I have a Honda accord 2005 and have noticed the airbag light continues to light up showing there is some defect. I could never find a recall on this issue and the light have come on for over a year now. I am concerned because we are military and now with the airbag recall issue I have found out talking with the corporate Honda dealer they are only getting the vehicle location from local dmv offices. The problem is military register their cars in their home state, but live in other states. So my car is in ca and has also been in fl and va. Because of this oversight, it appears I have not been notified of the recall. I called Honda to confirm if the faulty part is in my vehicle, and Honda refuses to tell me. I have been told "I am not part of the recall because I am not on the list". But if

2005 Honda accord v6 cp with only 37k on it, transmission failed this am and was towed to Honda dealership in sacramento, ca. So far there is no update. Car has been maintained and well taken care of. Its soo sad that a Honda car would brake down at only 37k when standard warranty is only good for 36k. I have no idea what will Honda corporation decide but I hope they will stand behind their product and take care of their customers. *tr

When the vehicle is started with a cold engine the car will surge in gear, accelerating the car unexpectedly. The frequency of the problem is intermittent. The car will surge with enough force that the amount of pressure one ordinarily exerts on the brake pedal to hold a car stationary is insufficient. *nm

Ac condenser prone to damage. With the placement of the condenser, it is easily damaged by flying objects hitting it during the drive. I went to the dealer to drop off my car earlier today to check on the ac problem and the first thing the service advisor did was look at the condenser and show me the many dents and marks. He said likely, it was hit by a little pebble while driving on the freeway and that it is a very common for the condenser to be damaged small flying objects. I only have had the car for 1.5 years. I did a quick check online and someone else also had the same problem and she only had the car for less than 3 months. *jb

The car sporadically turns off while driving. Before the car shuts off sometimes the dashboard lights will flicker. The check engine light will sometimes go on for a day or two and then turn off. The car was checked out by three nys mechanics who all drove the car at length only to determine that nothing was wrong. One of the mechanics was from a Honda dealership. *tr

Honda strung me a long for two years, resetting the electrical system to clear the engine light each time it was brought in for service. Since those two years the warranty has expired on my hybrid battery, which cost $3500 or more to replace. It is their product, and knew the problem was to replace the battery. They scammed my so now im stuck with a useless car. They would not even agree to assist me in buying another one.

The jacks that Honda provide for its 2005 Honda is not safe the system is a knuckle busting experierience and the jack will not hold the vehicle. It takes a lot longer to move the damaged tire from the vehicle. Why is it not a law that all car manufacturers are required to use a full size spare and a floor style jack I work in the automotive field and I know how to use a jack. *ak
