Recall 24V-104 was issue in February 2024 and no remedy is available as of October 2024
I received a recall notice in Feb of 2024 for a faulty integrated brake module and issues with the antilock breaking system which may result in seemingly catastrophic issues. There is still no fix for this issue-- 9 months seems like a long time to be driving around a car which may "lose control". I'm not sure if I am safe in my car. I'm not totally sure if this is a reasonable amount of time? But I wanted to report this because it seems worthy of a complaint... Thank you for your time.

No further assistance was provided. We are unable to sell the car because it’s listed as unsalable because of the recall and we are unable to drive the vehicle. BMW should replace the vehicle at their cost.
I took my X7 to Habberstad BMW to have this brake safety recall done. The dealer said they do not have the parts available and have no ETA. I do not feel safe driving this car with the braking system not working 100% efficiency. I am on month 24 of a 36 month lease with BMW financial and I would like BMW to buy back this car and terminate my lease. This recall has been announced for a few months now and to not have a fix yet for a braking safety issue is unacceptable.
I attempted to have safety recall 24v-104(integrated brake system malfuntion) performed at BMW dealership BMW austin, 7011 mcneil dr. Austin, tx 78729-7687 phone (512)343-3570 on august 28 2025 at 11;00am with jason santosuosso. This service advisory told me the recall is not covered, because my vehicle has 36,100 miles-just 100 miles over the 36,000-mile factory warranty. He informed me that BMW 'denied" the repair and tha I would need to pay $1900. Out of pocket, (incluede oil change $329), even though this a federal safety recall. As per NHTSA regulations, recall repairs must performed free of charge, regardless of mileage or warranty expiration, refusing to perform a brake-related safety recall due to mileage is not only unreasonable but appears to violate federal law.
