I bought the Hyundai sonata 2005 gle from colonial Hyundai of downigtwon pa. It was a used car with power train warranty given by the dealer. The car had approximately 73,000 miles at the time of purchase. Soon after I purchased the car the airbags lights started showing up. I went to the dealership and got it fixed, they charged me labor and scanning fees despite it not being my fault as the car had no impact to any object or accidents. Within 6 months of getting it fixed the airbags lights started flashing again, the dealership fixed it again. The airbags light again came back again for the third time, I reported it to Hyundai global customer service - their response was to take it back again to the same dealership and ask them to fix it. I did not take it back to the same dealersh

Are my airbags a problem? Were they manufactured by takata? The air bag light has remained on since I bought the car used. Should I get them replaced? Am I in danger from airbags? *tr

My car's engine cradle, cross member or subframe is rusted out and the OEM replacement for my VIN number won't fit it correctly I'm getting really upset because this could be dangerous for me and my two young kids. I've already paid the mechanic $600 for the replacement part when it really only costs $450 at the most and the two he has ordered before have both been either too big and it says that it is the correct replacement part. What is going on?!!! If something isn't fixed soon and something happens to me or my kids there is going to be a lawsuit.

Rust holes through engine cradle or sub frame. This car has only 39,900 miles on it and was well maintained. While getting oil changed the mechanic showed me the problem and told me to contact the Hyundai dealer and tell them about it. I called and they told me there was nothing they would do, I had to pay for the repairs.

Bought 2005 hyuandi on 12/8/04. Experienced vibration on 12/9/05 took car back to dealership in cleveland tennessee, they said nothing was wrong, but they thought that the bolts that hold the motor in car needed to be tightened. Took car back 3 days later for the same problem vibration, they said that the bolts needed to be tightened again. Took the car back on three other occasions and they continued to tighten the bolts that hold the engine in the car. Finally a representative was called in to look at the car he had me to drive the car and told me that it was normal for the car to have a vibration when sitting still and that nothing was wrong with the car. Also, he said that the bolts needed to be tightened that hold the engine in. *nm

I was driving home just like everyday from work. All of a sudden when I got off the high way it felt like my car was an airplane trying to take off.. Well it turns out I have a bad motor. There were no signs no nothing. I could have been in a worst place. I do not have any where near the mileage that I should for my motor to just go. *tr

The check engine light keeps coming on. The dealer has tried to fix it three times. The first time the engine light came on the car only had about 12 thousand miles. The light did not come back on for over 10 months. The car now has about 22 thousand miles and the dealer has tried to get the light to go off twice in the last month. The last time was about two weeks ago and the light stayed off for two weeks and now its back on. The dealer kept the car for a week and the light only stayed off for two weeks! The transmission seems to drag when the check engine light comes on. *tr

This is the first date that I reported to the dealer that the air bag light was on. Since that time, the light has gone off and come back on a many times. It was checked again by the dealer and also by a local, certified mechanic. It usually stays off for about 6 months, but comes back on. It is now on again. In addition, I've had to replace the door jam switch in jan. 2014. The door chimes (seatbelt sound) goes off randomly. Now, this sound is back. The car randomly locks itself and the radio randomly goes on as well. I feel that the car has electrical problems that may make it unsafe. I am especially concerned about the air bag issue. The car has approximately 57,000 miles on it. I find it hard to believe that this vehicle hasn't been recalled for any number of reasons. *tr
