Tacata recall the dealer could not fix the issue (could not put a new airbag) they didnt have an airbag
Takata recall- I received an important safety recall notice from Nissan regarding the airbags and have taken the advisement of possible passenger death very seriously. I need the car for daily transportation though am not able to drive with passengers in the front seat, limiting what I am able to do with the car. Nissan has been non responsive with me at both the dealer level and at their national consumer affairs level and I am not able to get a time estimate as to when the parts will be available for repair.
Takata recall: local Nissan dealership (sandy sansing Nissan, pensacola florida) was contacted by us several times over the past 4 months, requesting information on this recall. We were told the part to repair the airbag is not available and won't be until spring 2018. When I called again today, I was told the same thing, but also told by the Nissan serviceman, "this is a voluntary recall by Nissan, done out of an abundance of caution. Nothing to worry about." I asked him if it was the airbag recall that had been in the press for the past few years for takata and he said, "no. This is a different part - just replacing the inflators and isn't anything to worry about. There is no threat to life or well being of drivers or passengers." I asked if he would call me when the parts are availab
My car seat belts are not working properly on the passenger side and my air bags warning lights are flashing. I contacted Nissan north america and asked them about any recalls for this car and they said no. However, I went on -line to several websites, such as www.internetautoguide.com and found that they are recalls on my 2007 Nissan versa 4door hatchback since june 18, 2007 due to a manufacturing process with regards to the terminals for the passenger side seat belt tension sensor harness connector which results in a loss of electrical continuity causing the occupant detection system to become inoperative. The consequence: if this occurs, the air bags warning light will come on the passenger side frontal air bag will be suppressed. Please advise. Additionally, I purchased the car new
Takata air bag recall, being charged to fix!! I have 2 airbag recalls. I've had a rental for 3 months while awaiting parts (expected spring 2018) on 12/19/07, adam ruehman, (service advisor) calls me & tells me he's getting "screamed at" because I've had the rental so long. He said that he had my airbag ready. I asked him if he had both, because that was strange. I called Nissan headquarters who confirmed that they did not have both airbags, only one. That I can take my car to fix one & keep the rental until they got the other one. I had to work so I had to wait until the morning. The next day,12/20, adam calls me telling me again, that they have both parts. Nissan hq calls again & tells me now, that the service dept said that they do have parts for both airbags. I bring my car in & adam t
Takata recall. Nissan sent a notice months ago saying they would notify us when they had parts on the inflator/airbag repair. Until then we were not to use the passenger front seat. They have not given us one single update! It has been over a year and we have heard nothing! There is no excuse for such customer treatment. I called Nissan today after several transfers and was told that maybe they would have some parts during the first quarter of 2017. Shouldn't our government fine these car companies? Where is our congress and senators on these types of safety issues? Hiding in the weeds? Collecting their fat salaries? They are laying it all off on takata...however, takata is one of Nissan's suppliers. Why isn't Nissan held accountable and required to recall the cars and pa
Takata recall on november 9th I brought my versa into the dealer and they performed the recall, replacing the passenger airbag. However, some of the things that they said and did made me suspicious that perhaps they did not actually perform the work or replace the old airbag. Sometime in early 2016 I received a letter from Nissan informing me of the passenger airbag recall and telling me not to allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat, and to wait until I got a second letter when the part was available. In early november, I had already been waiting for many months for this second letter from Nissan, but the letter never came and still has not come. So I called my dealer on november 8th to see if perhaps the second letter had been lost in the mail, and if the part was now av

Takata recall the passenger airbag NHTSA recall number 16v-349 was posted on may of 2016, and we are still awaiting parts and notification from Nissan! The driver airbag NHTSA recall number 17v-449 was posted in july 17, and again we are still waiting for parts. This is unacceptable, given the potential risk involved.
Takata recall: I have a recall letter NHTSA recall 16v-349 more than half a year ago. Despite numerous calls to the Nissan consumer affairs and the local retailer, the airbag has not been replaced and no action has been taken. I can not drive passengers around in the passenger seat .
Takata recall . My vehicles airbag light indicator turned on the other day while stationary san diego california went through countless mechanics to search for the problem & no luck . Did some research found out there was not 1 but 2 recalls on my vehicle both concerning the airbags. As a lyft driver and a family man I was very concerned for myself, my family & my passengers & was notified only on the 2nd recall but not the 1st. Very disappointed that safety was an issue this whole time driving this vehicle & glad nothing horrific happened.

Takata recall - replacement parts for both the front driver (manufacturer recall number pm685 NHTSA recall number 17v-449) and front passenger (manufacturer recall number pm657 NHTSA recall number 16v-349) were not made available by Nissan to my Nissan dealer (conicelli Nissan in conshohocken, pa). Coil spring recall - replacement parts for the front coil spring (manufacturer recall number pm565 NHTSA recall number 15v-573) were not made available by Nissan to my Nissan dealer (conicelli Nissan in conshohocken, pa). This is pathetic behavior by Nissan and its suppliers.
The entire control panel went out. After restarting the car, it appears there was a burning smell. More repairs for a car that is only a few years old and not even paid off. Began with the suspension right after the warranty went out. What a piece of pooh! *tr

Car was at a dead stop in my driveway. I went to back out of my driveway...and as always I started the car with my foot on the brake...put the car in reverse...began to lift my foot off the brake to coast back again as usual...without ever touching the gas pedal. The car shot back like a bullet...traveled about 45 to 50 feet and slammed into the driver side door of a parked panel truck. The car then shot forward again like a bullet and slammed into a fence pole that was set in cement. I got out of the car in shock....a neighbor came running over...I told him that all I did was put the car in reverse and then lost complete control. The car was still running...my neighbor went to turn off the engine...and said..."the car is still in reverse." he put the car in park and turned off the engine.

The muffler sound seemed quite loud on thursday, 12/27/12, something I had not noticed before. The next day friday, 12/28/12, the muffler started rattling very loudly. I called to make an appt for service and was told it was a very common problem with 2007 versas. I have an estimate of $400 to fix this. I've have owned other makes of vehicles for over 12 years that never have needed a muffler. Now that I've investigated, there are many reports of this issue, all seemed to report a poor design. The car has been garaged for the entire 6years that I've owned it and the body is actually showing rust that the dealer said Nissan would fix. Nissan refused saying the car is 6 years old. *tr

Reporting an issue with the 2007 Nissan versa intermittent brake failure. When driving on dry roads and braking hard, the brake pedal would go to the floor, then recover itself and have adequate pressure within about a minute. Car has been regularly serviced since purchase, including annual brake service. This issue has occurred twice in the car's lifetime - the first time, the driver was able to maneuver the car out of traffic without issue. Full brake system was checked out with no issues found in master cylinder or other hydraulics and unable to repeat issue. After 1.5 years, the second time the issue occurred, the driver was in stop & go rush hour traffic on dry roads and when hitting the brakes, the brake failure caused a collision with another vehicle with airbag deployment. The sun visors (l and r) will not stay up on the hook, they fall down. Partially blocking forward view. Neither visor will hold at any position, including stored. They continue to drop down. I am presently using velcro to secure the visors in a stored or up position. There ia no apparent means of adjustment, and the dealers want $200 plus to fix. I have never had an automobile have this problem with the sun visors, and I have owned at least 11 cars since 1956. *tr
