Takata recall I was notified in june 2016, that my truck was part of the takata passenger-side airbag recall. I contacted the local dealer and was told on 7/7/2016, that they would notify me when parts were available. According to the paperwork on the filing, I am in priority group 2. It was my understanding, that I could expect the recall repair to my vehicle to be repaired by the end of 2016. It is now 3 days from the end of the year and I have received no further notifications from Dodge about the recall or any information about when I can expect it to be completed. In reading some of the information, it appears that it may now be fixed by march 2017. I understand part supply is part of the issue, but the manufacturers have known about this for several years now and should be pr

While driving at various speeds, the truck tries to engage 4wd lo. At low speeds it has engaged to 4wd lo. At higher speeds it has engaged 4wd lock and has shifted to neutral. Dealerships have replaced the actuator, said it was the tipm, and said it was an ac relay pressure switch. The problem still happens as of 12/24/14. Has been to 5 diff. Dodge dealerships. This is an intermittent problem and may not happen for 6 months. 4wd lo light flashes and serv 4wd light comes on. Different service codes come up when dealerships look at it. I have been the only owner of this truck. *js

2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Transfer case partially locks in causing right front tire to lock up. Four wheel drive does not engage fully. This can be caused by the electronic transfer case motor. This was observed at a speed of 30 miles per hour and lower. Have seen many complaints on internet about this failure. Have only 52000 miles on vehicle and four wheel drive rarely used. Vehicle becomes undrivable because four wheel drive will not fully disengage. Shifting into 4x4 mode at higher speeds could cause vehicle to veer to the right and off of road causing a crash. These faulty transfer case motors have been a problem on different model years. *tr

Front end vibrates when in four wheel drive and accelerating fast. Dodge dealership states its normal on truck (basically it wasn't built right but Dodge doesn't care). Showed me another 07 Ram 1500 did the same thing. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram. The contact stated that the vehicle would not shift into overdrive. While driving less than 65 MPH, the contact would engage the cruise control and whatever gear he would shift into would cause the vehicle to get less gas mileage. In addition, the motor would run faster than normal. The dealer stated that if he would manipulate the foot pedal, the overdrive would engage. The dealer also stated that the vehicle was operating in the manner it was designed. The failure and current mileages were less than 8,800. Updated 1/6/09 *cn the consumer stated the transmission would drop out of drive and the engine speed went up instead of down. Updated 01/14/09. *jb

The blend door actuators that control where the heating or cooling is directed, or determining hot or cold, are faulty and fail at no particular time. This can cause no heat to defrost windows which ultimately will lead to vehicle accidents. The Dodge dealership I spoke to about the issue laughed at me and commented that they fix at least 2 trucks per week with this issue, costing approximately $1000. The part to fix the issue cost under $20 each, but the entire dash must be pulled out of the vehicle to perform the repairs. If you research this issue, like I have, you will see this issue has been happening since about 1996. I have filed a complaint before and I am going to continue to do so until someone holds Chrysler responsible for their actions. When the issue happened to me, I was dr

After the fuel tank is completely filled and the gas station refueling pump stops about a half a gallon of gasoline will violently spray out of the vehicle's refueling tube. This creates a puddle of fuel and often sprays on me. The spray comes out of the hole you insert the refueling nozzle into. I owed a 2006 Dodge durango with the same engine that had the exact same issue. I'm sure this is a common issue with this manufacturer.

Every time I fill the tank with gas the gas blows out.of the filler. This problem has persisted since the truck was new.

Multifunction switch malfunction on 2007 Dodge ran 1500. Turn signal signals wrong direction on occasion (based on first experience this gets worse with time) and windshield wipers do not function properly. The turn signal issue causes a significant hazard when you intend to turn or change lanes one direction and your turn signal is indicating the opposite of your intention. The windshield wiper issue causes a safety hazard when they fail to operate in the rain. Had the switch replaced in 2008 or 2009 around 30k miles and it is now failing again at 59,000 miles. *tr

Cannot add fuel to vehicle tank. Stops after a few seconds. Service department knocked the plastic ball into the tank (thinking this would work, it didn't) that stops gas siphoning. Still cannot fill tank. Truck has 91,000 miles and have always put the same gas (93 octane) . *tr
