Air bag light is on with code b1517, and b1448. Shop is unable to determine whether airbag will deploy or not. How many people have to complain about the same issue before something is done about it? I've read multiple complaints over the same issue. If an air bag doesn't deploy that could most definitely be fatal.

The air bag light is in and won't go off. I am worried the system won't work in an accident & also concerned that their has not been a recall on the airbags that have injured others when deployed
Same problem as others. "air bag" warning stays lighted no matter what. Research shows that people are discovering that it's the passenger seat sensor and that the repair is $1000. They have recalled this same part on sonatas (same year) but not he accents. We're told that none of the air bags work if this light is on. Please help!
Car was in an accident and the air bag(s) did not deploy. The was major front end damage done to the vehicle. The accident resulted in some bodily injury that required medical attention. I had spoken to the police officer on the scene, my doctor in the emergency room and the mechanic at the auto body shop and they all said there was no reason that the air bags should not have deployed. *tr

Regarding NHTSA reference # 1088179: my air bag light started staying on around february 2017. I made appointment on phone with only Hyundai certified service dealer near my home 3-2017and drove to chico (70 miles away). They said it must be battery and charged me for a new battery. I called them around april 1, 2017 telling them light was still coming on and they said I would have to buy a whole new seat and system, no safety issue recognized by Hyundai, therefore I would be responsible to entire cost regardless of safety issues. I called Hyundai usa which gave me a case # 1012618 but said there is no recall on file with Hyundai and I could file a complaint with NHTSA. I am sending them a copy of what I am filing with you. I looked up other Hyundai accent 2007 complaints and Hyundai said

Hyundai commerce sold me vehicle that has not passed smog yet and or the 90-day extension has expired. They never bother to mention that at the time of purchase. They put brand new tires onmy car 2 week after I purchased it. I blew a tire on the freeway on november 5 2014. The tire shoul d be less than 3 months old. My side mirrors do not work they do not rotate correctly. Therefore making it difficult to see out of at times. They said they replaced the motor but they are still not working. They said they fixed the alignment howver the car is still sliding to the right. They have not helped to correct their error and are pushing the car onto me and making it my problem. As a first time car buyer they used aggressive and intimatiion tactics to try and scare me. Please help. *tr

visibility 2 complaints shown
Normal use of sun visor leads to the plastic cracking around the internal support bar. The sun visor slowly starts failing to stay in the full upright position and then eventually will not stay at all. The sun visor will fall to the full down position in the driver's view. The only way to correct the failure is to remove the sun visor completely and replace the entire apparatus. Both the drivers and passenger sun visors are broken. *tr
Passenger seat sun visor broke. By 'broke' I mean that the internal spring mechanism to keep it folded up failed so it now flops down into the line of sight and interferes with visibility. It cannot be folded back up out of visibility, it just keeps flopping straight down. Judging from comments on forums, this is an extremely common problem with Hyundai sedans, and is a big safety hazard, especially if it happens to the driver side visor, because of how it can suddenly fail and interfere with visibility. *tr
