Engine stalls or shut down completely when auto moves from high speed to low speed. Mazda 6 w/ 3.0 liter engine, which is the same engine as this unit, has a similar issue - see here: http://www.6crew.com/files/tsb/01-016-06-2135.pdf this is happening persistently for the last 2 years.

At 38,000 miles, the van started to have intermittent hesitations that randomly occurred. I needed to replace all ignition coils at a cost in excess of $600. *tr

My Mazda 2005 mpv van engine shuts down completely when slowing down, slowing around corners and sitting at red lights. There does not seem to any spuddering or anything engine runs great. Loss of steering is the biggest issue when engine cuts off. I have seen a bunch of other complaints about the same problem on the same model van im sure there's lots more. *tr

Was exiting parkway west westbound exit for route 22 in pittsburgh for weirton, wv; engine shut off on its own when engine went out of overdrive and increased its rpms and I let off of gas pedal to brake - lost power steering and brakes, maintained control, shifted to neutral, restarted engine - traction control light remained on for rest of trip to wv until key was returned to completely "off". Then all lights were reset to normal - no check engine warnings. This has occurred about 5 or 6 times again, always after accelerating, and then letting off the gas pedal. I have been able to replicate with vehicle in park - just rev engine to around 2500 to 3000 RPM, and let off the gas - it shuts off every time on its own. So far I have not been rear ended, but? *tr

I was driving at a very low speed in heavy traffic . Lane next to me started moving, so I decided to change lane, find a empty space between 2 vehicles and decided to make a turn. My Mazda stalled , and did not move. I had to put it back to "park", stop the car, and restart, after that it ran ok. All this was on a freeway with moving traffic in the middle of the lane, when my wheels were turned and partially on the next lane and car body was standing still. I searched on the internet and it has happened to many people , due to iac valve getting clogged up. This should be a safety recall . *tr

I was waiting to make a left turn into my drive way, waiting to clear oncoming traffic. When the oncoming traffic was cleared, I found a gap before the next car comes my way and I decided it was safe to make a left turn. I turned the wheels of my Mazda mpv , but car went stalled, it would not move. I had to stop the engine, and restart the car. I searched the internet and many people have the same issue due to clogged up iac valve. This is a very big risk to the safety of the passengers and should be a recall. *tr

My vehicle is listed in the oct 22, 2014 NHTSA press release as being included in the takata airbag recall. I contacted Mazda customer experience (800) 222-5500 on oct 23 but, after a few days, I was told that my vehicle is not on their database and that I should contact the dealer in guam, triple j motors (671) 648-2277, where I originally purchased my vehicle. The dealer responded to me via email on oct 29, stating that according to Mazda, the airbag recall "is only extended to vehicles purchased in hawaii, puerto rico and the virgin islands". I'm not sure if Mazda is correct in excluding guam because according to the NHTSA press release it "appears to be a problem related to extended exposure to consistently high humidity and temperatures" and the regional recall included guam in the li

Takata recall has affected my vehicle and after 7 months the company nor the local dealership has done anything to address the defective part. We have been notified to not allow anyone to ride in the passenger side of the vehicle and this is terribly obstructive to our transportation needs. I believe far too much time has elapsed and still the company nor the local dealership has addressed this very serious issue.

Driving 5 MPH on road, rear defroster on, rear window shatters for no apparent reason. Contacted the dealer, dealer said would contact headquarters to get approval to replace glass. Did replace glass. First thing they mentioned asked when they heard the rear window shattered was if the defroster had been on. Suspicious that this has happened before and worried this may happen again. *nm

My vehicle is under national recall highway safety recall, due to manufacturing issues. I need to trade my vehicle in and I'm being over charged for vehicles that are not worry to be on the highway. I feel I should get an manufacture discount on an used/new vehicle because I should not have to pay for manufactured mistakes and I should not be over charged for vehicles that are not worthy of the price tag on them. When looking at my vehicle, I noticed grease streaks dripping from a line on my alloy wheel. After cleaning the grease off, we noticed a crack completely through the spokes on my rim. This is the second time this has occurred to my vehicle since we bought it but I was told there is not a pattern of defects. I was told on both occasions, at Mazda dealer service departments, my vehicle was unsafe to drive. Mazda usa told me no pattern of incidents have occurred and its not a safety issue on their end although their service departments say otherwise.
