Sometime in april 2019 all of a sudden all the buttons switches in the steering wheel including cruise control; radio volume radio stations; the horn all stopped working without notice, also the air bag light began flashing. I asked the mechanic about that and he said lot if nissans have that problem. He said I might need to get the combination switch?
I had a accident driving down a busy highway and I was struck from behind forcing my car into the car in front of me. The air bag never imploded.

The contact's vehicle crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was totaled and towed to a tow yard. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. I found while researching an issue on my Nissan sentra 2007 that there was a recall on the master cylinder in 2008 because the same issue that just happened to me could happen. I never received a recall notification and apparently I was not on the list but my brake light came on and I had the maintenance shop check my brakes they said my pads were fine. That I was probably having an issue with the warning light. 2 weeks ago I got in my car and when I went to brake I had to push my foot all the way to the ground. I eventually made my way to my local firestone and had them check my brakes only tho find that the master cylinder and the boosters needed to be replaced. When they pulled them they said they were full of brake fluid. That is why I had no brakes. This is the exact issue listed in t
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 Nissan sentra. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for routine maintenance and informed them that the brakes were not working properly. The dealer stated that the vehicle did not have an ABS recall and it was not covered under the warranty. On november 5, 2008, while driving approximately 30 MPH, the brakes failed when the contact attempted to stop. She swerved and crashed the front end into another vehicle. Two occupants were injured. A report was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign id number 08v311000 (service brakes, hydraulic: foundation components: master cylinder). The manufacturer will send an investigator to the contact's home. The failure and current mileages were 1,063. Updated 12/11/
My wife was involved in an accident last night in our 2007 Nissan sentra, she rearended the car in front of her that stopped short, she slammed on the brakes when it happened and there was no response(the car didn't slow down at all) and the air bags did not go off, she hit the car in front of her between 30-40 MPH, and she hit her head on the steering wheel, luckily there was no severe injuries, but in contacting Nissan they didn't seem to care to much(expected that they aren't going to take any blame) but when I contacted the dealership they told me the car needs to be checked out to see why this happened. *tr

My brake light came on 2 months after I bought my car in 5/2007. I called the dealer in glenside and was told to "check the fluid". My concern was this being a new car and lights were blinking on the dashboard such as low tire gauge and brake signals. When fluid was added the light did go out. In 8/2007 I made a trip to v.a. And had a hard time stopping in the jammed up stop and go traffic around washington. An accident would have occurred had I not pulled off the side of the road. Again in 9/2007 my light came on. I reported the incident when I went for routine maintenance and was told it was resolved. My concern is I knew these occurrences were not appropriate for a new car. I was disregarded with my concerns by the dealer I bought the car from, so who I am to trust with the "inspe
Tires are incompatible with winter weather driving. Car slides and drifts making it unable to safely handle, and dangerous as vehicles constantly attempt to pass .this is unacceptable for a six month old car. *tr
False illumination of the low tire pressure light. Light will illuminate randomly and the dealer cannot fix it. It has been brought in 4 times in the last 4 months for it and they won't do anything. It is to the point where when the light comes on, I don't believe it. *tr
engine 2 complaints shown
I drove the 2007 Nissan sentra for about 7 months with almost no issues except the "check engine light was on." I took it to the deal for the scheduled maintenances and had regular oil changes, and used premium gas. While driving on the highway going about 60mph, the car stalled and caught on fire. I was not able to pull over. It was a very traumatic experience. Recently I have received a recall notice concerning the brake fluid leak. I know that fluid and electricity do not mix, so it may very well have been the cause of the fire. *tr
On two occasions while making right turns, the engine failed to operate. The first occurrence, the engine restarted and appeared to operate normally. The second occurrence, the engine failed to restart and the vehicle was towed to Nissan maintenance where it was determined that the battery was leaking acid, which was ingested in to the air intake, destroying the air filter and causing severe contamination of the spark plugs and fuel injector system, as well as corrosive damage to the framing. Had this engine failed on the freeway, it would have jeopardized the lives of the occupants. Action is being addressed with the battery manufacturer, but this report is implemented to address the poor design of the vehicle which placed the battery above the air intake, without provisions for containme

The car is 3yrs old and the exhaust pipe has detached underneath the car approximately by the rear axel and is now resting on top of the rear wheel base. The flange which connects the front exhaust to the rear exhaust assembly has completely corroded and disintegrated.
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
The driver's seat-belt on this Nissan sentra cannot be applied when parked on a hill. There are only solutions that work: place the seat-belt over the steering wheel when parking, and remembering to sit-back down without allowing the belt to return to the unused position when buckling back up. The other solution is to drive without wearing your seat-belt until you reach a surface flat enough that the seat-belt mechanism disengages enough to allow you to buckle up. Obviously, both solutions are unrealistic and represent a real safety risk for motorists. Many motorists may give up and assume the seat-belt is broken if they see this.
electrical 1 complaint shown
The car ran fine, until one day the electrical system seemed to die (all the lights on the dash illuminated) and the car seemed to lock itself up. The power steering stopped functioning and made it hard to drive. After pulling over to restart it, it would not. At first I thought it may be the battery, but when I took it to the dealer they were unable to figure out the exact problem. It's been nearly a week since the problem started and no resolution yet. I chose to report this because when the car began to malfunction it became very unsafe to operate. Since I was in a fairly residential area it wasn't hard for me to pull over and get help, but had I been on a major roadway I could see this problem being potentially disastrous. I also feel that this problem needs to be more closely looked a
suspension 1 complaint shown
My 2007 Nissan sentra was pulling hard to the left with brand new tires just installed the day before, so I brought the car to the dealership after two alignments had been performed with no change in the handling or pulling of the car. It was divulged after a day of diagnostics that the car had a bent rear axle replaced in april of 2009. From the factory it was conveyed that my particular model had the wrong axle installed on it and many other vehicles from my model year were affected. The car left the shop and was no longer pulling. Gradually my alignment began to worsen and since the incident I had it redone 4 times since april. The final time I told the dealership to keep the car because something must be wrong and they did two days worth of test to rule out tire wear and other pro
