The contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. While the contact's husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. Additionally, the RPM increased, and the drive signal flashed on and off. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission control module (TCM) failure. The contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact requested a second opinion from another independent mechanic, and it was confirmed as a transmission control module (TCM) failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made

There is a shuttering in the transmission as the vehicle attempts to climb slight/steep grades at slow to medium speeds. Around 1500 RPM the vibration is sent throughout the whole vehicle. Having to increase acceleration to allow the truck to shift properly to overcome the lack of power has created a dangerous situation while navigating up snowy/ice hills. The vehicle also performs a lurching or sudden speeding up when downshifting when slowing to come to a stop. Depending on road conditions this creates a dangerous situation when approaching icy/slippery intersections.
While operating vehicle on highway, I experience a shake/shudder when at speeds of 50 MPH and higher. Vehicle was taken to dealer stated that the torque converter did shudder. Dealer changed transmission fluid and I was advised to drive for 200 miles to see if problem was corrected. Shudder still remains and now the vibration is constant at 70 MPH. I called dealer again who said that it was probably a tire balance issue. I argued with them and stated I had no such issue before first bringing vehicle in. Dealer is setting up appointment for me to take in again. Vibrations have literally caused my 6 yr old daughter to vomit on 3 different occasions when in the vehicle. She has only been in vehicle 5 or 6 times. Vehicle feels unsafe at highway speeds. I have read many forums online s
Shifting 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 1st is very hard and jolting. It hesitates and doesn't go immediately which could cause an accident.
The contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate and jerk upon acceleration without warning. The contact also stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and was informed that there was a service bulletin that was linked to the failure. Moisture could enter the vehicle through the headlights and cause the electrical and transmission failures the contact was experiencing. The contact was given an estimate for the repair. The contact then called Tameron Buick GMC (27161 US-98, Daphne, AL 36526) and it was stated that they were unaware of such a failure. The manufacturer had yet

The transmission needed to be replaced car would not go in reverse or foreward at all . It only has 120,000 miles on it .
The vehicle does a hard shift from 1 to 2 second and has a shudder.
My 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali started shaking violently and the rpm gage began bouncing 1/4 to 1/2 inch in a very short amount of time. I ran a maintenance facility in Europe with 317 local national and 25 U.S. employees. Two of my brother-in-laws, and one of my nephews are mechanics. Two run their own auto repair facilities. All three reported having to replace torque converters on multiple gmc/chevrolet 1500 trucks. Many at somewhere between 40 and 60 thousand miles. If this is such a systematic problem, and from the number of vehicles they have had to repair it is, why hasn't a recall been issued. Second, in most cases dealerships first charge excessively for replacing the transmission fluid (approximately $900) and then end up replacing the torque converter. The owner has to p
While watching the economy mileage window I noticed in the lower right side showing v6 and v4 switching back and forth. As they were switching, I noticed the engine vibrating while showing the v4 in the window. It did not vibrate while showing the v6 in the window. It did this while I was driving 65 MPH(on cruise) on the expressway. I did not notice it during driving in start-stop slower traffic.this has been happening before, but did not figure out the problem until now.
I have had several instances where you push the accelerator and you start to go and then it just stops moving like the transmission has disengaged. Started to turn into oncoming traffic this morning and had to stop as as it did this and I was going to get hit!!! It does it a lot, first time I would have been hit!!! Gm says they know it's a problem, at shop now again for it! Going to get someone killed!!!!
I had the rotors replaced on my new truck at 6000 miles and paid for repairs out of pocket. I continued to hear brake noise. On my way to the dealership on the weekend I was scheduled to have the brake noise investigated and to have an oil change done, I had catastrophic brake failure. A vehicle in front of me made a lane change into my lane and then slammed on the brakes in front of my vehicle at a green light coming to a complete stop from 40 MPH to 0 in the middle of the intersection. A car had pulled out in front of him changing lanes from the left lane to right. I mashed the brake pedal to stop immediately and my brakes went soft and to the floor on the second push. When I wasn't stopping. I slammed my emergency brake with my left foot and injured a few toes on my left foot trying to

Started car via remote start. When I went out to the car I noticed smoke in the cab. I then observed the rear power slide window to be smoking and further discovered the rear defroster wires the be smoldering creating considerable smoke. The tempered glass then began to spider and completely cracked. There is a former recall on the rear slide window involving fire hazards and the wiring components. It should also be noted that our 9 month old’s car seat is directly below the window and defroster wiring were the smoldering took place. No warnings lamps were observed prior to the incident.
My rear defrosters shorted out causing a small fire and causing the window to explode. The recall for this issue has already been performed on this vehicle...

Panel message with beep Saying: SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM
First and most importantly my brakes are my main issue and safety problem. I nearly ran into the car in front of me at a busy intersection. My trucks brakes lose pressure after the first initial stop coming to any traffic lights, stop sign, slow traffic, parking lots etc... No matter how slow or fast the trucks movement is. First break attempt is ok but 2nd starts losing pressure and 3rd attempt is complete lost of pressure anf and the truck just rolls until it slowly comes to a stop. I worry about the safety of myself and others motorist regarding this issue. My second complaint is my driver side mirror. Every time I get into my truck and start it. My driver side mirror moves out of its setting and I constantly have to fix it.

I was hit broad side, by driver running red light. He was doing over 50 MPH I was hit left side forward of left door. My steering wheel airbag did not deploy fully. The crash caused only the steering wheel bag to deploy but it only came out maybe half way, it smoldered so bad I panicked seeing all the smoke and had to crawl out of my truck after kicking open the passenger door because the nose of the truck is racked to the right the passenger door would not open. Other car had full airbag deployed, all curtains and steering wheel
lighting 1 complaint shown
The headlights on my new GMC sierra 2500hd denali are horrible and unsafe for driving at night. The 25 watt rating and 2,000 lumens on the OEM HID bulbs do not provide adequate, safe lighting for operating my vehicle. I already hit a deer with my brand new truck because I couldn't see it well enough in advance of the collision. GMC should be held accountable for putting such a low power, poor quality and unsafe headlight in their $70,000 vehicles. I'm renting a Hyundai while my truck is being repaired and the headlights on this $30,000 foreign car are 10xs better than the ones on my truck. Why?

This complaint is about General Motors not allowing their Dealer Marty's Chevrolet of Bourne Ma. to recalibrate the odometer and speedometer and other parameters in the computer to match new 18"wheels and tires. The truck was built and set up for 20" wheels from the Factory. The previous owner installed 22" wheels immediately after leasing the vehicle. They never adjusted the computer for this change and as a result the odometer reading read 28700 when I purchased it in August 2023. As a result the engine hours do not correlate to the low miles and the speedometer reading is incorrect. This truck has about 75 to 80 thousand actual miles. When Marty's installed the new wheels that I bought, GM refused to authorize the computer adjustments for the new wheels. GM previously required this adju
