Takata recall: I received a notification 6 months ago that no passengers could safely sit in my front passenger seat as a result of the takata recall. Since then, my passengers have been on several uncomfortable long, 5+ hour frequent trips, or I have been unable to use my car for those trips. After 6 months, I still have not received notification that the parts can be fixed. Since I live in a busy city and would typically ride with passengers, my car has become unsafe and useless for anything other than occasional lone trips. I am shocked that no other remedy has been offered to help those impacted by the takata recall. *js

Takata recall. It has been almost 6 months since we received the interim recall notice from Toyota. We have heard nothing since. Toyota is acting in an unethical and dangerous manner by taking so long to remedy this potentially fatal defect. As a couple that almost always travels together in the corolla, we have been denied the use of our vehicle by Toyota. This is a loss and we are being held hostage by Toyota. Because, we might as well not have the vehicle, but can't in good conscience unload it on someone else. The interim recall notice from Toyota calls it an 'inconvenience' and warns us not to operate the vehicle with a passenger. We have been patient, but our patience is at an end. Now, we are angry and it is only reasonable that if our Toyota is not repaired in the next 60 days, we

Toyota airbag recall: I called Toyota to schedule an appointment to have my airbags fixed back in november. I was set up with the Toyota dealership to have my airbags replaced. They told me they had to order parts for that service and would call me once those parts came in. I never received a call about this again and they have not followed up with me on my inquiries.

2005 Toyota corolla le 4 door sedan. Incident mileage 106,000; current mileage 108,000. Harsh shift, engine warning light with DTC p2716. Occurs constantly. Car (especially in low gears) lurches forward as it shifts to the next gear. I have to be extra careful of my spacing to ensure I don't accidentally hit someone. Toyota service bulletin tc015-07 says the ECM should be replaced at the tune of 800+ dollars. Although I am over the 80k miles warranty for the Toyota federal emissions warranty "this warranty is in effect for 96 months or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle?s in-service date.", I don't think that I should have to pay for a known defective component, especially since most of my miles are open-highway commuting and I am less than the 8 years of t

I had 2 goodyear tires (the car had less than 2500 miles) that blew out. Airbags deflated upon impact. *jb

Daytime running lights, drl problem. I am often required to drive with lights off on property as an astronomer at nighttime. My 2005 Toyota corolla lights are always on even when the lights are in the off position. If stalked or my girlfriend drives the car we could not turn them off and drive away and escape alive. This is a hazard that can cause death or rape from stalkers or robbers. I often am alone at night in dark deserted areas and need to be able to turn light off or on as needed. I could not get on the observatory property due to this defect. *jb
