Transmission failed at intersection leaving vehicle unable to move. Problem was caused by radiator fluid mixing with transmission fluid. I contacted Nissan about the issue and they denied any claim for repairs. Nissan has known about the issue and settled the claims for a small number of people. They made it basically impossible to recover any damages because they require a deductible of $3000 before they pay anything. They also will not cover anything above 100,000 miles. *tr

Over heats, coolent leaked into transmission causing transmission to go out
Transmission failure just bought truck for about 3 months for daughter never drove it first putting on the highway truck stop moving in the middle of traffic in the fast lane cause two accident get it pull home then found out its the transmission an alot of people having the same problem once it cools off it will drive till the transmission gets hot then it stops working again
Transmission radiator ruptured. Coolant flooded transmission and destroyed transmission. This ruptured occurred while vehicle was in motion traveling on interstate.
I own a 2005 Nissan pathfinder. The engine coolant contaminated the transmission fluid because an internal piece broke. The only reason I noticed any issue is the reverse gear began to have trouble engaging. After visiting two mechanics, I had to replace the entire radiator/coolant system and put in a new transmission. Although Nissan has acknowledged this is a common issue, they refused to do anything to help with the situation. Ultimately, this repair cost me upwards of $6000.00 to repair. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was restarted after several attempts. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 189,000.
The transmission in the 2005 Nissan pathfinder slips and jerks while driving at highway speeds. The slippage can cause the vehicle to rapidly decelerate in traffic increasing the likelihood of an accident. The rapid jerking of the vehicle can cause the vehicle to loose control on its own or frighten or disorient the driver causing the driver to loose control of the vehicle.
Vibration from rear wheel begins at 40 MPH and increases with vehicle speed. Tires and u joints have been replaced - problem persists. Identical to transmission/radiator issues described in several consumer forums. I am reluctant to drive this vehicle, especially on the highway. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Nissan pathfinder. While driving 55 MPH with the cruise control activated, the rpms accelerated and the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart on the first attempt, but the gears failed to shift. The vehicle was towed home. It was diagnosed that the transmission was flooded with water and the radiator needed to be replaced. The radiator was replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 179,000.
I was driving the car and when on the onramp of the freeway, the car lost power and shut down. Nissan dealership said the radiator leaked fluid onto the transmission causing it to loose power. They said I need a new transmission and radiator but will not cover the warranty which was settle in us district court of new york. They want to charge me $5300 for the repairs. This is clearly a faulty design of the Nissan pathfinder series and website searches verify that the problem exits for thousands of Nissan pathfinders for the years of 2005-2010 in relations to a radiator crack and fluid leaking onto the transmission. *tr
Radiator cracked and contaminated the transmission fluid. I had to replace the defective radiator and flush/refill the transmission fluid.
My car had 1/4 fuel, I filled the tank to full, the gas gauge do not set the car to full tank, I read the book and made the instructions but the gauge do not change, when I run the car for 2 hrs. And I turn off, it began to change to full tank. The other issue was when I had a 1/2 tank of gasoline...I stop for 5 minutes and I leave the car on, when I returned saw the gas gauge in empty... Actually I have the check engine light on for some days and off for the others days. *tr
The transmission started slipping when accelerating at all speeds. Coolant was found in the trans fluid. The radiator and water pump had to be replaced. We had to also add a oil cooler as a precaution. Now 8k miles later the transmission has failed and will not shift into 5th gear. Best case scenario is a new trans valve assembly for $1500 or worst case new trans for $6500. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 Nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was empty although it was full. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that they were aware of the problem but offered no other assistance. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the fuel gauge was defective. The vehicle was repaired in 2008 under warranty but the failure occurred again. The vehicle was not repaired again. The failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was approximately 150,000.
I am having a problem with my fuel gauge for my 2005 Nissan pathfinder. The gauge on my dash board does not accurately reflect the amount of fuel that is in the fuel tank. No matter if the tank is full or not the gauge reads empty 99% of the time. Occasionally the gauge will read as if there is fuel but this happens very rarely. Because of this defect I have run out of fuel on a number of occasions and have lost control of my vehicle because of the loss of power. The problem has been around for about 20k miles. Currently I am at about 88k miles on my pathfinder and because of the miles I do not qualify for the extended warranty that I just found out about, which caps the miles at 72k. *tr
Fuel sending unit failed causing fuel gauge to improperly showing correct fuel levels. Possible chance of running out of fuel due to incorrect readings. And causing the vehicle to stall and cause a dangerous situations on the road or to others safety. *tr

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that the sunvisor was made with a defective plastic assembly and when driving over a road bump, the sunvisor would fall and block the contact's view of the roadway. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 20 and the current mileage was 32,695. Kmj
