My "infotainment" system was experiencing ghost touching. In other words, the touch screen in the car that controls everything from radio to bluetooth to settings for safety features such as braking assist and automatic sensor wipers would completely go crazy and select/unselect features in the touchscreen. Sometimes it was one touch at a time (ie, change the radio station). Over time, and the more humid it was outside, I would have drives where every time the car was under 10mph, the touchscreen would go berserk. The car does have a feature where you cannot change settings when the car is going faster than 10mph, so thankfully this could not happen continuously. I had many instances where I would be braking to stop at a red light and the volume of the radio would go up so high that you w

Ghost touch: my vehicle has the same "ghost touch" problem described in NHTSA id number 11375393. Functions on the touch screen randomly activate themselves. This occurs both while driving and while stopped. It is difficult to cancel these random actions, and it is distracting to deal with this problem while driving. I first noticed it around 32k miles, which is about 15k miles ago, and it occurs a few times a week.
Ghost touch- radio/audio center randomly switches modes, stations, functions and will access phone contacts via bluetooth and make random voice calls . Once connected, it is very difficult to disconnect. Often times the call will be repeated several times. This occurs both while sitting still or when driving. It is very distracting to try to disconnect random voice calls while driving. The steering wheel buttons are not effective in trying to disconnect. You must cancel the call on the actual phone in violation of hands-free laws in the state of georgia.
The infotainment system will have repeated ghost touches rendering the screen virtually useless. This is a known issue that mazda is not repairing and they are making the car owner responsible on paying for the fix of their broken product.
Please see https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10166895-0001.pdf PARTS AND WARRANTY INFORMATION SSPB6 I, and many other Mazda6 owners, have this exact problem which prevents cell phones from being able to connect to the car's Bluetooth. As a result, drivers can not follow the law, i.e. All Maryland drivers are prohibited from using a Cell Phone without a Hands Free Device while operating a motor vehicle. This impacts my safety and the safety of others. On 8/12/21 Mazda referred to this as GHOST TOUCH and quoted $1,250 to fix it. I believe Mazda should cover this repair as they did with the Mazda3's. Can you please help me?
The infotainment system is experiencing problems of operating by itself (ghost touch) similar to the hazard experienced on certain 2014-2016 Mazda 3s.
I’ve had my 2017 Mazda6 for 2 years and first had an issue when the vehicle could not detect the key fob was near. A Mazda dealership at that time could not resolve the issue. Now at times the vehicle won’t start unless i physically hover the key fob over the push to start button. I continued with the purchase and now 2 years in I’ve had so many issues with the infotainment screen acting insane, known as “ghost touching”. When coming to a stop the screen will start clicking around to different screen settings on the monitor. It’s incredibly frustrating and unsafe trying to resolve this issue in the middle of Dallas traffic. Earlier this year I had to make 6 hour trip up north and cruise control caused an issue the entire ride there. When cruise control was turned on the vehicle would sta

Display screen has developed the common “spider web cracking” with my 2017 Mazda 6. There has been no accident on my vehicle and it is causing issues with being able to clearly see what is showing. My driver seat “heated seat” has melted the lower back leather material. The heating element doesn’t heat the bottom of the seat and just the lower back part. It has caused the leather to melt
Mazda 6's from 2017 have a known, reported defect that causes the touch screen to "ghost touch" and randomly enter into the car's menus and change settings, dial phone numbers, delete entries, etc. There is a service bulletin issued to replace the touchscreen cover/lens but Mazda does not honor this repair for cars out of warranty and want to charge customers for this repair. This is a potential liability since the car can change safety settings that a driver is accustomed and relies on without their knowledge possibly resulting in serious injury or death.
The vehicles infotainment system has what is called ghost touches. Which is very distracting while driving the vehicle. This is a common issue Mazda does not seem to have a recall for. The infotainment system behave erratically, and won't allow the user to change settings in the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2017 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated while reversing, the back over prevention screen display was disoriented and had changed the settings. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed a factory reset; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.
Passenger door not closing completely , upon inspection I noticed a latch on the door is simply not locking into place all of a sudden. There was no warning prior the problem occurred all of a sudden not sure how or why.
From the information I have gathered, this is a common issue affecting many Mazdas ranging from 2014 to 2018. The issue is what the Mazda Community calls "Ghost touch" Our infotainment screens will start clicking buttons on its own including increasing the volume or switching screens. Additionally songs will switched. Why is this a safety hazard? This causes a distraction that can occur at any moment. For instance, if you are driving down the highway and all of a sudden your volume goes up to an unpleasant volume, your natural reaction is to turn down the volume, causing a distraction. Same can be said about song switching or screen repeatedly changing.
Back-up camera froze providing a false picture on cabin screen, which caused a collision. Car was in reverse backing up. Cabin picture showed object outside of warning range. See attached picture. If a child was behind the car they would have been hit.

System failure: front and rear hydraulic brakes. Yes, the safety of the driver and passenger were put at risk. No, the problem was not confirmed by the dealer or service center. Why not? See below: a) As the brake components (brake pads) were assumed to be wear items and not covered under warranty, the brake components were replaced (brake rotors and pads) and the calipers were rebuilt. c) The brake service work was performed by the owner of the vehicle (complaint writer). There were no lamps/icons nor messages displayed to alert the vehicle owner of the malfunction. On June 05, 2021 while driving in the Traverse City MI area descending steep hills, it was noticed that the brake pedal required above normal force to slow the vehicle. In July 2021 with approximately 21000 miles, I dis
On a clear lane with the forward car 5 car lengths away with traffic flowing, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) activated slowing my car down from 65mph to 30mph. I deactivated AEB on my exit and changed the AEB distance from “normal” to “near”.

I purchased a 2017 Mazda 6 grand touring in july 2017, new from classic Mazda in mentor, ohio. The dunlop tires that came on my care are complete garbage and unsuitable to drive on in the rain. They begin to hydroplane with even the slightest amount of water on the road, and are down right dangerous in any weather more severe than light rain. There have been dozens of instances of white-knuckle driving 10-15mph slower than the rest of traffic because the car becomes underivable in the rain. I have never driven a vehicle or tires that performed this poorly nor had such a stark transition from feeling planted and confidence inspiring in the dry to sliding off the road when it rains. These tires are going to get me injured or killed! As bad as they are brand new on a brand new car, I shudder

The contact owns a 2017 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated while driving at slower speeds and depressing the accelerator pedal, there was a delay before the vehicle responded. Additionally, the contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the contact became aware of a fuel leak on the driveway. engine 1 complaint shown
I have a 2017 Mazda 6 that has an extremely loud engine. I have taken it in and I’m told the car is fine but I can feel the engine knocking through the pedal as I drive. The sound has gotten louder over time and it’s not getting any better. I’ve had some belts change and keep up my regular maintenance and Mazda can’t seem to figure out what the issue is. I have friends with the same model and their engine sounds normal.
