After fueling the Chrysler 300c the car will crank just fine and run for a minute or so but then stalls out. This scenario continues for about 5 to 8 times before it is safe to get back on the road. It has also died while driving shortly after fueling causing the power steering to stop making it extremely difficult to steer the car off the road to safety. This is very upsetting and unsafe for my family. There seems to be no good answer for this problem. *tr

Vehicle stalled after refueling. Filling the gas tank to full without 'topping off' will cause the car's engine to stall without any prior warning. No dtcs/miles are set. Can be restarted with some difficulty. The stall will occur at any engine/vehicle speed and will happen within the first 5 minutes of driving the car after refueling. The problem can be avoided by not filling the tank past 3/4 full. Have tested this 'work-around' at the same gas station & pump. *tr
When the Chrysler 300 hemi 2006 receives a full tank of gas, the Chrysler 300 hemi 2006 shuts off after the initial start of the engine and an additional two to three times. After several starts of the engine, the Chrysler 300 hemi 2006 begins to move, but stalls and chokes while in motion. During the stalling and choking the Chrysler 300 hemi 2006 looses steering ability. *tr
After refueling, car stalls. This happens after driving approximately 2 to 3 minutes after leaving gas station. The stall has taken place at intersections, while at a complete stop and while driving no more than 5 -10mph after leaving the gas station.. Car restarts after several attempts in neutral. When each incident occurs, the oil icon comes on, however the oil level is not low. On one occasion after having backed into a parking space with the car gear shift still in reverse and my foot on the brake, the car lurched. The tires could be heard spinning. That was very scary because my car could have rolled into a busy highway. Once the fuel level indicates approximately a half a tank, no stalling incidents take place. Car was taken to the dealership with this concerned. Service advisor w

This vehicle have a serious and dangerous problem when is refueling with the fuel vapor recovery system. Also expell fuel from the tank. The fuel system allowed an overfill condition after refueling and the engine stall when the vehicle stopped or traveling at slow speed.
Shifter into park have to tap it all the way to the left after car is off to remove key from ignition or car stays on.
My car stalls after refueling the tank. I am using "plus" gas and it still stalls several times after refueling, usually at a stop light or slowing down but also when just driving along. The car will buck a few times and then just stall out. It takes a few tries to get it to turn over but eventually it will. This happens every time we fuel up.I bought the car second-hand from a dealer who liked to charge me for misc repairs they never actually fixed (according to my own mechanic). My mechanic has no answers. Other than this dangerous problem, I like my vehicle, do you know if Chrysler has the answer and if this can be resolved? I am guessing at when the problem started. Sometime in 2012 shortly after the purchase
After filling up the car it will stutter and stall randomly. I have almost been hit twice and honked at numerous times for a basic, yet dangerous issue. *tr

Our car is Chrysler 300c AWD model year 2006. Currently car has about 46000 miles. Recently without any warring engine stops to work. First incident occurred on december 11, 2013 shortly after we left the gas station were we fill up the tank. We could not restart the car and towed the car home paying fee of $75. The first time this happened was over a year ago. I had just filled up gas tank and pulled out of lot still in a parking lot of a shopping area. Turned left into a fast food place and car shuts down and would not restart until attempted several times. I was able to pull into a parking spot and went inside. Came out started car was pulling out of lot into traffic and car shuts down again. This time not to the liking of other drivers or myself. Restarted after several attempts drove home and did not happen again till I went on a trip a few months later. Half way through the trip I had to refuel and bingo it happened again after pulling out of gas station lot and turning left into traffic. This is not good.
