Takata recall - received a notice from Ford that remedy parts for airbag inflator replacement will be delayed until spring of 2018. In the meantime, do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. Big problem for us as this is our only vehicle and we must have a two-seater vehicle every day. Dealership refuses to provide a loaner or rental.

My truck is essentially unusable as a family vehicle because I don't want my passenger to die... Takata recall. Received recall notice in march 2017, yet Ford claims no parts to fix it yet some 9 months later.
I received NHTSA recall number 16v384 ; manufacturer recall number 16s26. I have not heard from Ford on how/when this can be rectified free of charge.
Received the recall notice in march 2017. Contacted corwin Ford to schedule replacement, was told it would be a couple of weeks, but they scheduled an appointment date and when we arrived to have the air bags replaced, we were told they didn't have any in stock and wouldn't until august or september 2017. We called again in august, they said wouldn't have the replacement air bags until december 2017. We have called corwin Ford at the end of november and they claim now that they don't know anything about air bag replacements or that they are even getting them. We have had to drive this vehicle for work purposes. It doesn't look like the dealer is even remotely interested in getting the air bags replaced.
