Car was giving acceleration problems. Two days later I was in traffic and car wouldn't go past 10 MPH. I was able to pull over just out of the way of speeding traffic. I had to turn the car off then back on for it to start and slowly shift gears. Still was only able to go up to 15mph at first, almost got into an accident because of my location. Once I kept going it started to speed up to normal speed. Immediately I called Nissan, but before I was able to get to them my car failed to start. I was sent the recall letter in 2012 for my make/model/year. Not right because by that time I received the letter I had already gone over the mileage. Even if I was within mileage how can you make the buyer pay up to $3000 dollars for a manufacture defect. One problem is starting to lead to another. Firs

Car started to shudder when driving, heater would get cold when car was sitting, vibrations when driving. Garage said radiator cracked and leaked fluid into transmission fluid and destroyed engine. *tr
Transmission went out going down the road. Stuck in overdrive. *tr
Pathfinder started hesitating at 40 MPH regardless of city or highway driving, had transmission fluid changed and was advised by my mechanic there is a leak from radiator into transmission line, have since then seen transmission fluid a milky color and I cannot drive vehicle with overdrive on, when it drove with od on at about 40 MPH there is no shifting of gears. *tr
My wife was driving with kids in the vehicle when power in the transmission when to nothing then sporadically started working and not. She intelligently was able to avoid an accident and get the vehicle to a side road in a boat ramp parking area where the vehicle would not run in any gear. I was called and made aware of the situation and called my parents to pick then up for this was our only vehicle of transportation. After work my dad, uncle and I had the vehicle towed to our home where it has set since. Due to finding out that Nissan already had a class action lawsuit over this and the ruling with the mileage on my vehicle does not fall into any compensation or assistance to be fixed though the vehicle is only six years old. Just don't understand how transmission failure on a busy road
I bought my 07 pathfinder in july and the dealership had done repair on the radiator at their expense, and replaced the coolant and tranny fluids and stated there was no cross contamination. However, the vehicle stopped shifting properly and we couldn't tell if it was the tranny, ABS, or 4wd getting caught. As of yesterday the tranny wouldn't change gears. Restarting the car helped. But since there was no recall there is no history of any other work. All maintenance was kept up with the same dealership for the majority of the vehicles life. After the vehicle has been at a stop, and moved to accelerate it wouldn't go into gear/drive then all of a sudden would ?catch? And would launch.
When driving aprx 40-45 MPH, transmission sounds as if I was hitting rumble strips. I lose power. I have been told it could be due to a coolant leak into the transmission. After reviewing this site, I noticed many other problems and an investigation started almost a year ago....please get this defect recalled!!! *tr
The entire transmission melted without warning. The car could not move on reverse and only going 20mph. *tr

Transmission failure from radiator fluid leakage into the transmission fluid. The cooling system for the transmission runs through the radiator. When the radiator fails radiator fluid leaks into the tranny fluid and destroys the internal transmission clutch plates and torque converter. Nissan extended the warranty from 36k to 80k miles or 8 years on the radiator, knowing there was a problem, but no notice from them to owners of this problem. When the problem starts, it is too late, resulting in $6800 - $7500 in personal expenses to replace the transmission and radiator. Nissan will not consider fixing after 80k miles. I have 127000 and only 5 years old vehicle. This problem was acknowledged to affect 2005 - 2010 pathfinders. There are hundreds of complaints on this issue on forums, which I
The check engine light stays on the car. Also, the fuel delivery system has become a significant hazard in the car. The pathfinder's gasoline gauge indicates that it is half full, but suddenly the yellow light comes on to indicate the car is empty. This is a significant hazard while on the highway and there are times where a gas station may not be easily accessible. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the radiator had an internal crack that leaked fluid into the transmission, causing damage to the components. As a result, the transmission and the radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 124,000.

I was on expressway, driving approximately 60-65 miles per hour and without warning car lost all its ability to accelerate or maintain speed. Car engine would rev when you pressed on the accelerator but the car would not respond. Vehicles behind me had to hit on there brakes and go around me as I attempted to steer vehicle to the side of the expressway. Once vehicle came to a stop, my transmission would not engage in any gear leaving me stranded. I had to have vehicle towed to my home. I was informed by Nissan that engine coolant had leaked into my transmission and ruined my transmission. I have since found out this is a common problem on Nissan pathfinders and the cost to repair vehicle is between 4 and 5 thousand dollars. *tr
The vehicle vibrated and shuttered and ceased to move. I was in traffic and luckily had a place to pull over. I had the vehicle towed to the local Nissan dealership. After a discussion and diagnosis by the technician and shop foreman it was determined that the transmission and the radiator had crossed contamination of fluids resulting in the transmission becoming inoperable and requiring the transmission and radiator be replaced. The shop foreman stated that Nissan knew about this defect in the radiator and the resulting problems. I am waiting to find out if Nissan will help with repair cost. I was told by the shop foreman that the cost to replace the transmission and radiator would be approximately $8,000.00. . *tr

Fuel sending unit bad trouble code 0463. Filled gas tank at 1/4 to full. Started car gauge read a little above 1/4 tank of gas. Gauge went up slowly to about 1/2 then suddenly dropped to 0(empty). *tr
I have not had this 2007 pathfinder a year yet. I told the man that sold me the car that I was having this fuel issue where, the gauge just drops down and you think you are out of gas. He told me to just wait until my warranty kick in. Low and behold we brought it back and they said the warranty did not cover it. There are Nissan that have been recall for this issue. Baker Nissan knew what the problem was and sold me the car without servicing it properly like they promise me. Now the light is on cause the problem is still there. Why do company do customer like that it is such a shame to live in such a greedy world where people care only for themselves. I hope that the Nissan company is not this way because peoples lives are at stake driving unsafe vehicles because you don't choose
