Driving approximately 65 MPH on i64 in virginia when gears locked up and lost all acceleration. Pulled off to the side and could smell a burning sensation, car then would not move. Back wheels locked up and when car attempted to be moved for a tow, entire back end rattled and grinded. Took vehicle to the dealer as it is still under warranty and has only 15k miles, dealer reported that it was an "exploded rear differential." all parts were replaced by dealer, who remarked they had replaced many rear differentials in the past yet has never seen one explode like that before. Luckily, driver remained in control of car and pulled over at the very instant there was a problem otherwise this could have resulted in a catastrophic loss while traveling at a high speed on the interstate. *tr

The seller lied about everything! The first question I asked was if the car was in an accident. He bragged about being a mechanic, and doing all the work on the car, so everything in the car is in, "tip top shape." he replied, "no, never!" he did not allow us to ride the car on the interstate before the purchase, claiming it was illegal. 10 mins after leaving the car lot, the car cuts off and is unable to crank back up. The seller meets us and claims it the battery. A "new" battery was placed in the vehicle, but the problem persists. My fianc, who is not a mechanic, told him more than once, that the problem was not the battery, but the alternator. He got the car to crank. As we are riding down the interstate, the car cuts off, and we are left aimlessly rolling and are unable to control t

My 2007 Cadillac cts has had problem after problem since I purchased it used at 60,000 miles!! I am now experiencing seriously dangerous & hazardous brake issues when parking &/or turning the wheel all the way!! The brakes pulsate & go to the floor but fail to stop!! The service brake light comes on & the ABS/tc light as well, but then will go off before I can make it to the dealer!! When I parked on a hill my car failed to stay parked & started to drift backwards down the hill so I had to jump in & hit the brakes manually!! Also the passenger airbag light doesn't recognize when someone is in the passenger seat. The service airbag light would come on the dash & information center then now it is staying on at 90,000 miles. I contacted GMC about the brake issues & they told me there was no r

Engine light on dashboard warned that there was a problem. After investigation it was clear that the timing chain had to be replaced. This was carried out without any courtesy from import-organization or dealer. After 28,000 miles? Unbelievable. It cost me a lot of money. *tr

I replaced my brake lines being many others with the cts-v have had failure while driving. Once removed, my lines were starting to crumble apart under the rubber where the hose connects to the fitting, just as expected. There is a recall for the base cts, but not for the cts-v, eventhough they both use the exact same part number for the brake lines. Here is a photo of the part: . *tr

A recall has been issued by gm for 2004-2007 Cadillac cts-v cars concerning the fuel pump module and the electrical connector melting a hole and allowing for a fuel leak. See gm recall: n140405 I have verified that my car uses the exact same fuel pump that is in all the recalled cars. The same pump would then require the use of the same style connector that is prone to melting and spilling fuel. I would like my fuel pump to be repaired just as all the other 2004-2007 cts-v's. This is a significant concern for safety. *tr
