Brakes are mushy after the anti-lock brakes engage. This happened before, months ago, and the mushy feeling went away in a few days. The problem just happened again and the brakes are still mushy a day later. The first time was due to snow on the road. The second time due to moss and rain on a gravel driveway on a steep hill.

My son was driving the car in the city. He went over a speed bump at slow speed and as soon as he came off the speed bump, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. He was able to pump the brakes to stop the car. He got out and checked for leaks or other problems and found none. He tested the brakes driving slowly and they seemed to be working fine, so he drove it home. We had it checked by our mechanic but they couldn't find any problems. *tr

While driving down a city road this morning at 40 MPH, I applied the brakes as I approached the intersection. There was a red light and I was unable to decelerate normally or completely stop. The brake pedal depressed completely to the floor and I had very little control. I pumped the brakes feverishly. The brake pedal was very soft and hit the floor quickly. If it had not been so early in the morning, I would have been in an accident. Though I was able to slow my speed, I was not able to stop in time. I had to roll through the red light and turn right. This is not the first time this has happened. It happened before on the highway in rainy, inclement weather. The traffic was slow and I was able to avoid hitting the car in front of me. I attributed this to wet, slippery road co

Takata recall. I just received my third letter about this recall with the warning: until remedy parts become available, do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. Why is something of this importance taking so long to rectify?

Takata recall... In my own words, the nhtsb is not doing its job. Takata filed for us bankruptcy protection. This recall has been active for 18+ months without a fix. Why isn't Ford motor company being held accountable and forced to invest enough resources to immediately remedy this potentially fatal issue? *js

I wanted to file my complaint on the brakes. I have had this vehicle since 8/07 and have had a few mechanics check the brakes. If I hit my brakes going over a bump they will go straight to the floor. Most times it takes a couple hours for the brakes to return to normal. I have had many close calls; with the last one hitting the brakes and not knowing a bump was there, I had to swerve to keep from running into the back of another vehicle. This issue with the brakes has been going on continuous . Received recall letter for tarkata airbags still not had them repaired
