2007 GMC Sierra visibility problems

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about an owner that may request to have a different style mirror installed on their vehicle or request a different mirror before they purchase the vehicle. Swapping mirrors on vehicles equipped with Side Blind Zone Alert, Regular Production Option Code UFT, is not recommended. On other vehicles tech will need to verify if the vehicle is equipped with door modules or not. On vehicles with door modules technician will need to contact Techline Customer Support for new calibrations for both doors. On vehicles not equipped with door modules no calibrations are needed.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles that have windows inoperative while the engine is running but work when the engine is off. Technician should look for aftermarket parts and remove them and retest the windows before any in depth diagnostics are performed.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have passenger window express down feature is inoperative. Technician should be advised that models equipped with either Memory Seats Regular Production Option Code (AN3) and/or Power Folding Mirrors Regular Production Option Code (DL3) will have the passenger window express down feature. Dealer should advised the customer if the vehicle does not have one of the Regular Production Option Codes AN3 and or DL3, this is a normal operating characteristic.
