I noticed the first time there was an issue with my gas gauge when I was sitting at the bank drive thru and it dinged at me that I needed gas. I thought it odd, because I thought I had just filled up. I went to fill up and it only cost $20, so then I knew something was wrong. Gas gauge stayed at 1/2 tank regardless of full or empty, then got stuck at 1/4 tank, now stays on empty at all times. I have to keep track of miles and always fill up (which is not easy if the funds are not available). I've since run out of gas 3 times. Luckily, either time, neither of my 2 small kids were in the car with me. This is very frustrating, not only running out of gas, but even more so hearing that gm is only willing to cover 1/2 of the expense, if you take your truck to an already over priced deale

The first time I noticed there was a problem with the fuel gauge sensor in my '07 trailblazer, I had about 1/3 of a tank of gas when I parked and turned the engine off to go into a store. When I started the engine again, the fuel gauge went to empty and the low-fuel light came on. I went to fill the tank and only needed about 11 gallons, which is when I confirmed the gauge was wrong. The gauge continued to show empty and has ever since. I am now doing my best to keep track of fuel by estimating usage based on the miles driven after each fill-up. I've been reading up on the recall and I'm outraged that gm is still only offering to pay for half of the repair costs if done at a dealer, which, by the way is why I haven't had this repair done yet. I've read in some cases there have been e

2007 trailblazer gas light comes on when fuel tank is full. This needs to be a recall due to fact vehicle could fail on road in freezing conditions. Lives could be in danger for faulty reading or for engine failure due to improper sensor working. Apparently this has happened to many people with even 2005-2006 models. It is not covered under warranty. There needs to be something done about this for safety of the public!!!!!! *tr

Low beam lights stopped working while going down the road. ## VIN passed ## Chevrolet trailblazer 2007 ##
The headlights on the vehicle go out at random times, several times while driving at night the lights have gone out, the last time I was entering a highway and ended up using the high beams so I wouldn't go off the road. This is a very dangerous safety concern.
The low beam headlights randomly go off together when driving and often will not come back on for a short period of time. Have to use high beam after low beam goes off.

While taking my kids to school this morning, the engine shutoff shut off with no indication at all. We were starting to slow down to turn the corner to head to the school when this incident occurred. We have had several components (battery, ignition switch, alternator, starter relay) changed out the fixed the engine light, but the engine continues to stall. I have seen over 500 other people with this same issue and have not seen anyone who has had it fixed yet. *tr

On 9/24/08 I was involved in an auto accident where my 2007 Chevrolet trailblazer's airbags failed to deploy. My vehicle impacted another with my entire front end at approximately 45 MPH. My trailblazer was totaled. Not only did my airbags fail to deploy, the onstar system did not automatically go off. I had to hit the button to summon assistance. When we asked the dealer about it, their response was "sometimes they go off, sometimes they don't" I sustained a broken left arm, numerous bruises, a cut on my ankle and an ankle sprain. I also injured my back and neck which is requiring ongoing care. *tr
