The engine cradle sub frame has rotted to the point where the car will not pass a ny safety inspection. All other frame components are in good shape, so it begs the question as to what was different about the manufacturing of the sub-frame? The issue is repairable, but it is a pretty costly fix (approx $2000) and it involves finding a replacement part from a vehicle outside of those states that routinely deal with road salt in the winter.

Went for annual ny state inspection, that got a call from mechanic to see under the car. Front engine cradle was rusted with holes and metal peeling off on the touch. Car did not pass inspection and engine cradle has to be replaced. It is not safe to drive.I was advised to contact Chrysler since they have seen many pacifica's with the same problems. After talking to Chrysler customer service was told that they are aware of the problem but that they are sorry that they can not help since they have issued a recall but just for limited number of cars manufactured in 2004, since my car is newer it is not covered in that recall. *tr

Car died as I was making a left turn. Car was 2 hours into the trip so was fully warmed. It started back up immediately after incident. Two instances of this, first was at 8050 miles, next was at 11800 miles. (4/12/06, 6/20/06) car taken to dealer (team Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, michigan city, in) after second incident (6/29/06) and they could not find any "trouble codes" stored. They state on invoice, "1803905 for PCM reprogramming. Reprogrammed PCM per tsb 1803905 18190610/.7/fc fm." no other stall incidents have occurred. *jb

My cradle has 3 large rust holes on the passenger side we took it off the road looking for a new cradle and it seems 2 be a real problem with these cars stay away from Chrysler pacificas in general if u want 2 be safe . It seems when my husband would change the oil on the passenger side of the car was always water sitting in the cradle or moisture in the area. Great job engineers on the making of the engine drop cars that people spend big money on & it doesn't matter where they are located in the united states. Stay away 2 b safe

Took my 2006 Chrysler pacifica in for brake service and was told by the technician that the engine sub-frame is rotted and is unsafe to drive. My mechanic searched around for sub-frame and the least expensive used was $950.00 plus labor. In investigating the vehicle it seems there is a problem with sub-frame on the Chrysler pacifica from 2004-2008. Is there a recall on this part? If not is there a class action law suit on this vehicle for the above item?

I had the oil changed on december 20th, 2017, and when I picked up the car, the mechanic told me the engine was ready to fall out. He said the sub frame that supports the engine was rotted out and ready to fail. I was advised not to drive the car in this condition.I was given a quote of around $3,000.00 to fix it. I've been driving for over 50 years and never heard of any car experiencing this problem.

While driving my car I turned on my turn signal to turn right onto the highway, and upon accelerating my check engine light beeped and turned on, then as I turned my wheel and tried to accelerate it wouldn't and then my car died. I then had my car towed to my house where it remains until I have it towed to the dealership. *tr

The gas pedal sticks on this vehicle when trying to accelerate. When the car does finally start moving forward it "jerks" forward rapidly. This has occurred when pulling out of park & also when trying to pull out into traffic. From researching it on the internet it seems to be a common issue related to the throttle body.
