Main infotainment display delamination, this causes a safety concerns, as the screen can become irresponsive, and even black out during reverse making the backup camera, nonfunctioning. The other safety issue at risk is that because of the delamination it causes "ghost-clicking" on the screen, and makes the screen irresponsive, veering the drivers attention away from the road, potentially causing accidents as the main display controls all radio and bluetooth, and navigation. There are no indication or warnings from the manufacturer that the vehicle could be a risk to drive. When I called Subaru of America, I was told by the agent that they could not assist, when I brought up, based on my research this was a known issue, Subaru of America offered to pay $600 towards the replacement of the

The windshield had a crack on the left bottom corner of the driver's side but no explained reason. There was no audible sound that LED to the crack. I had to pay $500 to get the windshield replaced and the eyesight calibrated. Noticed the cracked windshield when the vehicle was parked at home.
I am reporting a safety issue with my 2019 Subaru Legacy that hesitates and nearly stalls when accelerating from a stop and is now undriveable due to stalling and shaking. I bought the car new from AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad in 2019. It has about 65,000 miles and I have driven it less than 2,000 miles since its last dealer visit in August 2025. Since around August 2025, the car has intermittently lost power under light acceleration from a stop or low speed, especially while pulling into or through intersections. Pressing the accelerator sometimes produces very little power, the engine feels like it may stall, and traffic behind me must brake or go around me, creating a risk of a rear‑end collision in intersections. In August 2025 I took the car to AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad and reported
Parasitic battery drain from the DCM that is known by Subaru but proper long term repair is not offered easily. Please force them to do the right thing!! This should be a covered fix offered to every affected vehicle.
On the beginning of a trip the screen, Infotainment system started jumping, and shaking. We had been using the system for guidance while driving in unfamiliar area. The screen then started randomly selecting buttons while we were still trying to use directions from the screen. Then it called a contact on my contact list 8-9 times, and I had to keep hanging up in order so it would stop. Finally I had to shut down the entire screen. We lost control of the Infotainment and then after I had to turn it off, I tried several times again to turn it back on with no luck. The screen would not respond and continues to be completely frozen. As I have discovered this is a common problem that Subaru dealers have heard about from thousands of customers. Subaru needs to issue a recall.
I took my Subaru legacy to the little rock arkansas Subaru dealership to service a recall on my fuel tank. While there the service manager refused to replace parts listed on the tsb. When I contacted Subaru they stated a new tsb was issued the day before my recall was completed not requiring those steps, that the updated tsb would not be public, would not provide any information about the new tsb and that they were closing my complaint.
The radio/ starlink system begins changing screens on its own thus losing all control of critical functions such as phone and gps. There appears to be marks behind the glass of the screen which are not able to be cleaned. There are recalls for this issue on the 2018 Subaru Legacy and there needs to be one for the 2019 Subaru Legacy and other affected Subaru models.

The windshield on our 2019 Subaru legacy cracked on saturday 12/21/2019. There wasn't any crack in the morning when I drove to the office. The car was parked at a covered parking spot the whole day. In the evening, I noticed a crack on the driver's side while I was driving back. There was no impact on the windshield with pebble etc while driving during the day. When I researched online, I found out that many people are noticing their 2017-2019 Subaru car windshields are cracking like mine. So I am bringing this to your attention. I have to pay $500 deductible to my insurance this week and get it replaced.
I had the car less than a month and got home from work, parked the car in the garage and everything was fine, the very next morning when I went out to get in my car the windshield had a huge crack in it. I got the windshield replaced and in less than a month the windshield cracked again.
The windshield on this vehicle cracks easily and with minimal damage. I have had to replace two windshields in the last year due to poor glass quality.
The vehicle is less than one month old and it was found one morning with an 8 inch crack in the windshield. There was no impact made on the windshield. The crack is coming from the bottom left corner and goes towards the center.
A small crack (roughly 2 inches in length) appeared on my windshield on the bottom passenger side, while I was driving to work. I noticed it while parked at a red light, but it was not there when I had started driving. At first I thought it was something on my windshield because I hadn't been hit by anything, it just appeared. The crack spread considerably further before I arrived at work and I had to replace it the next day.
My car is 2 weeks old. I used the defroster on saturday night and on sunday morning there was a crack on my windshield from the bottom center. Up and to the passenger's side. I do not hear a stone hit my windshield while driving. Subaru said it was a stone and is charging me over $700.00 to replace it. I have been driving for many years and have never gotten a crack like this. I believe it is a faulty windshield that cracked with the change in temperature.

Subaru Starlink system constantly drains battery, leaving driver and passengers stranded. The Starlink is constantly looking for a 3G network, and my area has updated all 3G networks to 5G. After shutting car off, the Starlink will continuously search and drain battery so it will not start. The only temporary fix is to remove the fuse and disable the module. The Starlink is supposed to help in the case of an emergency, but it cannot help if the battery is dead. dealerships have acknowledged the problem but will only offer a fix for the replacement of the module for a sum of about $ 1,300.00.
The Starlink screen becomes uncontrollable and begins changing screens on its own making driving very distracting and losing all control of vital functions such as radio, gps and phone. I have no control over it. I have video of the incident but cannot figure out how to upload it. I k low previous year models were recalled for the same situation and I believe there is a class action lawsuit.
The "infotainment system" screen is delaminating. I can not see my surroundings when in reverse. The system is paired with my mobile telephone and randomly calls persons in my contact list without my requesting it do so. The radio can not be turned off and it consistently makes noises as if it is attempting to scan different radio stations. These defects first appeared at 34,000 miles, well below the 36,000 mile warranty period.
Infotainment system touchscreen failed and it became unstable. Bluetooth connected to phone failed, gos failed Yes Yes No

Vehicle was using the self driving feature of the Subaru Eyesight system. With the system engaged, the vehicle is supposed to accelerate and apply brakes accordingly as to keep a distance from the vehicle in front. Today, that system failed. The vehicle, with the Eyesight system engaged, accelerated right into the vehicle in front. There was no warning. The vehicle will be go for repair on 12/5/23. I have used the Eyesight system since purchasing the vehicle in 2019 with no issues, except for today. Luckily, I was driving at a very low speed but this safety concern can cause catastrophic injuries if it is not fixed.

I had 4,000 miles goodyear eagle ls2 tires when I experienced a sidewalk blowout on the expressway in another state. We had to have it replaced while traveling. The repair shop said it was suspect since there wasn't a foreign object or puncture, it was just the sidewall that blew out. There were no potholes around. Fast forward 5 months and another tire developed a bulge in the sidewall. I happened to notice it when I was at the gas station. Luckily it didn't blow out. I have never experienced any tire ever blowing out or bulging in all the miles I drive. I'm on the road almost every day for my sales job. To me this seems like a quality issue. I still have the second tire if you would like to look at it. The authorized dealer I took it to couldn't be bothered with a warranty issue. There w
