An issue occurs with the power steering assist, the power steering malfunction warning light will illuminate, and the car will require more physical effort to steer. This happens in very unsafe conditions while driving. I then turn the car off and I am able to steer again for about 2-3 min before this happens again. I called Mazda and they are saying my VIN is not part of the recall #60108 when clearly this is the same problem that the mazdas were having with 2007/08 models. I've called Mazda and they will not honor this recall.

2007 mazda5 excessive tire wear and alignment/steering issues @ 27k miles. Have had approx. 10 alignments including a subframe alignment with no success. Have been forced to replace all tires twice due to tire wire on inner edges. Car steers to the right requiring steering wheel to held 2 degrees to the left while operating at all speeds. If steering wheel is released car will drift and then steer itself to the right. The tire wear results in cords showing on inner edge of tires before outer edge have any noticeable wear. Extremely unsafe vehicle due to possible tire failure 48,000 mile earlier than normal repair time. *tr

Referring to a december 18, 2006 recall NHTSA campaign id number: 06v463000. Regarding a problem with the sliding door coming open when driving during cold weather. My vehicle has this problem which is gradually becoming worse as time goes by. Mazda says my VIN # was not included so they will not fix it under the recall. If that is the case and they were aware of the problem when my vehicle was manufactured, am I not correct in assuming that this modification should have be rectified before the vehicle was sold. I think Mazda should be liable to include my vehicle in as part of this recall. I live in utah. *tr

There is major leaking from multiple unknown sources, one place the water hides is in the spare tire wheel well and it was not evident at first as to why the car was molding on the inside. It has terrible microbial growth that is evident and I can only imagine what I cant see. The car to my knowledge has never been in any accident to cause this. Had the heater core replaced because I was told that could be a reason why there is water in floor , it was replaced and I was informed that there was nothing wrong with the original one.. That was a year ago, and it has only gotten worse . When it rains the car is soaked even when the water that is in the wheel well is sucked up... I have seen other similar complaints online, I just don't know what to do . I have children one that has autism and a

On multiple occasions now when water gets into the door (car wash, melted snow, etc.) and then temperature drops, ice inside the latch mechanism prevents the door from latching properly. The door will only relatch when the ice is melted, otherwise it will close most of the way but the door ajar light remains on since it is not properly latched. There have been times where the light goes off and we think it is properly latched only to see the light come back on again while driving. *tr

We purchased our 2007, Mazda 5 new in jan. 2007 from a local dealership. At a little over 9,000 miles the car began to hesitate and we returned to the dealership for the first service to "fix" the problem. To fast forward, here we are dec. 31st, 2011 and now we are dealing with not only hesitation and stalling, but now the car actually "bucks" while driving it only adding to the dangers of driving it. This is a well documented problem as we have continued to return it the same dealership each time only to be told it was "fixed". This has become a safety concern, and a financial woe. Why the lack of concern by Mazda and other agencies that know of this problem but have not made Mazda admit the problem and recall these cars before someone is killed. Not everyone is in the position to just

Check engine light came on the night before. The next morning my wife went to run an errand before going to check the car out at the dealership, but she only got about 13 miles when the engine blew out and started smoking. The vehicle had approx 56k miles and the engine should have been covered under warranty, but the dealership states that it was not covered anymore because we ran the vehicle that morning with the check engine light on. The dealership stated that the engine was completely blown and that it overheated. They state that there was no coolant in it. There was no prior leak in the coolant, and the coolant was checked and refilled only 2 weeks prior. We would have noticed a coolant leak on our driveway. *tr

Mazda5 sport wagon equipped with toyo 205 50 r17 tires. Left front tire delaminated at approximately 40,000 miles. Thought this was an anomaly. Left rear tire delaminated at 40,900 miles. Both occurred at about 55 -60 miles an hour on paved highways. One delamination was at the juncture of the side wall and surface the other approximately 2 inches on the right surface. Delamination was about a 1/2 inch wide, entire circumference of the tire and was down to the wire reinforcement. Both tires had sufficient tread to meet safety requirements and were properly inflated. I have sent an email to Mazda customer service suggesting that they do a recall. I have the left rear tire in my possession. *tr

After just 24,000 miles, I had to replace the tires on my 2007 mazda5 due to "cupping." with just 5,000 miles on the new tires, the same thing is happening again. When I contacted Mazda regarding this, I was told it was a "design flaw" , and that if I didn't like the noise and the vibration from the tires, then I would just have to replace them frequently. This is not acceptable, due to the safety issues of driving on bad tires. I also can't afford $700.00+ a year for new tires. If it is a "design flaw", then Mazda should be responsible for fixing this issue. When my car was in for service at the dealer last week, I was told it had a vibration at about 60 miles/hour, and that I should get it aligned. Took it to a local garage, and was told it was not out of alignment. Vibration was n
