There are four long cracks developed on the dashboard that surrounds the passenger side airbag and above the driver side console. We are concerned whether these crack will impede the functionality of the air bags. *tr

Dash has cracked completely around passenger side dash air bag, which , in my belief, will effect deployment. This problem began occurring in the summer of 2016. I noticed the first crack one morning when I took the car out of the garage. I took the vehicle to Acura service dept to ask for assistance, and was told that they would only provide $200 on an $2000 bill to replace the dash.
2006 Acura tl? Whyyyyy is my dashboard cracked everywhere. Is this even safe. Same as all dashboard crack at airbag. I will let spend my extra time letting everyone know not to buy from Honda/Acura they do not stand behind their product. There needs to be a recall on the dashboards. *tr
Several large cracks have developed on the front dash board. This include the areas in and around the part of the dash that cover the passenger side air bag. I have used no type of cleaner that would have caused this issue and have not been involved in any serious crashes. A search online shows a large number of vehicles of this make and model with similar issues.
My passenger side dashboard has a crack approximately 12-18 inches long that appears to outline the air bag door. I am concerned that this could reduce the resistance of the airbag when it deploys, therefore increasing the force with which it deploys into the passenger compartment. *js
A large crack on the front dashboard above the airbag on passenger side. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Acura tl. The contact stated that the hood failed due to defective struts the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure and current mileage was 32,000.
Dash that covers front passenger air bag is cracking and I am concerned that it may lead to premature deployment of the air bag, or in the event of needed air bag deployment cause physical hard to the passenger. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Acura tl. While driving 20 MPH in second gear, the vehicle shook violently and the steering wheel vibrated and made a whining noise. In addition, the check engine, transmission, and power steering warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission and rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 181,000.

I was driving down the highway at ~60+ MPH in traffic and tapped the brakes. The car lurched and almost came to a dead stop (I later learned that the automatic transmission had shifted into 1st gear). This happened 2-3 other times as I tried to move over and get out of the traffic flow w/o being able to fully deploy the brakes. I had to "coast" to a stop. The force of the lurch was enough to throw me forward in my seat. I feel very fortunate that the airbag didn't deploy and that I was able to move to the shoulder without incident. The loud clunk that the car made when this happened made me think I had hit a huge rock or something in the road. Beyond scary. I am the only owner of this car and it has been 100% maintained by the dealer. *tr
I had the most harrowing experience while driving home last saturday, nov.27, around 1:15am, at constant speed of 60 MPG when suddenly while stepping on the accelerator pedal I felt slipping of the gears, then the car's acceleration quickly dropping as I frantically tried to regain control and barely managing to steer the car onto the shoulder where it stopped to move completely. I realized then that the car wouldn't move in any gear I shifted it to, which is indicates to me of a failure relating to transmission, if not a failure in the automatic transmission itself that caused this very dangerous incident to happen. I had to call aaa to have the car towed to my driveway where it still is as of this writing. I had no prior knowledge of any transmission problem with this car nor should sus

Engine mounts are broken. I have own more than 10 cars and I have never had the engine mounts fail. The car has 75000 miles. Acura should replace the engine mounts. It appears that I am not the only one with the same problem. *tr

I was driving home from work on a very busy street, driving about 55 miles an hour. It was dark and raining and my car completely shut down! No headlights, no dashboard lights and nothing was running...it completely shut off no hazard lights either! Luckily I was able to pull off to the side. I pulled my key out of the ignition, then put it back in and nothing happened. I repeated putting my key in the ignition and it started back up. I was able to drive the car home. I pulled it in the garage and shut the car off...pulled the key out and put it back in the ignition and it does not start at all. I know it's not the battery because it was just replaced a few months ago. When I tried it this morning, the dashboard and over head lights come on in the car. When I put my key in the ignition and
