I received the notification about the recall in july 2016. It is now 10/31/16 and I am old that the new airbags are not available. I have been told that I will receive a letter when my car can be repaired, but I have not received anything to date. I am concerned that if there is impact or if weather conditions impact the defective airbag that shrapnel can be released and can be fatal to passenger(s). I cannot carry passengers in my vehicle and I am also concerned for my own well being driving my vehicle. *tr

Takata recall we received the recall at the beginning of august. We were told when we called the dealership that it would be ready to repair in september. It now seems there is no answer as to when the repair can be completed.

The "airbag" light for drivers side comes on and goes off randomly. This problem was discovered while under warranty and I did take the vehicle in for repair. But if the dealership ever repaired the problem (I suspect they did not repair it) the light still continues to come on and go off randomly. The dealership quit returning my phone calls years ago now.

Takata recall: how long is this going to take? My wife is ready to buy a new car but we are unsure about how this recall hanging over the Subaru impreza is going to affect our ability to sell or trade in the car. We assume the car can't be sold in this condition, and that's a burden. Please advise: auxinn@yahoo.com

I replaced the battery on 7/11/15. I needed a smog certificate this month for my registration renewal and my vehicle would not pass for certification. I had driven the vehicle over 700 miles after battery replacement and was told that I needed to drive it an additional 50 to 100 miles non-stop to reset the vehicle to pass the inspection. I asked at the dealership can't you reset the vehicle here so that all this driving and mileage is not required, the dealership stated no. The Volkswagen have a reset button on a panel but not the Subaru or any other vehicles. All vehicles should have a reset button and they should be recalled to implement this feature. All vehicles manufactured in the future should have that feature. This incident occurred 11/3/15 thru 11/5/15 having to spend $35.00 add

Left and right cylinder head gaskets were blown at 41,295 miles. Low mileage for this type of major engine failure. At 56,976 miles the ignition coil, spark plugs and ignition cables required replacement due to mis-fire condition associated with a cracked ignition coil. The exact same failure occurred at 81,856 miles. Both failures were accompanied by blinking check engine lamps requiring the vehicle be towed to the dealer for repair. Repeat failure of major components reflects persistent defects in design or manufacture.

I was making a slow speed (~25 MPH) left turn with my 2007 Subaru impreza 2.5i station wagon on a dimly lit intersection at night during the rain. I misjudged the turn, and turned about 2 yards too early. I drove off the road and into a ditch, colliding headon with a concrete storm drain. The driver side airbag deployed at the moment of impact. After the impact, the electrical including the headlights, stereo system and cabin lights were functioning. I was able to exit the car, and spoke with a witness who was able to call the police department. While waiting for the officers, about 6 minutes after the collision the front of the car began to smoke. About a minute later, a fire began behind the right passenger side headlight. When the officers arrived on scene, the fire had progress

We were driving on highway 14 at about 9 pm when we heard (and felt) a loud bang and then felt the noticeable bumpiness of a flat tire. We pulled over to the side to find the front passenger side tire flat, which we proceeded to change with the spare that was supplied with the car. The car is a 2007 Subaru impreza and is actually a loaner from the dealer since my car is in the shop, being repaired for the same problem for the 8th time in 2 years (separate complaint). Upon inspecting the tire the next day, it's evident that it is a blowout as it has a 4 inch slit in the sidewall and there was nothing in the road that we drove over. I have not had the tire replaced yet but the dealer is asserting that I am responsible for the tire, even though it's not my car. They did, however, offer to sel

I was at the dealership having a recall done for my front suspension a frames. (wvx34) and was told that the vehicle needed more extensive repairs as parts were corroded and could not be changed without being damaged. I was told Subaru had refused to agree the repairs until their dpsm had seen the vehicle, he would be at the dealer in the next 4 weeks. I contacted the dealer on the 5th december to be told the rep would be in until the 18th december (I am out of the country then). I contacted Subaru as I was disappointed with the service and the contacted the dealer and called me back on the 6th. I was told that the vehicle was dangerous and that the repairs were $5,000 worth and that I would have to pay as they had corrosion and that this wasn't part of the recall and the dpsm date was sti

1. I was driving and I had my right hand firmly on the wheel. Meanwhile I moved my left hand to the back side of the steering wheel. I got my middle finger stuck in the small indent (with the nut/bolt) on the driver's lefthand side on the backside of the wheel. 2. My middle finger got stuck in that indented hole and I received an electric shock. The horn/alarm was actually triggered somehow and went off while driving as a result of my finger being stuck there. I had excruciating pain in my finger. Within the few seconds that it took me to pull my finger out, it was already red, swollen, and burnt. The passenger in my car had to lean over and pull the car off onto a side road as I was in too much pain. *tr
