2007 Nissan 350Z owner complaints

I experienced a safety related issue with my car. While I was driving, shifting from 1st to 2nd gear at about 6,000rpm and the clutch pedal stuck on the floor and it took an unusually long amount of time for it to return to the rest position. The clutch pedal was "stuck" on the floor of the car for about 2 seconds, when it should have been immediate. *tr

Multiple clutch/transmission issues. Issue involves the clutch pedal sinking to the floor and loosing nearly all, or all of its pressure. Clutch fails to return to normal until the car sits until cool. First incident was during normal driving; while going through a interception a car ran the red light, when I downshifted to a lower gear to more, the clutch failed to hold the gear and fell to the floor, the other car managed to stopped but I was idle in the road unable to move. Second incident involved traffic going up a local bridge crossing the mississippi river. The clutch again gave out after a few mins of stop and go. In traffic I am embarrassed as everyone looks around to see where the noise is coming from...I know some noise is common but this noise goes over the radio at a high volume, this cant be normal or safe sounds like its going to crack in half... *tr

I love my 2007 Nissan 350z, but since the day I bought it has had grinding noise .I suspect it's the throw out bearing or the pilot bearing on the transmission. Nissan refuses to do anything on my new car, and im afraid I will get stuck on the road in my Nissan again. *tr please help kris

1) I purchased a brand new 2007 350z, and after 1,700 miles the clutch pedal began to stick to the floor and lose pressure, the only way to get it back was to put your foot under the pedal and push up on it. This happened to me about 20 times, and in various conditions (highway/city). While in rush hour traffic my clutch pedal stuck to the floor causing the car to fill with smoke and rendering the car temporally inoperable after a few minutes I pumped the pedal and was able to continue home. I did my research and figured out that there was a problem with the slave cylinder, or the clutch fluid, because I had run into people with the same problems. I then took my car to the dealership, and they had told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong. During heavy traffic or moderate acceleration, my 2007 Nissan 350z clutch pedal will fall to the floor, causing the car to lose power to the wheels. The first incident was reported to sutherlin Nissan at 1,500 miles, and the clutch slave cylinder was replaced under warranty at 11,500 miles. Within one day after getting the car back, the same problem showed up, during a traffic jam. The problem was reported again, and after 8,500 miles and several complaints to the dealer, and finally Nissan of north america, the car is in the shop again. The dealer refused to try and fix the vehicle again until I filed a complaint with Nissan of north america. This time the problem became so severe, you could not drive the car in moderate to heavy traffic, without the fear of losing the clutch pedal pressu

I have a 2007 Nissan 350 z and during highway driving the clutch stick to the bottom disable me from shifting and stay on gear and it get hard to stop because the car is on gear. I took it to the dealer but they cannot recreate the problem because only happen sometimes. *tr

The car was driving normally and gave no signs to any type of pending failure. The 2007 350z model year has some form of clutch deficiency. The clutch sometimes drops to the floor requiring it to be pumped up but can lead to stalling the engine or being stranded in traffic. My problem caused me to be stranded on the road in traffic until the clutch regained pressure and let me drive on. The problem is that after the initial failure the clutch randomly seems to lose pressure and causes it to be very difficult to shift into gear without slipping. The dealer claimed that they couldn't reproduce the problem and also claimed that there was no previous history of a problem although there are numerous documented cases of the problem. *tr

My 24 year old daughter had just came off the on ramp and began merging onto highway 99 northbound when she heard a loud bang and felt her car drop as if she had a flat tire, as she began pulling off the freeway making her way to the shoulder she saw her tire pass her up and continue down the freeway where it continued alone for about 100 yards and by sheer luck ended up along the guard railing and did not cause any accidents or injuries as many have reported happened to them. Her passenger side rear wheel broke off leaving the center of the wheel and 5 lug nuts remaining, the entire center of the wheel remained on the car, all 5 wheel spokes were broken off due to cracking, I inspected her remaining wheels and found them all ready to fail evidencing cracks on most wheel spokes

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 Nissan 350z. While driving approximately 10 MPH the contact heard a grinding noise coming in the front passenger side. The contact drove onto the emergency lane and noticed that the front passenger side wheel between the axle and the tire was broken. The other wheels were also cracked. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be repaired. The VIN was unavailable. The approximate failure mileage was 46,800.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 Nissan 350z. The contact noticed that the rear driver's side tire would excessively vibrate. He also noticed that the vehicle would sporadically drift without warning. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they repaired the hub assembly. Several weeks after the repair, the failure recurred on the front passenger tire. He took the vehicle to a local repair shop and the mechanic stated that the bearing needed to be replaced. The contact is in the process of taking the vehicle to the dealer. The failure mileage was 7,000 and current mileage was 8,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Nissan 350z. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check air bag warning indicator illuminated for both the driver and passenger side air bags. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on previous occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 106,000.

The passenger airbag light comes on due to a faulty sensor in the seat. This is a known problem yet my VIN number is not identified in the Nissan recall data base.

The electric cooling fan has now failed 2 times. The first time happened six weeks after the expiration of the recall which the dealer did not honor. The replacement failed one year and one month after installation.
