Extreme gasoline smell from right rear of vehicle. Took vehicle to dealership and the replacement of the fuel pump module cost $998.47. We received a recall notice #12190 , submitted a claim and was denied due to the leak was on the discharge line instead of the vent line.the whole part is faulty and can cause a fire or serious injury. *tr

I took my car into a power Chevrolet dealership back in september, they said there had been a recall for the coils/spark plugs. They fixed the issue, as my car had been stalling as I accelerated. Now, recently my electric stability traction light came on, along with my engine and "service brakes" light. I had my brakes done back in october at the same time as they replaced the coil. My car is starting to stall and do the same as it was back in october. I am not sure why Chevy is not recalling or sending out notices about these issues. It's hazardous. I contacted a lawyer. *tr

I almost got killed when power steering stopped working all of a sudden. No warning at all. I was on my way home from shopping. Good thing this happened to me and not my wife she would not have been able to control the equinox.

The cat was paked in the driveway I remote started it and when I finally got to my vehicle to leave the steering wheel was hard to maneuver. Now I recently purchased this vehicle a month ago from a dealership and was given the responsibility to pay for this but to no avail I complained because I am a new owner and that should not be a repair I'm responsible for. But that didn't stop them for making me pay a deductible as if it was normal wear and tear. This didn't sit right on my heart so I figured to do some internet seeking and found there is a recall for this power steering module I'm sure the dealership knew this before selling it to me. Very displeased!

17 yr old daughter driving home from school and power steering failed. Dealer diagnosed problem as a failed power steering module. Cost to replace $730.00. Seems that with all the complaints and similar recalls on other gm vehicles, gm should issue a recall as this is obviously a known defect and has the potential to result in serious or fatal injury. *tr

The electronic power steering went out briefly. I managed to get to the side of the road and shut the care off and restarted it and then it seemed to work just fine. It has happened a couple of other times but I was lucky enough to be in a parking lot. I have never seen any recalls on this but I have noticed alot of complaints. *tr

On 9/22/08 we took our vehicle to gregg young Chevy in omaha ne with complaint of the passenger air bag did not register passenger. The could not duplicate and nothing was done. Again on 4/10/10 we took the vehicle in again with same complaint. We were told again could not duplicate at this time, no problem found scanned, no codes. No bulletins found, system working as designed. Then again 9/28/11 we took it in again and complained the service air bag light is on intermittently. They replaced the pps module. We had to pay labor and factory warranty deductible. I see by you recall page there was a recall #07v344000 on the passenger sensor and or calibration. If there was a recall why were we charged to replace a default by the maker? Now here we are in dec 2016 and now we are having the sa

Heater is blowing cold air only. Unable to defrost front windshield. This is very hazardous, as my winter driving visibility is limited. Suspect air blender door failure. This problem was addressed by tsb 11135 (may 30, 2012); however it only applies to 2006 Chevy equinox. My car is a 2007 Chevy equinox. I spoke with gm and they confirmed the tsb was only for the 2006 model year. My research leads me to believe that the 2007 model year should also be included. My heater parts might be from late model 2006. *tr

Fan assembly stopped working, causing my engine to overheat, and now I have a blown head gasket...not a cheap repair. Appears there are a lot of owners of the same vehicle that seem to be having a head gasket issue around 80k. *js

Noticed a strong smell of gas coming from the vehicle when parked. Had to move it out of garage as smell was extremely strong. Took car in for service 8/25/12, found that the plastic part of the fuel pump was cracked and cost approximately $909 to repair. Find out there is a recall for this very same issue (NHTSA campaign id number: 12v459000), as well a corresponding recall for same issue on select Suzuki xl7 (NHTSA campaign id number:12v597000). I contacted gm customer assistance by phone (800-243-8872) to find out if my vehicle was covered, was told no, only because it was not originally titled in one of the following states "originally sold or currently registered in arizona, california, nevada, and texas". Was told by gm customer assistance that they would contact me if it was decided

The throttle position sensor fails and causes the car to turn the stabilitrak and traction control off, and reducing the engine power. This is very dangerous while driving down the highway. The car will not go over 40 and the engine repeatedly revs up and down on its own. *tr
