On dec. 18th my wife and I were driving at night going to a christmas party when the low beam headlights went out without warning.I switched to the high beams as they were still functioning. We went the last mile to our destination on the high beams. I turned off the car to see if that would re;set the lights, it did not. We went to the party and came back to the car apx. 3 hours later. I started the car and the low beams came on..after about 1/2 mile they went out again..so I pulled over and shut off the car to see if they would come on upon re-start,they did not,so we continued on with high beams. After about 10 minutes the low beams came on for the rest of our trip home. The next day I researched the issue on-line and discovered a recall had been issued for this problem I contacted the

The air bag light comes on frequently, but mainly during hot summer days and has came on several times since we purchased the vehicle march of 2019. The light comes on when we are stationary and while driving. When doing research, this seems to be a common problem with other consumers vehicles. I had read it was an electrical issue and in my opinion this is very dangerous and should be a recall. Another issue we have that I also seen was a common issue with lacrosse owners, is the power locks. None of my lock work properly, all of them have to be manually locked and unlocked. Today, december 10, 2019, we noticed that when I tried getting out of the car the door would not open. Door was unlocked and had been unlocked. My boyfriend tried opening the door from the outside and it would not ope

I have spent the entire summer being stuck at different times of the day and night. I can get in my car and it will not start. The starting disabled/theft deterrent feature pops up on the eic. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for replacement, key-fob, keys, door handles, and transponder module and it still is causing a problem. What is wrong with this car!? *tr

Our daughter was driving vehicle with a four year old in back seat when vehicle just died with no warning. She had just turned the corner traveling 20 MPH or less and had difficulty steering vehicle to curbside. She stated she could smell something burning and when my husband inspected vehicle he found melted ignition coil on cylinders 2 & 5, a blown fuse, and when taken to mechanic because it would not fire a bad ignition control module. Needless to say it was a very expensive fix. *tr

While driving at highway speed approx. 55mph the orange passenger side air bag light illuminates and says the air bag is disabled. It will fluctuate between being disabled and not being disabled. The red warning light in the instrument panel illuminates also. This only seems to happen when someone is sitting in the passenger side front seat. The individuals that are sitting in the front seat are all over 125lbs.when it has happened. It continues to occur. The passengers all have their seat belts on. *tr

I just purchased this car last week and I noticed when I hit the lock on the fob, my alarm would sound, but my door looks wouldn't close. So I tried it in my car as well with the locks on the door and nothing. The unlock works perfect by the way (fob & door locks). I manually lock my doors at night and in the morning, the locks will work a few times, and then stop again. Also the doors do not lock when you take the care out of park.

11/15/2012 91,000 mi ODI #10484791.0

We have a problem with our automatic power door locks and the remote start feature. They don't work, either by key fob or the power door lock buttons in the car. The only way we can lock our doors is manually. We took to the dealer believing it to be just the drivers door but they told us all our door lock actuators needed to be replaced, close to $1000.00 repair with no guarantee that the actuators are the true problem. After going on the NHTSA site I see that we are not alone with these problem. I can understand a actuator going bad, but not all of them at one time. I am a former dealership gsm and very aware of "normal wear and tear" and "defects". I've never in my 35 years in the business seen this with door locks. I was insulted by their offer to repair them. *tr

The drivers side low beam headlight keeps going out. I did look up any recalls, which there was for this, but it shows that it was fixed. We didn't have an issues for the first 9 months and have now replaced the bulb several times. I am concerned that it is happening while my daughter is driving this at night in a rural area with a lot of deer and other animals running into the roads.

In january of 2015 we received a recall notice from gm concerning the headlight driver module (gm safety recall 14291). We called the dealer several times to be told they were waiting for parts. We began experiencing a "headlights recommended" signal several times in broad daylight, but lived with it. When I was in the hospital in october recovering from cancer surgery my wife experienced a headlight failure when driving home alone at night. A neighbor took the car to the Buick dealer and they installed a relay, part #15016745. We then noticed that the left front headlight and the right rear tailight were not lit. As soon as I was cleared to drive I took it back and they insisted that it could not have been their fault, that it was just a coincidence that it happened at that time. I

The vehicle start making a funny noise and it kept getting louder and louder, then all of a sudden it cuts off. I was able to restart the vehicle after I sat for a while but it is still making a funny noise. I have been told by a mechanic today that it is the power steering. That will have to be fixed. I am sure that it will cost a lot of money. *tr

There is a NHTSA service bulletin id # 10024713 related to a power steering leak caused by a defective part or design. The bulletin recommends a tie down strap to prevent hose wear and resulting leakage of fluid. Loss of power steering and/or damage to the power steering unit can result from this leak. I believe Buick has been aware of this problem for some time. I question why gm did not recall all vehicles with this problem to replace the worn hose and attach a tie down strap before leakage was found. Loss of power steering can be a safety issue, as seen with the current ignition recalls. Gm is not providing any extended warranty on this defect. *tr

The fuel level sensor located in the gas tank has failed three times in the past three years. Each time the dealer has replaced the fuel level sensor. This has occurred first in dec. 2008 (7574 miles), then nov. 2009 (21145 miles), and now dec. 2010 (37344 miles). The service tech at the dealership informed me that this problem is fairly common (in fact, when I took the car in for repair this time, there was a Pontiac aztec with the same problem being repaired). The tech also told me that the cause is sulfur in the gas causing the small wires in the sensor to corrode and eventually break. The module error code error is p0463.
