Hi this truck has been a nightmare worst truck I ever owned I have sunk over 5k into it in repairs the air bag service light went on over a year ago wen I first got the truck my garage told me there were recalls on it I took it to a dealer they fixed 1 but refused to fix the air bag recall light my garage told me its unsafe and dealer should repair my garage sed metal could kill me and bag could go off at any time I took the truck to spurr Chevy in brockport and hartway chevey in medina as well as Chevy dealer in rochester and batavia all told me there is no fix and to keep driving I did and things just got worse I keep getting stranded and the truck looses power because the constant warning service air bag light I had to call aaa and get towed a bunch and get jump starts I have a 18 month
Fuel pump flow control module replacement 1500/2500, sierra 1500/2500) was never replaced by the dealer, vehicle stalled while driving, almost lost control while driving due to the engine stall. I took it to the dealership and they want to charge met to replace the fuel pump flow control module that was suppose the be fixed during the recall. I just bought this truck from the Chevy dealer a month ago.
2008 Chevy silverado 1500 fire on 11/20/20 I was driving 3 miles to my friends house and as soon as I pulled up, I smelt fire. I got out to find out that my passenger headlight and everything under the hood was on fire!! As I started to run for help, I tripped over a large size curb and landed on my face. My neck, shoulders and back have been difficult to move since this happened. I tried to lift the hood but that was too hot to do so, I ran into my friends house screaming for a fire extinguisher!! As I was running back to remove as much as I could out of the truck her husband came out with the fire extinguisher and she came with the hose. I now I can barely move my neck, my back is in severe pain, and my ribs hurt immensely. As I survived this life threatening ordeal, I started doin

Plastic dashboard cracking around passenger airbag and drivers side instrument panel.

The contact pulled over to the side of the road and then drove home. The contact stated that the failure occurred three other times. Structural frame damage found on both sides of truck while I was checking my brakes and doing a basic undercarriage inspection. Complete rebuild of frame determined by qualified frame building shop. Chunks of frame have fallen out and a lengthy crack along bottom inside rail visible.
