2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class owner complaints

I first thought someone had been stealing my gas until my car started to smell like gas. If I give someone a ride in my car, they make comments about the smell as soon as I start to drive. My coworkers have noticed the odor in when they pass by my car in the parking lot and the spots that it leaves on the ground. I took my car to the mechanic and he said my fuel pump is leaking on to the top of my fuel tank at an excessive rate and is not safe to drive. My car only has 84,000 miles so I did some research on recalls. Mercedes has extended warranties on several models from 2006-2009 but mine is not on the list. My car has the same problems as the other vehicles effected. What can I do next?

Our 2006 Mercedes clk 500 started to smell like gas right after filling it up and would continue to smell until about 3/4 of a tank. After removing the rear seat and service cover I noticed that there was standing gasoline on top of the gas tank. *tr

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.

My complaint is against Mercedes-benz, usa for their failure to inform me of the substantive defects and recalls at the time of my purchase of the 2006 Mercedes c280; VIN [xxx]. On april 24, 2009, I engaged in a contract with Mercedes benz financial services for the purchase of the above 2006 c-280. I was never informed of the serious defects on the vehicle. I was never given an opportunity to make an informed decision. Hence, the business practice of Mercedes benz and or it's dealership was deceptive. It is hard to imagine that anyone, let alone myself, whose medical impairment of fear, anxiety and panic disorder (ada act) would purchase a vehicle with full knowledge of the risk factors involved; during and prior to the purchase, pursuant to: a). 2006 clk 350 coupe / check engine oil levels (message). I've owned my car since march 18, 2007. I'm writing to inform you that I have received a message three times stating "check engine oil levels" the message came on for the first time in july 2007. I drove the car back to the dealership where I bought the car from and I arrived at the service department 15 minutes before they closed and they didn't have time to look at my vehicle, so they placed oil in my car and turned me away. Check engine light came on in my 2006 mb 350 clk. Took to a mechanic was told it was a balance shaft issue and would cost about $5000 to repair. *kb

I bought 2 brand new tires kumho 225/50r16 dec 24, 2010 from america's tires. On 09/12/10, I was on the fwy and the back right tire tread separated from my rim causing me to sway all across the fwy almost crashing into other cars. When I look took the tire back I was told it was my fault but I know it wasn't. This company is going to kill someone selling these cheap tires! *tr

The local dealer Mercedes-benz of modesto located at 3900 mchenry ave, modesto, ca 95356 was notified and the contact was informed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The contact mentioned that the accelerator pedal had to be depressed numerous times in order to accelerate, which responded intermittently. The contact was able to restart the vehicle in order to reset the computer. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on several occasions where the failure was unable to be replicated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the transmission valve housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
