because of this

My 2016 F-250 continues to experience the Ford Truck "death wobble." It sometimes happens after I have travelled on an interstate entrance and am increasing speed up to normal highway speed (or similar situation). The front end begins to terribly "shake" and I can only stop it by drastically braking to a much slower speed or even coming to a stop. Usually, there is no obvious reason for this wobble to occur although a rough interstate entrance rough surface may increase the probability of it occurring. I have been able to handle it thus far, but I do worry about being in a traffic lane and having limited options to resolve the issue quickly.
Death wobble occurs so violently when you hit a bump in the road that it is hard to maintain control. You have to come to a complete stop for it to quit. Items have been replaced from the Ford service bulletion
The truck shakes violently after hitting a bump in the road. I have had new Michelin tires installed (by Discount Tires) and balanced twice, and the front end and alignment checked (by Leonard's Truck & Frame Service), both located in Lake City, FL. I think the problem is what is commonly referred to as F250 "Death Wobble".
While driving on the 215 (Southern California) freeway at approximately 70 miles per hour and without warning I experienced a sever wobble in the front end of the truck. it was so bad I had to pull over on the shoulder of the freeway. I was lucky traffic was light and could do this safely. I took the truck to a mechanic that specializes in ford trucks, and he recommended several components be replaced. He stated this is a common problem with Ford F250 and F350 trucks. He mentioned that this was known as the "Death Wobble." The truck has approximately 60 thousand miles on it.
The truck began to suddenly shake fiercely while driving in the highway. The steering became difficult to control for about 2 or more minutes. We looked this up and it is termed the Death Wobble. Our F250 truck is a 2016. This is dangerous and needs to be Recalled for this year of F250 - 2016

Death wobble. Uncontrollable shaking in steering to the point of loss of control. Occurs after a bumpy road or at speeds in excess of 45mph. This occurred on a packed interstate and by the grace of God we didn't wreck or be rear-ended by a semi.
Dpf heater (reductant heater) stopped working. Vehicle is slightly over 5 years old with 87k miles. NHTSA has a TSB (TSB 18-2190) on this part on 2011-2012 f-250/f-350 and 2011-2015 f-450 and f-550. The problem seems to still persist on the 2016 model…

The reductant heater and sender assembly failed causing the malfunction indicator to light. This is the same problem addressed for the 2011-2015 model year per customer satisfaction program 18m01. The fault was confirmed by rivertown Ford in columbus ga via diagnostic tool. Clearly the issue per customer satisfaction program 18m01 remains and is affecting 2016 model year.
