I have a 2005 Hyundai tiburon with less that 20000 miles on it, I took the car to the dealer ( rick case Hyundai) on weston, florida because the gears when I shift are not working properly, I left the car in the dealer and I receive a call from rick case stating that I have to authorized the 5 hours that will take to diagnostic what was wrong with the car, I told then that this car come with 5 years / 60,000 bumper to bumper miles warranty and I didn't think I was liable for any cost. The dealer when further to say that most likely cause of damage was the clutch on the car and that was not cover under the warranty, I did sign the paper as to the 5 hours to inspect the vehicle at $95.00 per hours which is ridiculous to me that it will take 5 hours to know what's wrong with the car, I furth

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Hyundai tiburon. Upon purchasing the vehicle, the clutch would stick intermittently. The manufacturer explained that the failure occurred because the vehicle was new. On october 24, 2007, the clutch locked up while driving 15 MPH. The contact was eventually able to free the clutch and continue driving. The clutch failed completely and the dealer stated that it was not their responsibility because the vehicle was out of warranty. The contact was informed that if he took the vehicle to a third party, it would not be recognized by the dealer. The VIN and engine size were unknown. The current mileage was 24,790 and failure mileage was 24,746. Updated 12/12/2007 *bf updated 12/12/07 *tr
My brand new Hyundai tiburon's clutch failed. I felt it slipping for a few days, I did not know it was slipping because I have never felt a clutch slp until this new car, and it went out. I pulled over and got it towed. I was told that the clutch was "wasted" and it would cost $1400.00 to replace. This clutch was less than 18 months old and I have driven manual for years prior to this car. I was told it was my driving ability and that there was no leeway. I saw that there is a class action suit for this type of vehicle and the same story I have is posted all over the internet. This has to be addressed because people are getting their money stolen. I told them I was going to another garage who charge $900.00. When they heard that they lowered their price to $900. If I had not stat
Clutch is my 2005 Hyundai tiburon is malfunctioning, dealer says not covered under warranty because wear and tear part, after searching internet forums found that alot of clutch/flywheel problems are occurring in similar vehicles from Hyundai. Cause appears to be manufactures defect that they are not addressing. Only 60k miles on vehicle and have driven a stick shift for last 10 years regular wear and tear clutches will wear out around 75k to 115k under my driving conditions. *tr
I have had to replace my clutch, dual fly wheel entire clutch system 3 times now in the last 3 1/2 years. Each time costing me anywhere from $2400,- $3,400. No way should a clutch need replaced that much that soon, each clutch lasted approx 13 months. Hyundai wants nothing to do with the problem yet thousands of people are having same issues. Something needs to be looked at. Who can afford this much work every year? No one. I have spent close to $10,000 on 3 clutch jobs in 3 years. I'm taking it to bbb as well.
Clutch slippage on my 2005 Hyundai tiburon se which I reported to my dealer at lax Hyundai before I reach 60,000 miles, I was then told that it was going to cost me upwards to 800 plus dollars just to have it replace. My car is warranted upto 100,000 miles under the hpp program which cover mostly all components on my vehicle. After researching the issue that I am having with my car which was purchased brand new, I discovered a compliant trend for the same problem with my car model beginning since it's introduction in 2003. Researching more into the problem there seems to be a defect in the clutch valve spring the prematurely wears out the clutch. When I took my car in for diagnosis the mechanic even stated that the clutches are bad and that he was shocked that my car lasted as long as it
I purchased a new 2005 Hyundai tiburon on march 09, 2005 in cincinnati, ohio. At about 9,000 miles I noticed the car was behaving differently. By 16,000 miles even I who am not mechanical could figure out that the clutch was failing. I was amazed that this could be the case with so few miles on it, however. At this time I am living in southern california so I can safely sat that at least 2500 of those miles were accumulated on the interstate moving the car from ohio. The dealer in cathedral city, ca blamed me for the failure implying that I was not capable of driving a manual transmission. I, however, am 39 years old, have had 11 new cars since I began driving and all of them were manual transmissions. The only time I have ever needed to have a clutch assembly replaced was my previo
I drive a 2005 Hyundai tiburon v6 with a 6 speed manual transmission. After less than 25k miles my clutch started acting up by not disengaging the engine when pressing the clutch down. This happened suddenly one day when I was at a light and when it turned green I put it into first and the car lunged forward and stalled. I took it to the dealer and they told me that I needed a complete new clutch and the plate was completely worn (which it is still not worn and I now have 73k on it because I use it for a delivery car.) however, the clutch pedal is still a growing problem. As I let out the clutch in any gear it is not a smooth engagement, but a very harsh and abrupt engagement causing the car to leap at any gear with the petal almost fully to the floor. I have been pulled over 2 times

Purchased 4 new pirelli p4 205/55r16 91h tires on 11/1/10 from nashua wholesale tire in nashua nh. After 15k miles two of the tires are almost bald. These tires carry a 65k mile warranty. Returned to dealer seeking replacements. Deal was rude and said pirelli will not cover it, they do not even make that tire anymore. They will sell me 2 new p6 tires for full price. Contacted the president and vice president of pirelli, [xxx], and[xxx] asking for two new p4 replacements. Neither responded. I started my car at approximately 8 a.m. On 6/26/13 to go to work. One second after the engine fired, the steering wheel airbag blew up in my face. I have never had an accident in this car. The vehicle was stationary at the time and on my property with no evidence of anything out of the ordinary. After some troublesome negotiations, Hyundai motor america agreed to make a "one-time goodwill repair" of the vehicle's airbag components in exchange for signing my life away regarding the vehicle. I don't know if they reported this defect to you when I called their regional office in austell georgia on the day of the incident. However, I am reporting it now, in the hope that this doesn't happen to someone driving down a texas highway at 80 MPH. Their flippant attitude concerning this, to me, is

2005 Hyundai tiberon. Per discussion with the investigating officer, the driver was going around a sharp corner too fast. Lost control of the vehicle (possibly because the ESC unit inputs or steering box malfunction) and started fishtailing. Vehicle then slid sideways into another vehicle (side impact). None of the 4 airbags deployed, killing the driver instantly. Accident is still being investigated. *tr
