I purchased a 2007 Jeep liberty in 2008. In october 2009, the window regulator (the control mechanism that allows my window to go up or down) on my rear driver side window broke. I had it diagnosed by the car dealer I purchased the vehicle from who wired the base of the window to the door frame temporarily to protect the interior from the elements. My warranty expired because I was over on the mileage. I took it to charlies in augusta, maine who stated it is not on recall, therefore I would be required to have them diagnose the problem for a fee before they would fix it. Then the repair would cost approximately $300. Then in december, 2009 the front driver side window regulator broke. Again, the car dealer I purchased the vehicle from wired the base of the window to the door frame, a

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Jeep liberty. In october of 2009 the left rear passenger window regulator failed. She took the vehicle to the dealer, and the technician adjusted the base to the door frame with a wire as a temporary repair. On december of 2009 the driver-side door window regulator also failed. The vehicle was out of warrant, so the estimated cost for the repair was $300.00. There was a new re-designed regulator that cost $357.00. The manufacturer took a report 19184879. The failure mileage was 80,000. The current mileage was 90,000.
All of my power windows have fallen into the door at one point or another over the past year and a half. Jeep has fixed this issue each time, but they fix the issue with the same parts that are defective so it is inevitable that it will happen again. This is clearly faulty craftsmanship and needs to be recalled by the manufacturer. *tr
Driver's window began to slide almost immediately after purchase in dec. 2008. Back passenger window stuck about 2 inches down and then suddenly came crashing down while I was on the interstate. It nearly scared me to death! The back window is in the door. We try to keep the window covered and are not currently driving the vehicle because we can't afford the repair right now. Occasionally the wind pulls the protective covering off, and we have rain stains on the seats as a result. My understanding is they no longer make this regulator because it is faulty, so the glass have to be replaced also with the new regulator at a cost of about $500 per window. This is crazy for the consumer to have to pay for a faulty product. I have contacted Jeep, but they do not seem concerned.
This issue is regarding my Jeep liberty '07 window regulator. Driving from work and I decided to open my rear passenger window and it made a cracking noise. I immediately stopped the button from opening the window further. I tried to close it again but it is just stuck there. This is the 3rd time that I had this problem and always that same window. The prior event was when it just stopped moving and a few seconds after that the glass window just dropped inside the door. *tr

The filler neck in failing on my Jeep liberty 2007 and it is a safety issue! When I fill up my tank with gas, the automatic shut off occurs and when I remove the nozzle, gas spits back at me. At first it would happen after the tank was full, now it is happening after only filling up 2 gal (when on empty!).
Jeep is refusing to provide or manufacture the trailer hitch required to protect the fuel tank!
Everytime I fill the gas tank, it does not shut off when the fuel reaches the nozzle. The gas shoots out and runs down the car. It has got on my clothes and is very dangerous. This needs to be fixed. I hope you can get the problem addressed soon. *tr

Lower ball joint broke from corrosion. This is recalled on 02-06 models but not 07. However, my Jeep was manufactured in 2006. I was pulling into my driveway and felt something break below me. As I pulled further in I felt a grinding noise. Had I been driving faster I would have wrecked my car.
Vehicle was driving normally and was in motion going straight leaving a parking lot and the front suspension lower control arm just broke without warning due to corrosion. The right side of the control arm landed onto the wheel making it so the right front wheel could no longer turn. I'm glad it happened to me in a parking lot and not on the highway or I could have been seriously injured.

They've replaced master cylinder, ABS sensor,ABS motor, brake lines(front and rear) check calipers and brake pads (both in good working condition) and still can't get brake pedal to apply when first pressing on it. No modifications have been done. Jeep is out of mileage warranty - 69,000 miles and I have to pay for all repairs. *tr

Been over 30 days since vehicle was inspected for a recall that requires installing a tow hitch. Manufacturer will not provide an ETA for parts however I can go thru various other methods to obtain parts needed within a few days. Seems like manufacturer is stalling and not wanting to fix issue.

The passenger air bag warning light deployed or illuminated for an unknown reason and has remained on through the evening. In 2010 I purchased a used 2007 Jeep liberty from a dealership. Within the first month of the purchase the mechanism inside the front driver's side door broke causing the window to drop into the door rendering it unusable. I took the vehicle back to the dealership and they repaired the mechanism for free. In 2012 the same mechanism in the same door broke again. This time I was told that this is a common occurrence but was forced to pay for the repair myself as Jeep has not yet recalled the mechanism. Yesterday, december 21, 2013 the mechanism broke again this time in the front passenger side door. I have called the dealership again but have not yet scheduled a time to fix the unit. I do not feel as if I should have to pay for this repair as it is an on-going issue and obviously a defective
