2005 Nissan armada brake hydraulic failure. It happen at least once every other month ever since I own the armada back when it's about 15k miles. While driving at low speed and coming to a stop, the brake light LED up and the braking system is useless, it make grinding sound, sound like springs popping out in front of the armada from tires. Almost crash the armada into another car stopping in front several times due to useless brakes. Took it the mossy Nissan houston, they can't "replicate" the issue back years ago. Once you shut off the armada, it reset and it went back to normal. And the problem continue, perhaps until someone get hurt or kill??????! *tr

Tl*the contact's mother owns a 2005 Nissan armada. While driving above 40 MPH with the brake pedal slightly depressed, the brake icon illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle makes a hard stop and the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer three times and they could not duplicate the failure. The current mileage was 36,000 and failure mileage was 25,000.
Vehicle: 2005 Nissan armada failure: complete failure of the brake system incident: while driving lost complete brake system, leaving me with no ability to stop the vehicle. The problem resolved itself by restarting the vehicle. Resolution: I took the vehicle to the dealer and was told they could not repeat the issue and that they would "reflash" the ECM that "should" correct the problem. After researching this I found many other owner of 2004 - 2007 Nissan armada and titan vehicle had the same problem. The problem is best described as an intermittent complete failure of the brake system that is resolved by restarting the vehicle. After many complaints to Nissan and the dealer they decided to replace the power brake booster saying that any component failure that causes this
While driving down the road I would be approaching a stop sign or light and I applied the brake and suddenly hear a loud grinding noise. When I pull over and turn the vehicle off and then start over, it was like it reset itself. I freaked out because I had children with me. Nissan, please figure this out!!! Also when I try to turn my air on or off I hear a very loud clicking noise. Even while driving down the road without touching the air it just randomly does it. *tr
While I was driving I applied the brakes and didn't have any and it made a loud sound I coasted to a stop turned car off. Called mechanic they came out and I had a blown fuse for my ABS system they replaced it but now I am wondering if this will happen again?
2005 Nissan armada. My airbag sensor light has turned on and remained on for no apparent reason. The vehicle has not been in an accident and was recently serviced by the local Nissan dealership about a week ago. Prior to the issue of the air bag light the braking system appears to be intermittent in stopping the SUV, which is also felt in the brake pedal while braking. I have addressed this to the dealership but they could not identify the cause. This all may or may not be related but this is very important to the safety of driving. To my knowledge similar problems are addressed in the 2007 and 2008 nissans vehicles but nothing yet for my 05 armada. How can you help? I would hate for these problems to be the cause of an accident one day. These complaints are very similar to others on
I have a 2005 armada and I experienced the ABS/brake/vdc light coming on. Took it to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong. They reset the computer and added fluid to the master cylinder. This happened after having the vehicle for 13 months. Symptoms: brake peddle fell to the floorboard, grinding was felt and heard, dash brake light came on. It felt like the brake pads fell off the calipers and the calipers and rotors were rubbing against each other to stop the truck, which didn't happen. I had roughly 20% braking power, compared to normal, when this occurred. I have had bake work done over and over again and the issue continue to come back and it's very random. My cousin whom has a 2005 Nissan armada also call me today complaining about the same issue. Did more research and f
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the emergency brake warning light illuminated as the vehicle exhibited an abnormal grinding noise. The contact merged to the shoulder and powered off the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician advised the contact that the power booster sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 106,000.
I was driving down the street close to my home (fortunately) and the brake light came on. I hit the brakes to test them to find that the brakes lost most power and the vehicle vibrated horribly. I finally managed to get the vehicle stopped. I then shut it off and then started it back up, which cleared the issue temporarily. A few days later I took it into the dealer who told me the vdc needed to be reprogrammed and that this was a know issue by Nissan for this vehicle. The dealer charged me to fix this known issue, yet less than 1,000 miles later the same thing happened again. Back to the dealer only to be told that now the brake booster needs replacement at a cost of another $1,000 as part of the same known issue. I called Nissan, but they flatly refuse to warranty what they know I
Driving in traffic causes brakes to lock as if the parking brakes were set. I have to pull over safely to the side of the road and place the vehicle in park, press on the parking foot brake to engage and disengage the brakes, turn off and on the vehicle to "reset" the brakes. It happened a few times especially on the freeway. In all multiple occasions nearly rear ending the vehicle in front of me especially when I have my family with me in the vehicle. When this occurs the brake light comes on, on the dash. Happens on both the freeway and the city streets in motion and once when the brakes was press in traffic.
I was driving my vehicle that I had just purchased off the parking lot of the dealer when I noticed that the brake light was on the dashboard I proceeded to stop and when I pressed on the brake pedal the vehicle delayed to come to a full stop. I also heard a weird noise sounded like a grinding noise and springs coming from the brake pedal.

2005 Nissan armada fuel gauge is not accurate and causing my armada to ran out of fuel in the mid of highway speed at 65mph. The fuel gauge saying I have 1/4 tank left as the car shutdown in the busy 65mph highway traveling, very close call on accident. Took the SUV to mossy Nissan of houston, I was told there's no recall on my SUV VIN specific. I was told there's a recall 2005-2009 but on VIN # specific only. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Nissan armada. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH the vehicle ran out of gasoline in the middle of the highway. The fuel tank was empty but the fuel gauge displayed that there was a quarter tank of fuel in the tank. The contact towed the vehicle to a local gas station in order to add fuel to the vehicle. The contact noticed a recall regarding the fuel system, other:storage:fuel gauge system (10v074000) and requested that the dealer perform the repair; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer should extend the recall since the failure could have caused a crash. The failure mileage was 52,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan armada. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact turned the key off and tried to restart the engine and the vehicle would not start. All of the electrical components continued operation. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and the dealer discovered a faulty sender unit. The dealer replaced the sender unit. After the repairs, the check engine light illuminated so the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer. The diagnostic test showed that the catalytic convert malfunctioned and would need to be replaced. The dealer replaced the catalytic convert and a month later, the catalytic converter failure recurred. The contact inquired with the manufacturer in regards to NHTSA campaign id number: 10v074000

Heater unit fails to operate unless you switch back and forth the control unit several times. This is a unsafe condition during inclement weather conditions. This auto has been back to the dealership 5 times and it is still not fixed or resolved. A vehicle's climate control system should be reliable and should be fixed. The vehicle is under warranty. I have been waiting over 1 month for parts that was supposed to be ordered. My dealer is telling me that Nissan is not shipping the part. I am not sure what this means. *tr
