I was driving my truck normally like any other day, was going down the road around 45mph when all of the sudden the front end shook so violently, that it pulled so hard to where I had to brake very quickly and stop the truck immediately. This problem that exist has not been determined yet. I have it at a mechanic, I also can not drive it, very dangerous. I got online and other people are having the same trouble and have labeled it the Ford death wobble. I took it to a mechanic on 12.14.11 were it is still at and on that same day I received a notice from Ford that there might be a recall soon due to excessive shaking and to check tire pressure. Front end alignment, tire size etc. This needs immediate attention, on the internet back in 2007 they had at least 61 complaints. Whatever is causi

When driving on uneven pavement or driving over chuck holes and particularly when maneuvering turns, the front end "hops" severely causing the driver to almost lose control and skid sideways. *tr
Driving straight on a highway at 55 MPH when after hitting a small bump in the road the front tires shook uncontrollably. This caused the truck to shift lanes and nearly hit another car. The shaking wouldn't stop until the truck slowed down. Took 2 hand struggling with the steering wheel to keep the truck under control. This has happened numerous times and is extremely dangerous. Today the truck is still totally stock with 33500 miles. Please have Ford issue a recall! *tr
Severe shimmy when truck was new. Ford refuses to fix says there is no problem . Can not drive on highway over 45 MPH .they need vibration damper on front end. *tr
I have a 2005 f350 with a 4 inch lift. I have experienced the "Ford death wobble" 4 times in the last week. 3 times it was @ ~40 MPH and 1 time it was at 75. Scared me to death. My brakes don't work when it happens and I have to coast to get it to stop. I had the shocks replaced (72k on truck) so the 1st shop I went to told me that would fix it. No such luck... I picked it up and right after it did it again. I just took it to a company who wants $700 to replace the pitman arm and gear box. I have not done this yet. Then I had a local 4x4 guy tell me that I need to replace the steering stabilizer shock and put a 2nd one on it. I have already spent $500 on shocks. The stabilizers will be $150. No one has a clear answer of what the issue is but they want me to keep spending $ on t

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Ford f350. The motor in the vehicle constantly fails. While towing a fifth wheel at approximately 65 MPH, the turbo charger blew out. The dealer installed a new turbo charger under warranty. Approximately three months later, the failure recurred and the motor overheated while driving approximately 65 MPH. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer and they tested the motor and replaced two heads, the oil cooler, and the EGR valve. The mechanic advised him to not use stretch volts to prevent the failure again. The contact was informed that non stretch volts would increase the chances of the failure not recurring because it was a better product than what the manufacturer used. The contact did not want to pay additional money for an aftermarket product because
While approaching a stop light after doing 60mph on the highway, vehicle shut itself down causing loss of control and braking system. I was able to bring vehicle to safe and complete stop which caused a traffic jam. *kb

While on I-95, my 2005 f-350 super-duty sputter and lost power. The truck went from 60mph with flow of traffic to 40mph in seconds. Making evasive measure from getting tag from behind, I was forced to the shoulder of the road which was taking up by snow. The truck crawled half on shoulder and half in the right lane while cars made there evasive action in order to miss me. After getting to a place to pull off the highway it took about 5-10min for it to clear up. The dealer informed me that the fuel tank was deteriorating and proceeded to ask me about my fuel and were I get it, because it must be contaminated. I also own three other diesel trucks a 1995, 1996 and 2000 and they all run on the same fuel from the same gas station. But yet all these tanks are find. The dealer wants to replace th

Transmission fluid was leaking out from under truck after I started it to let warm up. Had it towed to the garage only to find out that a snap ring inside the transmission had worn a hole in the transmission casing. This could have been real bad if I had not let the truck warm up as I live on a hill and the transmission fluid was coming out so fast I am sure the road would have been covered. I check to see if Ford had recalled this problem but they did not, even as there are many complaints on the Ford forum website. All I can say is there will not be another Ford in my life after I replace this truck. *tr

On july 4, 2005, I purchased a 2005 Ford f350 super duty lariat with long bed and dual wheels and 4wd at el cajon Ford. From the beginning, the truck experienced severe front-end vibration when I reached about 60 MPH. It continued until I got to about 80 MPH. I complained about this problem from the first visit for service at downey Ford. After a few visits for diagnostics, downey Ford installed a "dampener" on the front end. It made the problem better, but it did not completely cure the defect. I eventually bought a lance camper, which was on the truck for over a year. While the truck had the 3000 lb camper on it, the vibration went away on the straightaway, but was horribly dangerous on the curves. For example, one such curve is the 605 sb to the 405 sb in long beach. I almost
