Airbag light comes on every 4-8 weeks flashing red until the light is reset. As others have stated, this is an obvious defect in the car and needs to be addressed. This is a safety concern and I feel the airbags will not deploy if an accident occurs. The Nissan dealer wants 100 plus dollars to check the light each time and do a reset. Each time they tell me I need to replace airbag sensors or the entire airbag unit with no guaranty this will resolve the issue. I can see that no amount of money will resolve the issue as all threads and even in the complaints on this site point out the thousands people have spent replacing sensors and units, still resulting in the airbag system failures and return of the airbag light. I want Nissan to address this as a major safety issues. This is a very fa

I am the original owner of a 2007 350z. I just found out today that there has been a recall on the passenger air bag sensor since november 2008. I first began to notice the passenger air bag light being off over three (3) years ago. I had my 100,000 mile service around six (6) months ago. The sensor was listed as problematic, but not identified as a potential recall. Today, I called the Nissan usa number and spoke with [xxx] who told me that my VIN # did not match the ones from the recall in november 2008. I informed her that if a passenger in my car is harmed because Nissan usa will not live up to its responsibility to its customers and community, there will be a major lawsuit coming. I feel that the callus position of the company will prevent me from purchasing from them again,,,althoug

Engine quite on highway, causing loss of power steering and power brakes, nearly causing a crash on a dangerous mountain road (highway 17 in california). The check engine light came on and stayed on. The dealer, santa cruz Nissan Dodge (state reg. # aj-35673-n) traced the problem to a faulty crank position sensor which was replaced on 4/3/06 (repair order no. 157547). A problem with failed crankshaft position sensors caused a recall for 2003 350z with VIN's in the range jn1az*4**3t 000001-100167. The engine problem recurred two days later on 4/5/06 at an odometer mileage of 8,513, again causing the loss of power steering and power breaks, again nearly leading to a crash on a freeway. This time the problem was described as engine code po420, po430 -low catalyst efficiency. The deale
This has happened three times now. I have been driving my 350 down the highway at about 65 MPH and it just stops running I can push the pedal down and nothing happens. I had it towed into the dealership the first time and they said it was the cam shaft sensor. No big deal right? Well about 2000 miles later it happened again same exact thing. On my way to work in rush hour traffic the car just stopped again, and I was almost rear ended. After sitting in the fast lane for about 3 minutes the car finally started again and I got out of the way and they towed my car to the dealership again. The call came that for the second time the cam shaft sensor was bad, it was replaced again. The last time this happened I was on my way home and the car started doing the same thing. This time I smell
Consumer states that the vehicle is stalling while driving without any warning. First time it happened when the car had 10400 miles on it. When pulled to the side of the road was able to restart after few attempts and resume driving. The dealership has found bad throatle sensor and replaced throatle chamber/reset system under warranty. Second time it happened when the car had 16600 miles on it. The car has stalled while entering a highway! Was able to pull to the side of the road again, but all attempts to restart the vehicle were unsuccessful. Had to tow it to the dealership. The dealership has found an internal failure of the air flow sensor, which was replaced under warranty. Concerned about safety of this vehicle. *nm

I have had 3 recent Nissan vehicles that have had serious mechanical issues, 1st 2006 Nissan murano (only owner) 2nd 2004 Nissan 350z 3rd 2005 Nissan 350z which each of these vehicles are over $30,000 and top models of manufacturer. The murano which I had to sell july 2011 due to buying a home and could not deal with the problems that it was having on a regular basis....the 2004 350z I bought off a private seller, it looked good and boy was I wrong the stereo, electrical components, seats, overheating, horrible roar from the rear end, tires, windows failing, need I say more!!!!! Now to the car I am currently not using due to it being in the shop for the past 3+weeks, and finally having to drive with the tech to let him witness the defect as I drove.....this has been a huge headache

OEM lights hazed from the inside so I bought replacement lights from spyder auto... Part number 5064745. From the beginning the lights had a shadow in front of the car but I felt this was just a setup problem. This model light has the low beam sitting behind the high beam. It was later discovered that the design makes the low beam shine on the high beam chrome housing to send the light off the side of the car but not in front. This was reported to spyder auto but they could not recommend a solution to fix the problem. Same problem is occurring in both left and right headlights.

I have a 2005 Nissan 350z, the struts holding the heavy rear hatch have failed to keep the hatch open gradually deteriorating and had hit both my wife and I in the head very badly causing bloody gashes in our heads. I contacted Nissan and they first said they would repair it free, then changed their mind. It started as an intermittent problem that lead up to a total failure. When I brought the car to Nissan, I showed the service advisor my bloody gash and the reason plus the loose mechanism for manual release. He sent the car to the shop, a tech there said that there was no problem with the struts holding the hatchback and the loose assembly would be a few hundred dollars to tighten. This is in spite of the hatch not opening because the struts do not have enough power to pull up the trunk

2005 Nissan 350z right rear wheel has a crack in one of the spokes which I noticed on september 19 2010. Consulted miller Nissan in van nuys california on september 20 2010. Service advisor claimed its normal wear and tear and warranty does not cover a replacement. I explained how it is a safety issue and a wheel should not crack with only 48,000 miles on the vehicle. I have owned 8 cars and have never had any safety issues such as this. He simply walked away and did not consult me as to the safety of driving the vehicle off the lot. I also contacted Nissan north america and I am waiting for a callback from one of their representatives. *tr
